In a new interview, Jackie Chan spoke about joining the cast of "The Expendables 4" and possibly returning for a fourth "Rush Hour" installment. Regarding "The Expendables" franchise, the actor said: "This morning the office called - Sly [Stallone] wants me for 'Expendables 4.' I said, 'Okay.' Because they already asked me to be in two and three, but I refused. Well, I didn't refuse, but I said, 'Sly, can't we just do you and me? Not just a bunch of people and me only coming out for five minutes?' Because then the audience is, 'Oh!' And then I'm gone." And even though there's still an effort to re-team Chan and Chris Tucker for "Rush Hour 4," Chan isn't that eager to return, but will do it if the script is right. "Lately they want to make 'Rush Hour 4.' I said 'No, show me the script first. I »
Over the past few years, we’ve heard on several occasions that martial arts superstar Jackie Chan was set to join the roster of action stars in The Expendables, only for him to be absent when the latest instalment rolled around. It happened with The Expendables 2, it happened with The Expendables 3, and we’ll no doubt hear the same thing if and when The Expendables 4 arrives.
In fact, speaking to Den of Geek, Chan has confirmed that he’s already been approached by Sylvester Stallone for a part in the planned fourth movie, and it sounds like he’ll be turning it down once more, unless Stallone can come up with a big enough role for the Hong Kong action legend:
“This morning I did hear – the office called – Sly [Stallone] wants me for Expendables 4. I said, ‘Okay.’ Because they already asked me to be in two and three, »

It looks like New Line Cinema is planning to develop Rush Hour 4. In an interview with IGN, Jackie Chan admitted that the studio wants to make another film in the franchise, but they don't have a script and until there is one, he's not interested. Here's his exact quote:
“Lately they want to make Rush Hour 4. I said ‘No, show me the script first. I don’t need another Rush Hour 4. You need Rush Hour 4. Show me the script.’ I don’t want to do a rubbish script just because they want to make the movie.”
Talk of a fourth Rush Hour movie started seven years ago, but thankfully nothing ever materialized from it. The last thing we reported on it was back in 2012 when producer Arthur Sarkissian, said that he was working with Chan and Chris Tucker on it. Here's what he had to say »

At the beginning of the year who would have thought that two Scarlett Johansson movies, released mere months apart, would invite such perfectly legitimate comparisons to 2001: A Space Odyssey? The more surprising detail of that little tidbit is just how radically different those two movies are. One, Jonathan Glazer’s nine-plus-years-in-the-making Under the Skin—a shocking yet downbeat tale of Johansson as an alien predator stalking human males throughout Scotland—was a revelatory cinematic experience which commented on the delicate distinctions of humankind. The other is Luc Besson’s batshit insane, Lucy.
The cinematic quality between the two are complete polar opposites, and yet both feature Johansson in a near-robotic role with similar thesis statements about life. There’s something for everybody with these two films—the high brow and the low, and a little bit of everything in between—but I’ll give you one guess as to »

LeBron James announced on Tuesday that he is going to explore free agency and exercise his early termination option, despite having two years and $42.7 million left on his contract with the Miami Heat. While this far from means that he's definitely breaking up the big three and leaving Pat Riley's empire, that hasn't stopped the social media world from rampantly speculating about where King James will decide to go next. The seemingly indestructible Jackie Chan has had a long and intermittent association with Western cinema. Hollywood studios appear to prefer him teamed up with a foil, be it Chris Tucker in Rush Hour or Owen Wilson in Shanghai Noon. When Chan does get his own crack of the whip in English language projects it’s for underwhelming fare like The Spy Next Door. Chan famously made three Rush Hour films before admitting he didn’t really get the joke, which hasn’t stopped him considering a return to the franchise.
The last big movie of this sort he was part of was The Karate Kid reboot and even that saw him share the screen with the expanding Will Smith family dynasty. But his latest role, announced at Cannes, will see him out on his own and dishing out his brand of expertly-choreographed mayhem to a bunch of no good terrorists »

Jessie J did more than just lend her powerhouse vocals at the Delete Bone Cancer Gala in New York on Wednesday night. While taking the stage to perform for a good cause, the English singer decided to share something very personal with the audience. "I had a stroke when I was 18," Jessie reportedly announced, and continued to tell the star-studded crowd at Cipriani Wall Street that she is so thankful she was able to recover from her stroke. "I appreciate every day that I am able to live my dream." The 26-year-old star, whom emcee Chris Tucker called "the new queen of British Soul," was diagnosed with Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome as a child (which can cause an irregular heartbeat) and »
When "Price Tag" singer Jessie J stepped onstage at the Delete Bone Cancer Gala in New York on Wednesday night, few in the audience expected her expected her to reveal that she had survived a stroke. The Grammy-nominated singer, whom emcee Chris Tucker called "the new queen of British Soul," told the star-studded crowd at Cipriani Wall Street that she wrote her song "Who You Are" when she was 18, after she "had just had a minor stroke. Gareth Evans knows fights. That is abundantly clear to anyone who has seen his films, including martial arts classics The Raid and The Raid 2: Berandal, which is currently in theaters. /Film had Evans sit down and talk about his five favorite action scenes ever, and edited it with clips from the actual movies. The result is a quite interesting 14 minutes of violence. Especially for those who only know Jackie Chan from wrongfully touching Chris Tucker's radio. »

