Actress Mindy Cohn is revealing her secret five-year battle with breast cancer.

The 51-year-old The Facts of Life star shares that she was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2012, in a new interview with People. Prior to the diagnosis, the actress -- best known for playing Natalie Green on the beloved '80s show -- recalls that she had to call her good friend, actress Helen Hunt, because she suddenly felt extremely tired.

“I just couldn’t go anymore," Cohn explains. "This was before Uber was really a thing, so I texted my friend Helen Hunt and said, ‘Something’s wrong with me. I need help.’”

Cohn called the diagnosis devastating, and shared that the cancer would spread and continue to come back over the course of five years.

Bill Pullman Doubles His Treasure at the Woodstock Film Festival

17 October 2017 5:00 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

During the Woodstock Film Festival’s Maverick Awards ceremony on Saturday night (Oct. 14), actor Bill Pullman graciously received an honorary award for Excellence In Acting and, as if on cue, allowed the trophy to fall to the floor and break in half. Holding up the pieces of his broken prize, Pullman quipped, “Oh my God, I’ve got two awards tonight!”

Maverick gestures aside, Pullman was also in Woodstock for the featured film “The Ballad of Lefty Brown,” an old-fashioned western drama, in which he stars. It screened at the Woodstock Playhouse for an enthusiastic crowd.

For the 2017 edition of the self-declared “fiercely independent” fest, currently in its 18th year and held Oct. 10 through 15, the programming was eco-friendly, class-conscious, gender-aware and racially sensitive — a fitting environment for the handful of host towns surrounding the area.

The Best Narrative Feature award went to the surreal comedy “Infinity Baby,” which was directed by Bob Byington and stars Kieran Culkin, [link »

Biff Review: ‘Crash Pad’ Blatantly Reinforces Stereotypes of Masculinity

Morgan (Christina Applegate) is drowning in a marriage on the rocks. Both her career and her husband’s (Thomas Haden Church’s Grady) are booming — the time allotted to spend together often earmarked for something else. So they’ve drifted apart over the last fifteen years. Their sex life is non-existent and he’s away on business trips that “run long” more often than not. Why wouldn’t she assume he was therefore cheating on her? No reason besides a level of trust that appears non-existent in a day and age where the worst is usually believed and proven true. And since he’s always been a “man’s man” brute with toxic edges she’s sought to smooth out, why not embark on some cheating herself with the embodiment of everything he isn’t?
