Another week, another Monday. So it’s time for the rundown of DVDs and Blu-ray’s hitting stores online and offline this week. It’s another packed week, with plenty of movies waiting to take you money, so let us breakdown the new releases and highlight what you should – and shouldn’t – be buying from today, May 21st 2012.

"House," the medical drama that has also been a character study of a misanthropic genius doctor played wonderfully by Hugh Laurie, is coming to a close Monday, May 21 after eight seasons. Zap2it would like to take a look back at the strongest episodes of the series.
It was hard to narrow down, indeed. The show has always been fairly strong, with individual episodes that we'd put right up there with the best of any show. But here are the ones that made the cut.
"Three Stories," S1, E21
The first season of "House" was fine - but the show really took off with "Three Stories." House gives a lecture to a class of medical students, recounting three different leg injuries. Carmen Electra gives a rather delightful guest-starring turn and the viewers finally find out why Dr. House has his limp.

Phase 4 Films will be releasing 'Sand Sharks' into the open seas of the North American DVD market on 31 July. Under a new rhyming scheme spin-off model for new shows, you’ll soon be able to watch The Choice, and see celebrities submit themselves to a blind date experiment. It’s The Voice‘s “no see” format, but now eligible celebrities are choosing potential romantic partners.
It’s bound to be crazy, and some of the “celebrities” only have loose ties to the claim, but it certainly looks to be the sort of madness people will check out.
Is this show too much? Let me know your thoughts. This falls into a category of reality that I find hard to predict, and I’d love to know if people are looking forward to it.

Carmen Electra has called off her four-year engagement to former Filter guitarist Rob Patterson, but don't get too excited - unless you're a contestant on this summer's "The Choice" on Fox.
"[The engagement's] off ... They're more like roommates. They don't share a bedroom anymore and they sleep in separate parts of her house," a source tells Life & Style.
The news comes on the heels of Fox's announcement of the celebrities who will be participating on their summer dating show "The Choice," where famous singles will go on dates with non-famous singles based on what they hear, as their backs will be to the contestants "Voice"-style.
The show is primarily featuring male celebs and female non-celebs, but there will be one episode that features four female celebrities - Carmen Electra, Hope Dworaczyk, Rima Fakih and Sophie Monk.
This would have been Carmen's third marriage. She was previously married to rock star Dave Navarro »

The folks at Fox have announced the celebrity bachelors and bachelorettes for The Choice, their upcoming blind date show. They include a mixture of actors, singers, athletes and reality stars: Tyson Beckford, Jeremy Bloom, Dean Cain, Mike Catherwood, Jason Cook, DJ Pauly D, Rocco Dispirito, Rob Gronkowski, Taylor Hicks, Joe Jonas, Rob Kardashian, Steven Lopez, Finesse Mitchell, Dr. Robert Nettles, Romeo, Warren Sapp, Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino, Ndamukong Suh, Seth Wescott, Parker Young, Hope Dworaczyk, Carmen Electra, Rima Fakih, and Sophie Monk.
The Choice dating series debuts on Thursday, June 7th and, for now, is scheduled for six episodes. Cat Deeley is the host.

Model/actress Carmen Electra and rocker Rob Patterson have called off their engagement.
The couple announced plans to wed in 2008, but Electra has since ended her relationship with the Filter musician, although they remain close and are still living in the same house.
A source tells Life & Style magazine, "It's off. She hasn't been wearing her ring for a while, but they're good friends and it's been really hard for them to fully separate."
News of the split emerges a day after the beauty was unveiled as a celebrity contestant on new U.S. TV dating show The Choice.
The insider adds, "Carmen's really nervous about getting back into the dating pool, so keeping Rob around makes her feel less anxious about being single. It's not like they'll get back together. The romance part is dead. They're done."

Can you convince a celebrity to take you on a date without seeing who you are? What if you had a hometown advantage?
When new Fox show "The Choice" airs next month, viewers will see if regular folks can woo stars, including two from the Detroit area.
Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh and former Miss USA Rima Fakih will be two of the contestants on new reality dating show "The Choice," EW.com reported Wednesday.
Premiering June 7, the Fox show lets celebrities hear pitches from unseen potential suitors and choose among them to line up a date. The prodedure is styled after NBC's hit singing contest "The Voice."
While good looks, talent and/or fame bless Suh, Fakih and most of their fellow celebrity contestants, we wonder if the "regular people" trying to score a date will be aware of these celebs' past indiscretions.
