‘Housewives Playbook!’ All the Times Andy Cohen Compared President Donald Trump to a Real Housewife

23 September 2017 10:50 AM, PDT | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Is Donald Trump gunning for top billing in a Real Housewives of D.C. reboot? Andy Cohen seems to think so.

The 49-year-old Watch What Happens Live host (and Real Housewives executive producer) has drawn more than a few parallels between the behavior of the sitting president and the behavior of various cast members on Bravo’s popular Real Housewives franchises — and he’s quick to point them out on Twitter.

Here’s a rundown of all the times Trump, 71, pulled from Cohen’s “Housewives Playbook.”

Showtime developing TV series from Bill Clinton and James Patterson’s novel The President is Missing

Earlier this year, former U.S. president Bill Clinton simultaneously shocked and intrigued the world with the news that he’d be co-penning a novel with best-selling author James Patterson, entitled The President is Missing, and now, the pair’s big plans for the thriller are starting to take shape.

David Nevins, president and CEO of Showtime, announced today that the network has acquired the rights to the upcoming novel and is looking to develop it into a TV series. Clinton and Patterson pitched it during a 16-meeting tour in Los Angeles and helped secure the Showtime deal with the help of the 42nd president’s longtime friend and CBS CEO, Les Moonves. Moonves’ network currently houses TV adaptations of two of Patterson’s books, Zoo and Instinct; the author inked a first-look deal with the network a few years back. Trump Blames Clinton for North Korea: ‘Rocket Man Should’ve Been Handled a Long Time Ago’

22 September 2017 5:43 PM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

If advisors were hoping Donald Trump would tone down his rhetoric about North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Un, they were likely disappointed tonight by the President’s appearance at a rally in Alabama Friday night. During his speech at a rally for Gop Senate candidate Luther Strange, Trump repeated his “Rocket Man” jab at Kim, and blamed former Democratic presidents Barack Obama and Bill Clinton for rising tensions between the U.S. and North Korea. “Rocket Man should’ve been handled a long time ago by Clinton,” Trump said, adding that “I’m not gonna mention the Republicans,” apparently letting George W. Bush off the hook. »

‘The President is Missing’: Showtime Adapting Bill Clinton & James Patterson’s Thriller Novel Into a TV Show

22 September 2017 3:30 PM, PDT | Slash Film | See recent Slash Film news »

2013 was a big year for fictional movie thrillers involving the President of the United States, with Olympus Has Fallen and White House Down both blasting into theaters within three months of each other. Those were simpler times when movies about the president didn’t pale in comparison to the hellish nightmare of the behavior of the actual […]

Hillary Clinton’s Craziest Pop Culture References in ‘What Happened’: ‘Game of Thrones,’ ‘Star Wars,’ ‘Veep,’ and More

22 September 2017 2:21 PM, PDT | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

You can tell a lot about a person by the television they watch and the books they read — even while they reveal their theories as to why they lost a Presidential election.

Clinton’s new memoir, “What Happened,” chronicling her experiences surrounding the 2016 election, is surprisingly candid on a number of levels. For example, regarding her coping mechanisms following the loss of the election, “It wasn’t all yoga and breathing: I also drank my share of chardonnay.”

But even more fascinating are the ways in which she invokes current pop culture. Some of the references feel more forced than others. Some of them are truly bonkers.

This is not a complete list of every reference made, as we omitted some of the religious, spiritual, and historical texts upon which she drew to make her points. Instead, here is all the evidence you need that the Clintons know their way around a TV remote, »
