Final Wolverine 3 Trailer Is Coming This Thursday

11 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

A few weeks ago, 20th Century Fox launched a viral website offering fans a special postcard featuring one of 1974 frames from the final Logan trailer. Those postcards were sent out last week, with star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold sharing the first and last frames. Today, we have word that this trailer debuts Thursday, January 19, and that it will in fact be a full trailer, reportedly clocking in at two minutes and 21 seconds.

Trailer Track spotted a Facebook listing by Fox Taiwan, which revealed the final Logan trailer will drop on Thursday, January 19. Some fans were concerned that the final trailer will be quite short, since 1,974 frames comes in an at just under 90 seconds. The German agency Fsk recently rated the new trailer, revealing that the runtime is two minutes and 21 seconds. Much like the October trailer launch, there have been two separate trailers that have been rated, so »

Logan synopsis, new images and a hint of the score revealed

20 hours ago | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Author: Jon Lyus

We’re due another trailer for James Mangold’s second Wolverine X-Men film this week. If it’s anything like the the amazing first teaser trailer we’re in for a treat. Logan is setting itself up to be a very different type of X-Men film. The ending of X-Men Apocalypse, apart from being something of a blessed relief, laid the breadcrumbs from which we can ascertain some of the plot for what Hugh Jackman is calling his last film as the iconic laconic superhero.

The casting of Richard E. Grant, and the subsequent image released online by the director, gave us the identity of the big bad in this new film. Grant will play Dr. Zander Rice, the man responsible for creating X-23 who will accompany Logan on his journey in true The Last of Us style. Dafne Keen is X-23, or Laura Kinney, and much »

Over the weekend, the filmmaker shared three new images, featuring Hugh Jackman's Logan, Patrick Stewart's Professor X and Dafne Keen's X-23. The director also released a statement to the fans, who keep asking him when the new trailer will arrive. Here's what the filmmaker had to say in a series of tweets.

"To all asking directors (like me) to drop a trailer, please know, its not like we sit on them waiting for best worded tweet to move us. Directors have influence over many things. Even dates. But the dates chosen for a trailer drop are result of much corporate planning. And once these dates are set, there is nothing that is going to make a worldwide distribution machine change course. »

Official Logan Synopsis Reveals New Wolverine 3 Story Details

13 January 2017 10:31 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Sadly for fans of the X-Men franchise, Hugh Jackman is getting ready to hang up the claws as Wolverine after nearly two decades playing him. Assuming Ryan Reynolds can't talk him into coming back for a movie with Deadpool, that is. On the plus side, we still have one more standalone Wolverine movie coming in the form of Logan this March, which is easily one of the most anticipated movies of the year. Now, Hugh Jackman has finally revealed the official synopsis for the upcoming Wolverine adventure.

The 48-year-old actor jumped on his Twitter to reveal this first official synopsis for Logan, which is a bit surprising since the movie is coming out in just a couple of months. Similar to much of the rest of the marketing materials for Logan, it is set against the backdrop of a gorgeous black and white, ominous photo from the movie. Here is the synopsis. »

"Between us - we'll have them weeping in the aisles." An official UK trailer has debuted for the latest film from acclaimed director Lone Scherfig, of the films The Riot Club, One Day and An Education (one of my favorites). Gemma Arterton stars as a writer, along with an impressive ensemble including Sam Claflin, Bill Nighy, Jack Huston, Paul Ritter, Rachael Stirling, Richard E. Grant, Henry Goodman, Jake Lacy, Jeremy Irons, Eddie Marsan and Helen McCrory. This is also playing at the Sundance Film Festival coming up, and it looks like it's worth catching. Logan to premiere at the Berlin Film Festival

10 January 2017 10:56 AM, PST | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

James Mangold has taken to Twitter to announce that 20th Century Fox’s latest X-Men offering Logan is set to receive its world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival in February, where it will screen out of competition.

Logan has ambitions of offering something more than standard superhero fare, with Mangold previously describing the R-rated film as “a grown up drama that also features intense action”, and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds even claiming it could potentially “break the glass ceiling” for comic book movies at the Oscars.

The film is expected to mark Hugh Jackman’s final outing as the fan-favourite mutant Wolverine, although recent comments seem to indicate that he may be giving some thought to returning once again for a team-up movie with Reynolds’ Deadpool.

Logan Runs from His Past in New Wolverine 3 Photos

In just under two months, fans will get to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine one final time on the big screen in the highly-anticipated Logan, which is shaping up as one of this spring's most highly-anticipated movies. It remains unclear when the next batch of footage will be released, but until then, star Hugh Jackman and director James Mangold unveiled two more photos offering new looks at the title character. If another star of the X-Men universe has his way, though, Logan won't be the last time we see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine on the big screen.

Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds said in a recent interview that he would love to try and change Hugh Jackman's mind about retiring his Wolverine character, and bring him back for a Deadpool vs. Wolverine movie. Hugh Jackman wouldn't completely rule out returning in such a movie, claiming that he could "totally see how that's the perfect fit, »

Interview: Director James Mangold talks ‘Logan’

5 January 2017 8:01 AM, PST | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

Set for a release this Spring (March to be precise), Logan is the latest and last(?) film in the standalone Wolverine movies. Set in the near future, Logan sees an aging Wolverine and Professor X working together to protect a young female clone of Wolverine – aka X-23 from the Marvel comic of the same name – from an evil organization led by Nathanial Essex.

Logan once again stars Hugh Jackman as Logan/Wolverine (this time more aged and haggard a la the Old Man Logan comicsverse), Patrick Stewart as Professor X, Dafne Keen as X-23, Richard E. Grant as Dr. Zander Rice, Stephen Merchant, Boyd Holbrook, Elizabeth Rodriguez, Doris Morgado and Eriq La Salle.

Also returning to the franchise is The Wolverine director James Mangold, who in this interview – which took place at the Fox Showcase – discusses the latest film and how it differs from the previous movies…

We’re in the thick of it with awards season right now, as Moonlight, La La Land, Manchester by the Sea, Arrival, Hidden Figures, Silence and more vie for the top prizes of the year. But Ryan Reynolds is already looking ahead, as he believes Logan will do gangbusters during the next awards season. In fact, the actor/producer behind Deadpool thinks it might even end up as a future Oscar contender.

In an interview with Variety, Reynolds, who is currently a Golden Globe nominee for Deadpool, took the opportunity to continue singing the praises of director James Mangold’s (The Wolverine) latest spin with the grizzled superhero character, which is set to be the last featuring Hugh Jackman in the lead role. If the darker, meaner, R-rated superhero film is as good as he thinks it’ll be, based on what he’s seen, »
