Episode 26: “Variations On Relations”

Written by Mark Frost & Harley Peyton, Directed by Jonathan Sanger

Airdate April 11th, 1991

The episode opens with Coop, Truman, Andy and Hawk returning to Owl Cave for further exploration of the petroglyph they discovered last episode, but when they get there they find someone’s already done the work for them. Part of the wall has crumbled away, revealing an even larger, more detailed petroglyph than they originally found. Hawk notices a boot print in the dirt and says it matches the one he found outside the power station the night it exploded, which means the person who was here and who unearthed this larger petroglyph was Earle. The image itself looks like a map with mountains that have swirling vortices inside them »

Riverdale To Experience “A Touch Of Evil” In Second Episode

16 January 2017 9:39 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Aside from a prequel comic and Free Comic Book Day offering, those eagerly anticipating Riverdale have much to look forward to. Up until recently, not much information regarding the series has been divulged beyond the pilot episode, but now, that’s thankfully changed.

In the synopsis for “Chapter Two: A Touch of Evil,” two things quickly become apparent: Archie Andrews’ life is extremely complicated and the murder mystery gripping the quaint town does indeed seem to serve as the backdrop for the inaugural season. Although we expect interesting developments each week, our better judgment says the unraveling of this enigma will be a marathon, not a sprint.

Speaking of the official description, you can check it out below:

As new details of Jason’s death begin to emerge, Archie (Kj Apa) pleads with Miss Grundy (guest star Sarah Habel) to come forward with what they heard at Sweetwater River. »

Moody New Riverdale Character Photos Released

10 January 2017 11:47 AM, PST | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

With trailers dropping left and right, as well as spinoff chatter already occurring, Riverdale is easily one of the most anticipated new shows to premiere at the midseason mark. And considering that Archie Comics are currently enjoying a creative renaissance, it couldn’t have come at a more opportune time.

The latest round of promotional material comes in the form of six new character photos featuring the likes of Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Cheryl Blossom, Jughead Jones, and Josie McCoy. Capturing the moody and dramatic tone of the series, the images somehow manage to be dark and vibrant at the same time, so kudos go to The CW and their photographers for pulling off such a feat.

‘Twin Peaks’: David Lynch Hints What Laura Palmer Has to Do With the Showtime Revival

9 January 2017 7:43 PM, PST | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

In a surprise move worthy of David Lynch, the director himself magically appeared at the Television Critics Association press tour on Monday despite not having been scheduled to attend the “Twin Peaks” panel.

Lynch did his best to answer reporters’ questions without revealing specific details. While this wasn’t quite as challenging as the backwards-speak in the famed Red Room, it was definitely just as bizarre and fun.

The most that Lynch was able to reveal about the new series was that there was definitely a connection to the prequel-sequel film, “Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me” that traced the final week in the life of Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee), the teen whose original murder was the inciting event that brought Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) to the town of Twin Peaks. »

‘Twin Peaks’: David Lynch Reveals a Few Details About the Revival

9 January 2017 6:15 PM, PST | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

David Lynch took to the TCA stage Monday to discuss the “Twin Peaks” revival, and it was somehow appropriate that many of his answers were short and enigmatic. Affable as always — he and the cast used the word “beautiful” frequently — Lynch and his “Twin Peaks” actors offered little in the way of specificity on the 18 hours that will arrive on Showtime May 21.

Asked if the new “Twin Peaks” would consist of new storylines versus continuations of old ones, Lynch replied, “I’m really not at liberty to talk about that.”

Is the new version of the show the “pure heroin” version of his original vision for “Twin Peaks,” as Showtime president David Nevins said earlier in the day? “I hear heroin is a very popular drug,” Lynch parried.

Why cast Laura Dern? “I love Laura Dern.”

The only real nugget dropped about the new season is that “the story of Laura Palmer’s last seven days is »

David Lynch talks 'Twin Peaks' at TCA event

9 January 2017 4:20 AM, PST | ScreenDaily | See recent ScreenDaily news »

The elusive filmmaker and artist attended the Showtime session at the annual Television Critics Association press tour on Monday and spoke cryptically about his reboot of the beloved series.

Lynch revealed that Twin Peaks co-creator Mark Frost reached out to him “many years ago” and suggested a return to the creepy world they created in Washington state for ABC back in the 1990s.

“We met at Musso & Frank and talked, that’s what got us going again for this one.”

The pair worked on the script via Skype. Showtime president David Nevins said FBI Agent Dale Cooper’s return to the setting of the original series forms the backbone of the reboot.

Besides Kyle MacLachlan, returning original cast include Mädchen Amick in the role of Shelly Johnson and Kimmy Robertson as sheriff’s office receptionist Lucy Moran.

Lara Flynn Boyle and Joan Chen will not return to the 18-episode package.

Riverdale Review: Archie Gets a Dark, Moody Update… and Surprise, It Works!

5 January 2017 6:00 AM, PST | TVLine.com | See recent TVLine.com news »

There are about a million ways that The CW’s Riverdale — a slick new reboot of the classic Archie comics — could’ve gone horribly wrong. (See: NBC’s Emerald City.) And yet the new year is full of surprises, because Riverdale (premiering Thursday, Jan. 26 at 9/8c) actually turns out to be an artfully crafted, instantly engaging teen soap with loads of potential.

It’s an unexpected revival, to be sure, because the original comic-book hi-jinks of 1950s teens Archie, Betty, Veronica and Jughead are about as dated as sock hops and chocolate malts. But the Archie comics have been given »
