At 16 she was singled out by photographer David Bailey to be the face of the 80s.

Posed nude for Playboy in an attempt to shake off her "English Rose" typecast and make her more appealing to the Hollywood casting directors.

Her production company is Barnaby Pictures.

Her looks and acting style were once infamously described by Victor Lewis-Smith, TV critic of the (London) "Evening Standard", as "like scoffing a whole packet of icing sugar: very sweet but rather nauseating after a while".

Personal Quotes

In Hollywood, being a producer is rather like being a lesbian. Everybody says they're doing it, when only a select few actually qualify.

Talking about her part in Hotel! (2001) (TV), in which she plays Amanda Brown, a stunningly attractive but maniacal spy in a short skirt and with a bad European accent, she said "I love doing this kind of insane comedy, but to do it you have to take a flying leap and say goodbye to self-dignity".

I like the idea of strong women being in control in the nitty gritty of sexual situations.
