Ataui Deng Works The Row Cruise 2010 - Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen have done viral online video campaigns and asked Lauren Hutton to model The Row for a lookbook, but for their Cruise/Pre-Spring 2010 collection, their new creative director, T's Alex Hawgood, asked for a strong black woman. Alek Wek's niece, Ataui Deng, was cast and photographed in the label's newest luxury basics by Daniel King.

Hutton Recovering After Surfing Accident

Former supermodel Lauren Hutton's recent vacation in Hawaii almost ended in tragedy after she collided with a fellow surfer.
The 65 year old was paddling in the shallow waters off the coast of Hawaii earlier this month when a teenage surfer inadvertently slammed his board into her knee - and accidentally dragged her out to sea.
Hutton panicked when she found herself unable to take control of the situation.
She tells the National Enquirer, "I couldn't stand or swim. I was screaming, 'Save me! Save me!'"
But Hutton had a lucky escape when the surfer heard her cries for help and carried her back to the safety of the shore, where she was treated for cuts and bruises and a damaged knee ligament.
Hutton is no stranger to near-death accidents - she fell from a motorbike in October 2000 and suffered multiple leg and arm fractures, broken ribs, a punctured lung, cuts and bruises.

As the face of Dolce & Gabbana cosmetics, she paired up with the designing duo for a photo call at a department store yesterday afternoon to show off her cherry red hair and big smile. Scarlett was joined today by fellow actresses Kate Hudson, Naomi Watts, Eva Mendes and new clothes horse Freida Pinto for the brand's runway presentation. The real action was happening in their VIP room, where the ladies mixed and mingled while sipping tea.
