Coming Soon: The Return Of ‘Heroes’ Greatness

12 December 2008 11:09 AM, PST | | See recent Screen Rant news »

So by now we all know that NBC’s super powered soap opera, Heroes, has been having a rough third season. The series’ ratings have plummeted, and both critics and fans are saying that the latest chapter, “Villains”, is the show’s most disappointing installment yet. (And that’s really saying something, considering how bad “Generations” sucked).

NBC has recently demonstrated just how committed they are to righting all that is currently wrong with Heroes by firing two of the shows top producers. Now the network hopes to continue steering Heroes in the right direction again, by bringing back one of the show’s most popular writers and introducing new plotlines that will hopefully return the show to its focused, coherent, former self.

If you don’t recognize the name Bryan Fuller, here’s a quick reminder: He’s the man who scribed what is arguably Heroes‘ greatest episode to date, »

Review: 'Heroes' - The Eclipse, Part 1

25 November 2008 1:24 AM, PST | | See recent GeekNation news »

This review contains Major Spoilers for "The Eclipse, Part 1," the tenth episode from the third season of "Heroes." Last week it was coming. This week, it's here. "The Eclipse" arrived with some sobering developments for our "Heroes" and villains, stripping their powers and making them just like the rest of us. Arthur Petrelli's (Robert Forster) pre-cog drawing spree has yielded a series of sketches predicting possible doom for Claire (Hayden Panettiere); Mohinder (Sendhil Ramamurthy) trapped in his own sticky web; Elle (Kristen Bell) and Sylar (Zachary Quinto) in lip-lock; Nathan (Adrian Pasdar) and Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) in freefall; and Hiro (Masi Oka), Ando (James Kyson lee) and Matt (Greg Grunberg) in a cornfield. All of these provide a framework for events as the episodes »

Review: 'Heroes' - Eris Quod Sum

28 October 2008 3:26 PM, PDT | | See recent GeekNation news »

This review contains Major Spoilers for "Eric Quod Sum," the latest episode of the NBC series, "Heroes."The Petrelli family and the word .dysfunctional. always belong in the same sentence, and girl power is electric! Papa Arthur Petrelli (Robert Forster) may be the frightening inspiration for the title of this week.s episode of .Heroes.. .Eris Quod Sum. is Latin for .I am what you will be,. and if absolute power corrupts absolutely, then others with powers have the potential to be just as dangerous as the kingpin of the Petrelli clan. The story unfolds with Hiro (Masi Oka) and Ando (James Kyson Lee), still stuck in Africa with precog painter Usutu (Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine). Debating over what the right thing to do next to save the world is, Hiro refuses to time travel again to try to fix »

Will 'Heroes' Bring Back A Petrelli In Season 3?

4 August 2008 9:35 AM, PDT | | See recent GeekNation news »

The following contains Moderate Spoilers for the third season of NBC's "Heroes." Death is not a permanent state of being in science fiction or in television, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that Arthur Petrelli, presumed to have passed away on "Heroes," will likely be making a comeback in the show's upcoming third year, according to Michael Ausiello of Entertainment Weekly. Sources tell Ausiello that the Father Petrelli will be played by Robert Forster, who has appeared in genre films including "Spawn 3: Ultimate Battle" and a variety of television shows including "Desperate Housewives" and "Numb3rs." Of course, with "Heroes"' penchant for time travel and flashbacks, it is uncertain whether or not Papa Petrelli will still be alive. And if he is alive, will he use his powers? »

Living Life in the 'Fastlane'... A DVD Review

The Candy Store

Photo: Warner Home Video I started creating in 2003, but one year before that a little show called "Fastlane" premiered on Fox, and while it did worm its way into the first four months of 2003 that was where it died. The self-described "adult music video" has the look of C.S.I. Miami in all its warm color blasted neon, a soundtrack reserved for '90s MTV and enough female ass and sexual innuendo to make for a kick ass time. That's right folks, the "complete" series DVD set of "Fastlane" was not sent to me with the hope that I may cover it. Nope, I requested this bad boy as this is one of those guilty pleasures I was always sorry it gotten taken off the air. Tiffani and Peter had a good working relationship...
