Appeared on stage in "G.R. Point, " (1977), "Creditors/The Stronger, " (1977), "Othello, " (1979) "Split, " (1980), "The Chehkov Sketchbook, " (1980), "Total Abandon, " (1982-83), "Glass Menagerie, " (1983-84), "The Last Yankee, " (1992).

He won the Obie award for his work in "Othello" and "Split."

Succeeded, on the Organic Theater stage in Chicago, Cecil O'Neal in the lead role of Lord Cumulus in the sci-fi trilogy "WARP!" where he joined his cousin Cordis Heard, also playing a superhero.

1989: direct-to-video adaptation of "The Scarlett Letter".
