7 hours ago | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

Taron Egerton interview: The Kingsman and future Robin Hood star on making important career choices, dancing, love of musicals, accents in Eddie The Eagle, and Johnny the gorilla in ‘Sing’.

Earlier this morning we posted our Garth Jennings interview for his impressive debut animation Sing, a film that we adore, and now we can share this Taron Egerton interview which we conducted for the same film.

In Sing, Egerton voices the character of Johnny the mountain gorilla, a music love who competes in a singing contest. The film also stars the likes of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson and John C. Reilly, and really is one of the best films opening at the cinema in the UK this week.

Latino Digital Media Company Co-Founded By Sofia Vergara Lands Seven-Digit Funding Round

Another digital media company is looking to serve the exploding population of Latino online video viewers. This one is called Raze, and it is co-founded by actress Sofia Vergara, her business partner Luis Balaguer, and former Fox Television Studios president Emiliano Calemzuk. That trio is now building up the Raze platform after receiving an investment a Variety report describes as a “mid seven figure” deal.

Raze will feature news, lifestyle, and beauty content that will be aimed at Hispanic viewers in the U.S. Planned partners include former soccer star Diego Maradona and digital lit platform Wattpad.

With Raze, Vergara, best known for her role on Modern Family, joins the ranks of Hollywood entertainers who have backed digital video platforms. Other actresses who fall into that category include Elizabeth Banks and Reese Witherspoon.

Here, Vergara is joining forces with Calemzuk, an executive who was previously rumored as a candidate for Machinima's top job. »

Aubrey Plaza debuted a very different look at the premiere of her new film The Little Hours on Wednesday night, ditching her usual chestnut brown, straight, blunt bob in favor of something a little lighter. The actress appears to have dyed her hair a light shade of auburn, »

The Leftovers' Carrie Coon Teases Finale: 'They Chose the Right Ending'

Another bad break awaits The Leftovers‘ long-suffering Nora Durst.

HBO on Wednesday dropped a fresh batch of photos from the drama’s upcoming third and final season, and one of them shows Carrie Coon‘s heroine sporting an arm cast while canoodling in bed with Justin Theroux’s Kevin. Who broke my beloved Nora’s wrist?! We’ll have to wait until the drama returns in April to get an answer, but feel free to speculate in the comments (after you’ve checked out the four other, equally confounding new images via the gallery to the right).

‘Six’ Review: History Channel Navy Seal Series Wastes Walton Goggins in Formulaic War Story

18 January 2017 6:00 AM, PST | Indiewire Television | See recent Indiewire Television news »

During the third episode of “Six,” History’s new original series about a fictionalized group of Navy SEALs that run missions “inspired by” real operations, a captured ex-seal played by Walton Goggins sits in captivity with a Nigerian teacher and her students. He tries to bond with the teacher — in order to recruit her for an escape plan — and comfort her after she was sexually assaulted by a guard. But she’s suspicious of the American military, and tells him how ashamed her family will be of her if she ever sees them again.

“You were raped,” says Richard “Rip” Taggert (Goggins).

“Father will say I should’ve married, to be under a man’s protection,” she replies. “You don’t understand.”

“No, I don’t understand,” Rip says. “I will never understand that.”

The problem here doesn’t lie in the fact that “Six” fails to understand similar ideas of cultural disparity, »

Reese Witherspoon opens door for Legally Blonde 3

17 January 2017 10:44 PM, PST | Den of Geek | See recent Den of Geek news »

Simon Brew Jan 18, 2017

Legally Blonde 3 will happen, it seems, as long as Reese Witherspoon finds the story she likes...

Appreciating that, following Legally Blonde 2, that there was a not very good straight to DVD spin-off, there hadn’t really been talk of a proper Legally Blonde 3, at least not for a long time. However, in a new interview, Reese Witherspoon appears to have opened the door for a new movie, telling E Online that the time is right for a new film in the series.

“We’ve thought about it”, Witherspoon admitted, but that’s about as far as the project has gone thus far. “I need somebody really clever to come up with a great idea and we’ll do it”.

She added that “I do think that it’s a good time to do it. I think women need that kind of positivity right now”.

You're Going to 'Heart' Zoe Kravitz's New 'Do

17 January 2017 7:40 PM, PST | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

We can't get enough of Zoe Kravitz's quirky new 'do.

The 28-year-old singer-actress -- known for her It Girl sensibilities and arsty style -- has been rocking blonde braids and a shaved undercut for a while now, but on Monday, she upped her hair game by adding a blue heart in the back.

The powdery hue perfectly matched the periwinkle suede jacket she was rocking that night, so the look may be very temporary. Nonetheless, we're still sending all the blue heart emojis her way, because we're pretty much obsessed with the pretty add-on.

Kravitz has long been a fashion darling, and her star is only about to burn brighter. Not only is she starring in the highly anticipated HBO miniseries Big Little Lies, premiering Feb. 19, she's also one of Elle magazine's February cover girls along with her co-stars, Reese Witherspoon, [link »
