Blink and you may have missed it, but Kevin Hart is now pretty much the biggest comedian in the world. Though he’s not yet a household name in some Middle American holdouts, at some point in the last few years the diminutive loudmouth has gone from working the stand-up circuit and impressing in side roles in Judd Apatow films to filling arenas full of people late-80s Andrew Dice Clay style with his stand-up routine and starring in films like Think Like a Man, which just made more than seven times its budget back at the box office. Right now, the world is his oyster and all he has to do is reach down and pluck out the pearls. So what’s a guy in such an enviable position got planned for his next move? If Deadline Jenkintown is to be believed, it’s obviously got to be co-starring in a Kevin James comedy. The »

Next weekend, The Bamboozle festival will return to the city that started it all: Asbury Park, NJ. The famed beach town that launched the careers of Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bon Jovi will welcome the festival, celebrating its 10th year of existence, back with open arms and a big coup-Bon Jovi will headline the three-day lineup, which includes Foo Fighters, My Chemical Romance (in place of Blink 182, who pulled off the tour due to drummer Travis Barker’s tonsil surgery), Incubus, The Gaslight Anthem, Jimmy Eat World, Brand New, Jersey Shore reality star, DJ Pauly D and comedian Andrew Dice Clay.

I love Die Hard. I’ve seen it so many times. I’ll even watch it on AMC in its miserable edited glory. It was the perfect combination of the average guy as the hero, action, story and humor. What I didn’t like about Die Hard was the endless parade of Die Hard on a….type stories that were thrust down our throats (e.g.: No Contest with Andrew Dice Clay and Shannon Tweed…Die Hard at a Beauty Contest...seriously). Well it looks like the formula is coming back with not one, but two projects; both set at the White House….shoot me now. »

Los Angeles – Anyone who is familiar with good comedy television knows the name Ron Swanson – the character portrayed by Nick Offerman on the hit show “Parks and Recreation,” who notably has the manliest mustache seen on television.
Offerman is by far one of the show’s highlights and he shares quite a few similarities with his onscreen persona. For example, Swanson is a carpenter on the program and Offerman has his very own online woodshop where you can buy a handcrafted redwood table from the burly man himself.
Luckily, this weekend I got to catch Offerman’s set (dubbed – “Nick Offerman: American Ham”) at the very wonderful Largo, which only seats 280 people and has a strict no cell phones policy. Offerman inexplicably walked onstage shirtless – exposing his obviously hairy chest – and clothed himself with a T-shirt, beanie and hoodie as he started the show. The actor »

Every two weeks I’m going to be posting a cult movie of the week. This could be a truly cult film (like this one), a forgotten film or a foreign film that I’d like to share.
The first cult movie of the week honors goes to The Adventures of Ford Fairlane, starring Andrew Dice Clay. I almost went with Brain Smasher… A Love Story, but Ford Fairlane is so far out of the mainstream it deserved the initial nod.
Story revolves around Ford “Mr. Rock n’ Roll Detective” Fairlane. He is experiencing problems, and it’s not with the opposite sex. One of them is that all the rock stars pay him with drum sticks, koala bears, food processors and bicycle shorts. Things really get hectic when he is hired to find a girl named Zuzu Petals, who turns up dead.

Question: Will Booth and Brennan get married on Bones? —Iza
Ausiello: Yes, but not anytime soon. “I can’t see a wedding happening this season,” says executive producer Stephen Nathan. “At some point I think there has to be [one]. But there are going to be so many problems they’ll have to deal with before that, like how their work is affected by this baby — and it’s going to be affected a lot. »
