During Wednesday’s high-octane finale of Revenge, it was revealed that Emily (Emily Van Camp) may not be alone in this world after all.
Her mother lives!
That means a new foe for Victoria will pop up in season 2. Oh, the possibilities! To whet our appetites, this is what creator Mike Kelley had to say about the new part to EW’s Tanner Stransky: “What we really want to do is find the perfect actor for the role. It would be really great for her to be as formidable as Madeleine , but it’s a completely different part. What you »

Ben Affleck has given politician Elizabeth Warren a big boost as she seeks a senate seat in his native Massachusetts after hosting a star-studded Hollywood fundraiser for her campaign.
The Boston boy helped to raise $250,000 (GBP156,250) at the glitzy Monday night party, held at filmmaker J.J. Abrams' production base in Santa Monica, California.
Consumer advocate Elizabeth Warren, a Harvard Law professor, is fighting for the late Ted Kennedy’s Massachusetts vacant office.
Affleck's pal Matt Damon and fellow Boston native John Krasinski were billed as co-hosts of the event, dubbed A Massachusetts Evening, but they had to bow out due to work commitments.
As well as Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner, other celebrities who attended the fundraiser included Reese Witherspoon, Zach Braff, Dana Delany and Tobey Maguire, while directors Steven Spielberg and Rob Reiner and movie moguls Jeffrey Katzenberg and Harvey Weinstein were among those who contributed to the success of the event. »

So, cards on the table: It's been a good couple seasons since we paid any kind of close attention to the ins and outs of "Desperate Housewives," which we suspect puts us among at least a sizable chunk of the audience watching Sunday's (May 13) series finale.
What we were primarily interested in was how the show would leave the four women who have been such a big part of the television landscape over the past eight seasons. The answer: In a pretty good place, for both the show and its characters. As subversive as the show loved being about the conventions of nighttime soaps, it always took the side of its main characters. Happy endings, with a touch of sadness, were about what we expected, and creator Marc Cherry and Co. delivered pretty nicely.

Spoiler alert! If you haven’t seen the two-hour Desperate Housewives series finale and intend to, stop reading now. If you haven’t seen it but want to know how it ended, continue. We break it down below.
Bree (Marcia Cross): She was on trial for allegedly killing Gaby’s (Eva Longoria) abusive stepfather Alejandro, which Carlos (Antonio Chavira) had actually done. Renee (Vanessa Williams) went to see her fiancé Ben (Charles Mesure) when he got thrown in jail for contempt before their wedding because he refused to answer questions on the stand about an incriminating phone conversation with Bree. »

Spoilerphobes beware: The following recap spells out exactly how Desperate Housewives tied up all its loose ends, so if the episode is still on deck on your DVR lineup, don’t say you haven’t been warned!
And they all lived…well, not exactly.
Desperate Housewives wrapped its eight-season run with a two-hour finale that featured a death, a birth, a wedding, a reconciliation, a dramatic courtroom confession, and (rather surprisingly) all the members of the original poker-playing quartet exiting Wisteria Lane for good. There were at least two guaranteed tearjerker moments (Tom and Lynette admitting they were still in »

Behind the wisteria lurk the secrets, affairs and lies one admits only to closest friends. Through marriages, divorces, births, deaths -- accidental and intentional -- illnesses, triumphs, children and crimes, one bond remains indestructible: the women's friendship.
ABC's "Desperate Housewives" comes to what will undoubtedly be an over-the-top two-hour finale Sunday, May 13. Even as the actresses head into their final weeks after eight seasons, they don't know what will happen, but they respect creator Marc Cherry's cloak of secrecy. Three of the four original housewives -- Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and Eva Longoria (Teri Hatcher declined to participate) -- and Vanessa Williams, who joined two years ago, reflect on the show in long, separate interviews with Zap2it.

