If the weather doesn’t hold up for you, Memorial Day weekend won’t be spent grilling on the beach. But here’s the good news: There are plenty of TV marathons and specials to be found — plus, you’re being patriotic, in a way, by being an all-American couch potato. In addition to our What to Watch column (posting Sunday, and going weekly for the summer), here are some programs to keep on your radar.

Friday, May 25

3 pm – 11 pm Law & Order: Svu (USA Network) | If there’s one thing you can always count on, it’s for Svu to be marathoning somewhere. »

Dean Cain Talks B---- In Apt 23 Feud With James Van Der Beek

24 May 2012 3:44 PM, PDT | Access Hollywood | See recent Access Hollywood news »

Dean Cain joined James Van Der Beek on the first season finale of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apt 23" on Wednesday night, with the pair playing exaggerated, somewhat washed up, ego-driven versions of themselves who will face off on a fictional version of "Dancing with the Stars."

While the ABC sitcom uses both Dean and James' former TV fame as fodder for comedy gold, Dean said the self-deprecating humor is what makes the show one to watch.

"What's fun about that show, what I love about that show - and James is so funny on it - ...

'Don't Trust The B' Finale: Van Der Beek 'DWTS' Dressing Room Drama

24 May 2012 12:01 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

With the season finale of "Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23" (Wed., 9:30 p.m. Et on ABC) just getting to the point where James Van Der Beek gets his dressing room for "Dancing With the Stars," here's hoping that the second season doesn't jump ahead in time. The Beek's "DWTS" adventures have been as much fun as the rest of the show.

This week, he got a nemesis on the show in the form of Dean Cain, with a hint of possible future friction with Fred Savage. All three are contestants on a fictional version of the dance show, though that's a cast that would probably get a lot of viewers excited about the real deal.

The drama came when Van Der Beek realized that Cain's dressing room was six inches bigger than his, and it didn't end until he'd stolen Savage's dressing room entirely.

Where does 'Don't Trust the B--- in Apt. 23' go from here?

23 May 2012 2:14 PM, PDT | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

The morning after ABC first aired  Don’t Trust the B– in Apt. 23, I wrote a post that questioned whether Chloe — that titular B, played by Krysten Ritter — was just too mean to be sustainable. “Eventually, watching Chloe scam someone or ruin a life for the zillionth time will feel both tiresome and unpleasant,” I wrote, suggesting that the show’s writers try making her more three-dimensional.

On the eve of Apt. 23′s first-season finale, I’ve decided that I spoke too soon. In every episode since the pilot, Chloe’s schemes have grown more preposterous — and, as she’s »

The Choice – New Promo Spot And Full Celebrity List

The Choice: Cat Deeley hosts The Choice, the new celebrity dating game show with a twist premiering Thursday, June 7 (9:00-10:00 Pm Et/Pt) on Fox. 2012 Fox Broadcasting Co. Cr: Mathieu Young/Fox

Under a new rhyming scheme spin-off model for new shows, you’ll soon be able to watch The Choice, and see celebrities submit themselves to a blind date experiment. It’s The Voice‘s “no see” format, but now eligible celebrities are choosing potential romantic partners.

It’s bound to be crazy, and some of the “celebrities” only have loose ties to the claim, but it certainly looks to be the sort of madness people will check out.

Is this show too much? Let me know your thoughts. This falls into a category of reality that I find hard to predict, and I’d love to know if people are looking forward to it.
