Watch This: 44 Inch Chest Official Trailer with Ray Winstone

3 December 2009 3:37 AM, PST | firstshowing.net | See recent FirstShowing.net news »

From the writers of Sexy Beast. That's the tagline for the film, which should help it do well in the UK. 44 Inch Chest stars a brilliant cast of British actors including Ray Winstone, Ian McShane, John Hurt, Tom Wilkinson, and Joanne Whalley. It's a conman comedy about British mobster who loses his wife to another man and kidnaps the other man. I can't tell from the trailer, but apparently the whole thing starts to go wrong in the second half. What I love about this is that it's kind of a British Ocean's 11 hybrid, but about a relationship not actually stealing money. I'm looking forward to seeing it - looks fun! Check out the trailer. Last week we showed you this new poster for Ray Winstone’s latest movie, ‘44 Inch Chest’. Today, Momentum Pictures have given us the brand new trailer for the movie which is written by the same guys who did Sexy Beast,. Louis Mellis and David Scinto. You can tell straight away that the writing is going to be excellent from the opening 30 seconds of the trailer.

44 Inch Chest is directed by Malcolm Venville and has an amazing British cast which as well as Winstone includes Joanne Whalley, John Hurt, Ian McShane, Stephen Dillane and Melvil Poupaud. It’s scheduled for release 15th January and we’ll hopefully bring you a review early in the new year. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.

Four Intriguing Promos for Malcolm Venville’s 44 Inch Chest

30 November 2009 8:54 AM, PST | Beyond Hollywood | See recent Beyond Hollywood news »

In order to promote director Malcolm Venville’s feature-length debut “44 Inch Chest,” a series of so-called “character profiles” have been released, all of which offer a fairly interesting glimpse into the movie’s proverbial rogues’ gallery. The film, written by “Sexy Beast” scribes Louis Mellis and David Scinto, is packed with quality actors, namely John Hurt, Ian McShane, Ray Winstone, Tom Wilkinson, Joanne Whalley, and Dave Legeno, some of whom you may recall from the writing duo’s previous collaboration. The picture certainly sounds interesting, and I’m quite anxious to see a proper trailer. In the meantime, I suppose the follow clips will have to suffice. Here’s a proper synopsis for you to consume: A jealous husband and his friends plot the kidnapping of his wife’s lover with the intention of restoring his wounded ego. “44 Inch Chest” is scheduled to shanghai British movie-goers on January 22nd, 2010. The aforementioned clips lie below. »

New Poster for 44 Inch Chest

27 November 2009 10:37 AM, PST | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

Here’s a new poster (click to enlarge) for Ray Winstone’s latest movie, 44 Inch Chest. This movie reunites Winstone with Ian McShane for the first time since Sexy Beast in 2000 which shocked me! I can’t believe that was nearly 10 years ago! 44 Inch Chest also stars Stephen Dillane, John Hurt, Joanne Whalley and Tom Wilkinson.

The poster debuted on Empire yesterday and here’s their plotline:

Empire: Winstone plays Colin Diamond, a cuckolded husband who hatches a plot with his mates to get revenge on his wife’s lover. As we all know, revenge is a dish best served cold, which might go some way to explaining why everyone on this poster looks like they’ve been shoved in a freezer for four hours.

44 Inch Chest is directed by Malcolm Venville and is out 22nd January. »

Exclusive: New 44 Inch Chest Poster

25 November 2009 8:18 AM, PST | EmpireOnline | See recent EmpireOnline news »

If there were a prize for most mis-leading title of the decade, 44 Inch Chest would be up there dancing a tango with Cinderella Man for first place.Far from being a Judd Apatow comedy or a follow-up to Boogie Nights, this is the latest venture from the writers behind uber-Brit gangster drama Sexy Beast, reuniting that film’s lead Ray Winstone and Ian McShane while adding in liberal splashes of prime British talent in the form of Stephen Dillane, John Hurt, Joanne Whalley and Tom Wilkinson.Winstone plays Colin Diamond, a cuckolded husband who hatches a plot with his mates to get revenge on his wife’s lover.
