The film follows an assassin, who’s double crossed by gangsters and finds himself in the hands of a rogue surgeon — played by Sigourney Weaver — who turns him into a woman. Rodriguez plays the assassin, who sets out for revenge.
“This is a revenge action thriller with a twist,” said Saban Film’s Bill Bromiley. “’Tomboy, A Revenger’s Tale’ is a unique and clever film which will take audience in a cool adventure.”

David Lynch today unveiled the full cast list for his upcoming Showtime Twin Peaks follow-up — and is it a doozy. Two hundred and seventeen actors are credited, with both newcomers and returning thespians. Previously only Kyle MacLachlan had been confirmed as FBI Agent Dale Cooper.
Will Agent Cooper use a smartphone?
Let’s check out some of the more interesting names on the list, shall we?
Michael Cera: The erstwhile Scott Pilgrim has been keeping busy since his breakout role as George Michael Bluth on Arrested Development, but he usually sticks with comedy (Year One, Superbad). It’ll be interesting to see him tackle something so dark.
Will this hair get frizzier in perpetually damp Twin Peaks?
Trent Reznor: The Oscar-winning composer and Nine Inch Nails wizard has only two credits under his belt (aside from three video shorts): a 2000 Swedish thriller called Recycled and the 1987 Michael J. Fox »

The new "Twin Peaks" isn't slated to debut on Showtime until 2017, but a flurry of speculation about it happened last week with a tweet from Go For Locations indicating that filming had wrapped on the "first two seasons" of the series.
The episode count for the David Lynch-directed series was always in question, but that tweet suggested we'd be getting even more episodes than originally planned. Said tweet has since been deleted, so we'll have to wait to see how that pans out.
in the meantime in more official news, Showtime, Lynch and Mark Frost has released the official cast list for the new series with a whopping 217 names across the various episodes - a list that includes some real surprise big name inclusions such as Monica Bellucci, Michael Cera, Naomi Watts, Tim Roth, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Eddie Vedder, Ashley Judd, Ernie Hudson, Jim Belushi, Richard Chamberlain, Laura Dern, »

Before Rob Zombie became an acclaimed horror director with such cult hits as House Of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects and The Lords of Salem, he was an acclaimed rock musician who directed his own music videos. Today, he returns to that realm with a new music video/short film called Everybody's (bleeping) in a U.F.O. And it's pretty insane!
This creepy sci-fi extravaganza stars a host of special guests and musicians including Rob Zombie himself, who takes the lead. We also get to see John 5, Piggy D, Ginger Fish, Jeff Daniel Phillips and the ever present Sheri Moon Zombie as Miss Bunny Peachbottom. Bunny has had sex with an extraterrestrial and lives to tell about it. Now, she's sharing her exploits with a class full of astronauts. Yeah, it's pretty weird, and only gets weirder from there.
This short film/music video is definitely Nsfw. And »

Rob Zombie took the Sundance Film Festival by storm back in January when he debuted his new thriller 31. The project had already landed distribution through Alchemy last summer, but they have not issued a release date as of yet. While we wait for the first trailer, Bloody-Disgusting has gotten a hold of new photos, which feature Richard Brake's Doom-Head in full clown makeup. We got our first look at Doom-Head back in September, but the character wasn't showing such a thirst for blood at the time.
Rob Zombie believes Doom-Head will be the next iconic horror villain. Richard Brake plays Doom-Head as a gruesome individual who likes to dismember his victims. Rob Zombie always comes up with unique and clever way of creating memorable characters, a tradition that will certainly continue with 31.
31 tells the story of five carnies in 1976 kidnapped on the morning of Halloween. »

March 12th and 13th is looking pretty spooky, with the recently announced, Michigan-based Phobia Fest. Taking place inside Tory, Michigan’s Motion Picture Institute (a 20,000 ft. production facility with soundstages and various other areas), the Fest focuses on what scares the living hell out of genre fans, as well as hosting over 12 Midwest premieres, a “Miss Phobia” pageant and an impressive amount of various other events as well.
Genre faves such as They Live/Rob Zombie’s 31 star Meg Foster (showing the debut trailer from her upcoming film, At Sunrise), Children Of The Corn‘s Courtney Gains and FX legend Tom Sullivan will be appearing at the event, which will also feature a 20th anniversary Mosquito screening and cast/crew reunion, courtesy of Synapse Films.
Having seen a few of the films that will be screening at the Fest, I can say that it’s looking to be a wild time. »

Over this past weekend, Rob Zombie’s latest genre effort, 31, premiered at the 2016 Sundance Film Festival as part of the Midnight programming slate. Daily Dead had the chance to catch up with both Zombie and his wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, the following day to chat about their latest collaboration.
During our interview, the duo discussed making "grown-up horror", the pros of utilizing some familiar faces from Zombie’s previous films for 31, dealing with criticism and so much more.
Thanks for chatting today guys and congrats on the movie, too. Not only is it really cool to see your evolution as a director over the years, Rob, but it's also really cool to see you, Sheri, change so much throughout all these different films too. I thought Charly was just a lot of fun in 31, and while I'm not going to ruin anything for anybody, that final scene with Richard [Brake] was so great. »

31 was undoubtedly made for those of us who have enjoyed Zombie’s work over the years. It may not be as ambitious as The Lords of Salem or as epic as The Devil’s Rejects but, by and large, it’s a ton of blood-soaked fun that gives us real characters to connect with, introduces us to some incredibly twisted assassins and goes for broke at every possible turn.
The story feels like Zombie’s own horror-fied version of The Running Man (with a bit of a Kubrickian flavor to it) and features breakout performances from Richard Brake and Jeff Daniel Phillips. Folks who aren’t into Zombie’s work probably won’t enjoy 31, but any film that gives the amazing Meg Foster the opportunity to wield a chainsaw like a total badass is aces in my book.
31’s story is pretty straightforward; a group of carnies (Sheri Moon Zombie, »

The 32nd president Franklin Delano Roosevelt once said, "The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." Face your fears with Phobia Fest 2016, kicking off on March 12th in Michigan courtesy of the creators of Detroit Zombie Con, who have just announced new guests and screenings for the event.

Rob Zombie truly loves horror movies. But he still hasn’t made a good one, and “31” is a perfect encapsulation of the reasons why: It’s a fanboy’s highlight reel of homages, without any of the credibility or context that made most of the films he’s inspired by so fine. Those who liked his first narrative features, “House of 1000 Corpses” and “The Devil’s Rejects,” will probably enjoy his latest, which feels like a mash-up of the two (as well as numerous older films). But for others, this energetic exercise in forced badassery will be too silly and self-conscious to feel genuinely edgy, despite all the blood spilt and familiar taboos violated. (You know something’s wrong when your reaction to one character’s entrance is “Oh. A Nazi killer dwarf. That figures.”) As with Zombie’s prior efforts outside the “Halloween” reboots, this looks destined for »
