John Travolta Shares Kelly Preston's Mother's Day Video

18 May 2012 1:06 AM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

John Travolta has put on a united front with Kelly Preston amid sexual battery allegations by releasing a touching video he gave his wife for Mother's Day.

The actor has had a miserable month after being targeted by sensational claims of sexual misconduct and a U.S. tabloid report suggesting he tried to grope his Grease co-star Jeff Conaway.

But Travolta has proved his 21-year marriage is still going strong by sharing a home video he made for the actress.

In a post on his website entitled "A mother's day gift for Kelly", the Pulp Fiction star tells how Preston "was so happy with my Mother's Day video to her, we wanted to share it with you".

The four-minute clip opens with the words, "From me, to you" and features never-before-seen snaps from the Travoltas' private family album, including treasured shots of their late son Jett, who died after a seizure in 2009.

There are also recent photos of their 12-year-old daughter Ella Bleu, Travolta kissing Kelly, and of their 18-month-old son Benjamin.

It concludes with the message, "With all my love, Johnny." »

John Travolta's Lawyer Fires Back At Conaway's Ex Over Groping Accusations

17 May 2012 6:41 PM, PDT | WENN | See recent WENN news »

John Travolta's attorney has slammed reports suggesting his client attempted to grope his late Grease co-star Jeff Conaway during an awkward encounter six years ago.

Tragic Conaway's girlfriend Vicki Lizzi has gone public with the sensational claims in U.S. tabloid Globe in the same week as two unnamed masseurs both dropped sexual battery lawsuits against Travolta, in which they claimed the movie star had acted inappropriately during alleged spa sessions.

Lizzi tells the publication that the alleged groping incident that occurred at Conaway's California home came to light in a suicide note her late boyfriend wrote in 2006 before a failed attempt to take his own life. She claims the encounter put a strain on Travolta and Conaway's longtime friendship and drove them apart.

But the Pulp Fiction star's lawyer Singer insists the Lizzi interview is "reckless" and he has fired off an angry statement blasting the magazine's editors for publishing the report.

His statement, issued to Eonline.com, reads: "This spate of recklessly published tabloid stories is just part of a malicious tabloid agenda to boost lagging sales by running outrageous defamatory stories about my client sourced by people seeking notoriety or a payday."

Singer has also taken aim at Lizzi herself, adding, "Vicki Lizzi, the late Jeff Conaway's estranged girlfriend, has been a regular paid source... yet this is the very first time we are hearing this new outlandish story that is supposedly based on a six-year-old notarized suicide note.

"Vikki Lizzi sold more stories than we can count to (Globe parent company) Ami publications both before and after Jeff Conaway died (in May, 2011)."

Earlier this week, Singer was celebrating after the two masseurs dropped their lawsuits against his client, insisting Travolta had been "vindicated", and on Thursday, he told TMZ.com that reports suggesting the two men had been paid for their silence were incorrect: "Not one penny has been paid, nor do we have any intention to pay any money for these ridiculous and false claims."

The two unidentified masseurs, known only as John Doe #1 and #2, alleged Travolta had touched them inappropriately and propositioned them for sex during two separate appointments in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia earlier this year.

The first lawsuit was dismissed on Tuesday and the second was withdrawn on Thursday. »

Claim: John Travolta in Sham Marriage, Had Sex with Co-Star Jeff Conaway

17 May 2012 2:51 PM, PDT | GossipCop | See recent GossipCop news »

Sister tabloids National Enquirer and Star are continuing to attack John Travolta with allegations that his marriage to Kelly Preston is a sham and that he's engaged in a decades-long string of gay liaisons. This week, the mags have given particular attention to Vikki Lizzi, the estranged girlfriend of the late Jeff Conaway, Travolta's co-star in Grease more than thirty years ago. Lizzi makes some very serious, completely unsubstantiated claims in both the Enquirer and Star -- specifically, that Conaway allegedly revealed that Travolta had once performed oral sex on him as he slept. »

John Travolta's Second Accuser Hires Gloria Allred Amidst Flurry Of New Allegations

17 May 2012 2:16 PM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

High-profile attorney Gloria Allred is now set to represent two of the alleged victims to come forward with claims they were sexually harassed by John Travolta.

TMZ reports that Allred is now representing John Doe #2, the second of two anonymous masseurs to charge Travolta with sexual battery and assault, but notes "it's unclear exactly what Allred is doing with him."

The news comes one day after Allred confirmed she'd taken on the case of John Doe #1, who is described in court documents simply as a Texas-based masseur. Late last week, John Doe #1 was dropped by his legal counsel, Los Angeles-based attorney Okorie Okorocha, after the alleged victim revealed he'd gotten the date of his supposed encounter with the "Pulp Fiction" star wrong when filing suit.

