In a crazy turn of events, Keanu Reeves is 50 years old. To honor the actor's five-decades-old milestone, we're celebrating one of his best movies, "Point Break," and explain why it fits its year of release, 1991, so perfectly.
Prior to the early '90s classic, Reeves hadn't really ventured into action movies and was best known for playing a pretty boy, high school stoner in "Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure" (1989). "Point Break" would change all that. Directed by Kathryn Bigelow ("The Hurt Locker"), the movie paired Reeves with an established star and co-heartthrob, Patrick Swayze, fresh off hits like "Road House" (1989) and "Ghost" (1990). Together, they would create a surfing bromance too good to be true.
Set against the backdrop of the coastal Los Angeles area, "Point Break" captured the surfing culture of the region, while simultaneously depicting the criminal underbelly of the city. Los Angeles had long been the bank robbery capital of the world, »

It’s been quite a long time since Gary Busey was taken seriously as an actor of considerable talent, but back in 1978 he almost took home an Oscar for his spectacular portrayal of Buddy Holly in director Steve Rash’s controversial bio-pic, The Buddy Holly Story. Playing a 19 year old kid from Texas on the cusp of making rock and roll history at the age of 33, Busey lost a considerable amount of weight to embody the 146 pound front man, and more impressively, performed all of the songs sprinkled throughout the film live with a fictionalized version of Holly’s backing band, The Crickets. Though Busey’s portrayal was lauded, the film itself was harshly criticized not only for this fabricated characterization which reduced his real life three piece band, featuring Niki Sullivan, Joe B. Mauldin and J.I. Allison, to a fictional drum and bass duo in Jesse Charles (Don Stroud »

The B*Witched star ended up in tears after talking to Gary Busey about how the experience has changed how they will appreciate their loved ones.
"I already know how I'll feel when I leave, in terms of accepting life," Gary said. "[Before, I was] a goof, sitting on the couch watching TV."
As he explained that he wants to see his wife and children, Edele said she felt the same way and was looking forward to spending "quality time" with her family.
She began to cry as Gary suggested that tearing up is part of "letting go of those behaviour patterns".
"It's evolution of yourself," he added.

So much for it not being down to the player.
If Gus Poyet was to be believed a couple of weeks ago, the hold-up in the proposed move for Fabio Borini was nothing to do with the player himself. The manager didn’t expand on that, but you have to suspect it wasn’t because Liverpool didn’t want to sell to a divisional rival…
It must come as something of a surprise then that Borini is now on his way to talk to Qpr over a proposed move, after apparently ignoring Sunderland’s attempts to sign him. Rangers have been in the market for a striker since the departure of Loic Remy, and the Italian would represent a good, experienced option.
According to SkySports’ Gary Cotterill, a fee has been agreed between Queens Park Rangers and Liverpool for his services.

"He's boring," she said, explaining that he's only interesting when he's had a drink. "He doesn't have a personality."
"Change the record, it gets really boring," she said. "[Lauren] doesn't have confidence and constantly needs me to reassure her... after a while it gets boring.
"She's a gorgeous girl, she's beautiful and very well-spoken, but personality-wise, I don't have anything in common with her."
Frenchy continued to cause controversy with her housemates later in the day, as she chose to sunbathe topless in the garden.

The pair's tempestuous relationship flared up again earlier today when James accused Gary of being "very, very rude" for interrupting a conversation.
The former Strictly Come Dancing professional said he did not want to have to tell Gary off "like you're a child", adding that he feels like a "babysitter sometimes". Gary defended his attempt to interject in the conversation, explaining that he had heard his name mentioned. He told James that his "intention was not to be rude".
The pair reconnected later in the afternoon, when James explained that he thinks the actor is "brilliant", but acknowledged that he can become "angry" at times due to how Gary can speak.
"I like you, apart from when you're rude," the dancer said. "I think you're brilliant. I find you funny, intelligent, fascinating, but when you're rude to me, »
Frenchy, Stephanie and Kellie were all up for eviction alongside the TV and Broadway star, but the 59-year-old playwright received the fewest public votes.
Speaking to Emma Willis after his exit, the Tennessee native said that he was surprised to have left.
"I was told less than seven days ago that I was the most entertaining," he exclaimed.
"I was screaming and cursing and beating down the door... I guess that's entertainment!"
When Willis asked why his personality had transformed and his more volatile moods had subsided, Leslie quipped:
"I was afraid that at any moment, my mother would come down and say, 'I didn't raise him like that!'"
"No, but one time I was called out for eating too much," he continued, "and until James called me out on it, it hadn't crossed my mind. »

Despite claiming that he would not let being unpopular with the crowd bother him, he admitted that the booing had got to him. He speculated with fellow housemates that fans may dislike him because he winds people up, or because he spends a lot of his time with female housemates.
However, Leslie Jordan argued that James had also been mean to him, which may have also made him unpopular with viewers.
James went on to admit that he would be "f**ked off" if it was "the other thing" that had led to the booing. But when pressed by Gary Busey, James said that he could not discuss what he hinted at, »
