Well, there are two version of "Jane Got A Gun": the movie that could have been and the one we're going to get. As you well know, Lynne Ramsay was long attached to direct the western and had corralled a cast that include Natalie Portman, Michael Fassbender and Joel Edgerton. Then Fassbender left, and Jude Law joined. Then Ramsay left. Then Gavin O'Connor joined. Then Law left. Then Bradley Cooper joined. Still with us? Well, the movie has finally locked things down for 2.0 with "The Americans" star Noah Emmerich coming on board. The actor is longtime O'Connor pal/fave, appearing in each of the director's features so far, so very little chance of him bailing on the movie and it coming to a stop again. For whatever it's worth, both Emmerich and Portman appeared in Ted Demme's "Beautiful Girls." To refresh your memory: The film will follow Jane Hammond »

Exclusive: Noah Emmerich, whose work as a conflicted FBI agent has been a highlight of the FX Cold War series The Americans, has been set to play the final major lead role in Jane Got A Gun, the Gavin O’Connor-directed Western that stars Natalie Portman, Bradley Cooper and Joel Edgerton. This story first appeared in the Feb. 15 issue of The Hollywood Reporter magazine. Ted Demme's widow, Amanda, is nearly finished with her long-gestating documentary about the director, who died of a heart attack in 2002. The film, produced by James Franco and Denis Leary, isn't some standard encomium. Photos: Sundance Film Festival 2013: THR's Video Diaries "It's done as a mockumentary since he was such a funny f---ing guy," says Amanda, a music supervisor-turned-nightlife impresario-turned-photographer. She has taken an unorthodox approach: Demme's pals, including Harvey Weinstein and Doug Herzog, reminisce in the presence