Bubble shows are called that because things can really go either way -- for "Scandal," it meant a Season 2 renewal today, but for "Gcb" and a handful of others, it means cancellation.
ABC has officially canceled "Gcb," its Texas-centric freshman dramedy starring Annie Potts, Kristin Chenoweth and Leslie Bibb, along with three other dramas that were on major life support.
If you were holding out hope for lofty period-spy drama "Pan Am" or the "Paranormal Activity"-esque thriller "The River," hope is lost -- both shows join Ashley Judd's globe-trotting "Missing" (which was set up to be a one-season venture initially anyway) on the chopping block.
But ABC has saved a few fan-favorite shows: Shonda Rhimes' other ABC series "Private Practice" -- which moved from the post-"Grey's Anatomy" timeslot to Tuesdays when "Scandal" premiered -- will get a sixth season; Dana Delany's medical examiner drama "Body of Proof »

Updated: That was close! ABC has renewed Private Practice and Body of Proof. Shonda Rhimes’ medical drama is coming back for a sixth round, while the procedural starring Dana Delany will return for a third season.
Earlier Friday, Rhimes’ other bubble show, Scandal, as well as the freshman comedy Don’t Trust the B— in Apt. 23 and the comedy Happy Endings, were also renewed. And at the very end of ABC’s Friday pickups, the network finally gave a thumbs up to Tim Allen’s Last Man Standing.

ABC’s medical procedural Body Of Proof has been renewed for a third season with a 13-episode order. It was unclear whether ABC would hold onto a pure procedural like Body of Proof with its schedule dominated by serialized dramas, but the series’ its chances have been steadily improving over the last few weeks. The series starring Dana Delany has been a reliable performer in the Tuesday 10 Pm slot and also has been a big international seller for ABC Studios, which co-produces it with Matthew Gross Entertainment. »

Updated: ABC just made its “no-brainer” renewals, picking up its strongest scripted series. That includes freshmen Once Upon A Time, Suburgatory and Revenge, comedies Modern Family and The Middle and dramas Grey’s Anatomy and Castle. (The renewal for Grey’s comes after the main cast signed new deals.) Surprisingly not on the list is sophomore comedy Happy Endings, but I hear that deal is closing, so the show will be back. Also expected to return are two freshman comedy series that didn’t make the first cut, Last Man Standing and Don’t Trust The B—-. Looking good is Shonda Rhimes’ midseason drama Scandal. Talks are still ongoing on a potential 13-episode pickup of Grey’s spinoff Private Practice, which logged underwhelming ratings this week after a promising start on Tuesday. The future of Gcb and Body of Proof is unclear, with both having a shot depending on »

ABC’s Desperate Housewives will conclude its eight-year run this Sunday at 9/8c, and from the look of these series finale photos, the two-hour swan song — titled “Give Me the Blame”/”Finishing the Hat” — will feature drama of the legal, familial and medical varieties, the hint of a romantic reconciliation (We spy someone holding hands!) and a callback to one of the Wisteria Laners’ favorite pastimes — a friendly poker game. Do you think the sudser’s very final frame will in fact be of the ladies playing cards, with so many years’ worth of highs and lows behind them? »

ABC is remaining mum on episode details, though we can confirm the first half of the installment is titled "Give Me the Blame," while the second is titled "Finishing the Hat." How will it all end? How do you want it to all end?

Grab a tissue because the "Desperate Housewives" series finale promises to be chock full of touching moments. In a new behind the scenes report from TV Guide Magazine, the ladies of "Desperate Housewives" revealed there were many, many tears once they began work on the series finale.
The cast received the scripts over the weekend of April 13 and at the first table read, there wasn't a dry eye in the house.
"It was a crying fest," Eva Longoria told TV Guide Magazine. "Brenda [Strong, who plays Mary Alice] couldn't get through her voice-overs. I couldn't get through my dialogue."
After the table read, Felicity Huffman said she, Longoria and Marcia Cross spent close to an hour together, "crying, hugging and reminiscing." (Teri Hatcher was at an ABC event.)
"It was a sweet, private moment for us," Cross said.
How does it all end? ABC has kept the details on lockdown, but we do know familiar »