Jason Derulo's "Talk Dirty" single has gotten a whole mess of celebrities dancing on its way to selling 2 million downloads, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Derulo has been teasing a "Celebrities Talkin' Dirty" lip-synch extravaganza for over a month, and Wednesday, the viral clip finally hit YouTube. Earlier this week, Chris Tucker braved the latest polar vortex to be honored at Black History Month in Toronto, presented by the Canadian Film Centre and Poor Boy’s Game director Clément Virgo. The 41-year-old co-star (with Jackie Chan) of the hugely popular Rush Hour franchise was revered as an elder statesman by the mostly young, black audience of filmmakers, actors and fans. Though known as a rapid-fire comic on screen, Tucker this evening was alternately funny (raising the roof by dancing like Michael Jackson) and thoughtful as he reflected on his his two decades in a Hollywood where non-whites have […] »

So, Ice Cube plays a cop. Not the most original thing you’ll have ever heard and thats even before you realise he’s just an angry Ice Cube. Lets be honest, Cube plays angry incredibly naturally and up against Kevin Hart, it works well. Ride Along sees a security guard (Kevin Hart) apply to the Police Academy (not that one…) and finds himself on a 24-hour patrol with James (Cube) to prove that he is worthy of marrying Angela, James’ sister. Yes, as predictable as you would imagine. Actually make that more predictable than you could ever imagine. However, its not all bad here. Kevin Hart has got some serious heat (as they’d say in Hollywood) at the moment and this showcases his talents. For those not so familiar with Hart, think Chris Rock intellect mixed with some Chris Tucker style vocals. In other words, he is incredibly watchable and likeable. »

When you wake up tomorrow morning, the day after Valentine’s Day, will you be talking About Last Night?
It’s 1980s flashback at the cinema this weekend, with RoboCop, Endless Love, and About Last Night getting 21st-century updates. The latter is perhaps the most promising since it’s an ideal date movie on a sweetheart holiday, there’s nostalgic fondness for the 1986 version with Rob Lowe and Demi Moore, and it features the popular hysterics of Kevin Hart, whose recent film, Ride Along, just surpassed $100 million at the box office. “When About Last Night is funny, which is every so often, »

Our series of lists devoted to underappreciated films brings us to the year 2007, and another 25 overlooked gems...
For some reason, the number three was a common factor in several blockbuster movies of 2007. The third film in the Pirates Of The Caribbean series (At World's End) dominated the box office, Spider-Man 3 marked Sam Raimi's last entry as director in the series, while Mike Myers went for a hat trick of hits with Shrek The Third.
I Am Legend was the third and most financially successful attempt to bring Richard Matheson's classic novel to the big screen, Rush Hour 3 marked Jackie Chan's last action pairing with Chris Tucker, while Zack Snyder's musky sword-swinger 300 was notable for having the number three in the title.
Iffy attempts at numerology aside, 2007 was also a superb for year for movies in general - particularly underappreciated ones, »
Before the movie opened, in late 2012, director Quentin Tarantino revealed that he'd met with 6 actors for the title part in Django Unchained (after Will Smith reportedly passed on it) that would eventually go to Jamie Foxx: in addition to Foxx, Idris Elba, Chris Tucker, Terrence Howard, Michael K. Grudge Match, 2013.
Directed by Peter Segal.
A pair of aging boxing rivals are coaxed out of retirement to fight one final bout -- 30 years after their last match.
There are plenty of must see movies coming out this year. To pick one out as the must see movie of this year would be tough. Of course Grudge Match would surely rank up high on the must see list… surely… no? Okay, maybe not but for those who were fans of either Rocky or Raging Bull, or both, this will be viewed (somewhat out of pure curiosity) as a film that needs to be watched. In this age of sequels, remakes and gimmicky films, Grudge Match in many regards manages to tick all three boxes. It’s almost an unofficial »

With the announcement that "American Hustle" auteur David O. Russell is working with "Erin Brockovich" writer Susannah Grant on a new TV series, it seems like the perfect time for his recurring cast of players to make a splash on small screen.
The untitled show, which has been ordered direct to series at ABC, is described as "an upstairs/downstairs soap centered on a private country club." That leaves a lot of possibilities for characters and casting.
That's a lot of work for Russell, who still has movie stuff to worry about. So Zap2it has done a lot of the heavy-lifting for him. Check out some of our casting choices and character ideas below.
She's on a hot streak these days and Russell needs to take advantage of that while he can. That's why Lawrence should play twins in the show. The caveat being one is a well-to-do trophy wife, »