As TMZ reported earlier, John Doe #2 -- said to be a masseur at an undisclosed Atlanta-based resort -- followed suit by firing Okorocha, and announcing »

Travolta Put His Mouth on Grease Co-Star Conaway

We were hoping it had gone away , but John Travolta’s Gropegate lives on: The latest claim is that he once tried to perform a sex act on his Grease co-star, Jeff Conaway. Conaway’s former fiancée tells the National Enquirer that Conaway was asleep at home in the 1990s, and woke up to Travolta giving him oral sex, the New York Post reports. The incident ended their long friendship, she claims. (The incident also spurred the Post to use the regrettable line, “John Travolta just couldn’t resist a quickie with Kenickie.”) The ex is apparently on a tabloid tour, because »

23 High School Movies That Get The Passing Grade

15 March 2012 1:17 PM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

Considering it's where most of us (bar the weird home-schooled kids) spend our crucial formative years, where we have our first fights, our first loves, our first tentative steps into adulthood, it's no surprise that high school has long been a popular setting for movies. A range of genres (though generally leaning towards comedy) have taken place in those hallways, particularly from the 1980s onwards, when John Hughes, among others, made an entire career out of the lives and loves of 15-18 year olds.

The latest film to head back to class is "21 Jump Street" (review here) the big-screen reboot of the '80s TV show, which stars Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum as youthful-looking cops who are sent back to high school in order to bust a drug-running ring. While you might assume this to be another lazy remake, you'd be very wrong, as Tatum, Hill, co-writer Michael Bacall, »

Some people watch the Oscars to see the pretty dresses, look for potential nip slips, revel in the weepy acceptance speeches, root against the leading contenders and yes, a few even tuned in for host Billy Crystal's paint-by-numbers movie spoofs.

But then there are those of us who wait for the annual "In Memoriam" segment that pays tribute to those the movie world has last over the past year, eager to see who has been omitted. In the past two years, that list has included "Airplane!" star Peter Graves and "Lost Boys" actor Corey Haim. In 2010, some fans were outraged that former pin-up and "Charlie's Angels" star Farrah Fawcett (who appeared in films including "Logan's Run" and »

Conaway's Exes Feud Over Late Star's Possessions

16 January 2012 4:06 AM, PST | WENN | See recent WENN news »

Jeff Conaway's former girlfriend is battling one of his ex-wives over personal items owned by the late actor.

The Grease star, who died aged 60 last May, left a collection of his belongings at a storage facility in Los Angeles.

Now one of his ex-wives, who has not been named, has filed legal documents at Los Angeles County Superior Court claiming she rightfully owns the items and wants to access the storage facility.

But she has so far been refused entry by officials at the unit because an ex-girlfriend of Conaway's is also claiming she should be handed the storage items due to a "living trust".

A representative for the storage company tells TMZ.com they are caught "in the middle of a feud between an estranged wife and an ex-girlfriend" and they're refusing access to anyone until a court official rules on who the property belongs to.

Bosses at the storage company have also filed a lien on the actor's estate worth $3,600 (£2,250) claiming the bill for storing the goods has not been paid since last July. »

Extended Thoughts on Pete’s Dragon

5 January 2012 8:04 PM, PST | SoundOnSight | See recent SoundOnSight news »

Being original is hard. I don’t think we appreciate that as much as we should in modern popular entertainment. Being original is hard mainly because everything has been done. With very few exceptions, every type of story has been told countless times. Unless you’re Charlie Kaufman, frankly, you’re not going to be breaking any ground anytime soon. And as consumers of popular entertainment, we need to accept that and realize that it’s Ok for filmmakers to cover already trodden ground. What matters is not that you tell an original story (of course, that helps), but that you tell it well. Tell me a story well and I won’t nitpick a well-worn cliché you use. Tell me a story well and I’ll be enthralled, simply because of how you’re telling that story.

Actor Jeff Conaway, who appeared in season 2 of the flagship program, died of complications from taking prescription medications. Our Favorite & Least Favorite Celebrity Moments of 2011

2 January 2012 2:11 PM, PST | BuzzFocus.com | See recent BuzzFocus.com news »

2011 was quite an interesting year in the world of celebrity as it was really all about the good… Oprah Winfrey, the bad… Kim Kardashian, and the ugly… Charlie Sheen. In no particular order, let’s take a look back these moments as well as a few in between.

Shortly after launching her own network, Own, Oprah Winfrey ended The Oprah Winfrey Show after 25 seasons. With that came some of the most spectacular episodes of the series. The conclusion of Oprah’s show but launch of her network made for one of the most bittersweet moments of the year. Here’s to hoping Own becomes just as successful.

Not too long before the final episode of The Oprah Winfrey Show aired, The Royal Wedding took over everyone’s television screens and brought a fairy tale to life. Need I say more? Also married in 2011 were Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed, Michael Vartan, »
