The first images from the production of Lincoln caused a stir because Daniel Day-Lewis looks amazing in character as Abraham Lincoln. Among a new round of set photos, we have our first look at a mustachioed Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robert Todd Lincoln, the eldest son of our 16th president. Not quite the same impact, but Gordon-Levitt looks sharp in period costue. The shoot is on location in Old Towne Petersburg in Virginia to take advantage of the period architecture. Along with the Gordon-Levitt photo, there are a couple of pictures that pull back for a broader view of the set that give you a sense of the scope and detail of Steven Spielberg's production. Sally Field, Tommy Lee Jones, James Spader, John Hawkes, and Jared Harris also star. Lincoln is expected to hit theaters in late 2012. Hit the jump for the photos. The internet went collectively nuts over a candid photo [1] of Daniel Day Lewis sporting Abraham Lincoln's beard, so I wonder what will happen now that we've got a photo of the actor in full Lincoln regalia, hat and all. The effect probably won't be as great, actually, since that first look was really the crucial one. Regardless, here's the first good image of Daniel Day-Lewis on the set of Steven Spielberg's Lincoln, which has now been shooting for a little bit. The actor looks magnificent as the 16th President of the United States, but I don't think anyone expected anything less. Click to enlarge. [2] We don't yet have a release date for Lincoln, but it should hit in late 2012. The cast also includes Sally Field, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Tommy Lee Jones, John Hawkes, Hal Holbrook, James Spader, Tim Blake Nelson, Bruce McGill, Joseph Cross, David Strathairn, Walton Goggins, Lee Pace, »

The Screen Actors Guild has announced their list of nominations for the best performances of 2011. I have to point out that I'm surprised Tom Hardy and Joel Edgarton weren't nominated for their roles in Warrior, because they were pretty damn awesome in that film. I think they deserved a nom more than Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a huge fan of DiCaprio but his performance in J. Edgar wasn't his best. Brad Pitt will end up taking home the award for Moneyball though. It was great to see Bridesmaids and The Help get a nomination for best ensemble cast. It will be interesting to see who takes home the award on this list, and how many of them will make their way to the Oscars.
Who would you like to see take home the award?

Here's our first look at Daniel Day-Lewis in full costume as Abraham Lincoln on the Richmond, Virginia set of Steven Spielberg's highly anticipated film Linclon. In a previous image we saw Day-Lewis sporting the Lincoln look while eating lunch, but he was only wearing regular clothes in that image. Watching Day-Lewis lose himself in the roles he plays is always amazing for me to see. Day-Lewis has become Lincoln! What are your thoughts on the image above?
The story is based on the book by Doris Kearns Goodwin called Team of Rivals, and it will chronicle Lincoln's efforts to abolish slavery and end the civil war. Joseph Gordon Levitt (Inception) will portray Lincoln's eldest son Robert Todd Lincoln, who was the only one of Abe's children to live past their teen years. Tommy Lee Jones (No Country For Old Men) is being tapped to play Thaddeus Stevens, »

Just a few weeks ago the Internet exploded with our first look at Daniel Day-Lewis as Abraham Lincoln in Steven Spielberg‘s upcoming biopic. The only problem was the actor was in jeans enjoying a meal after a day of shooting. But what does he look like with his full garb on? Today we finally have an answer.
Richmond-Times Dispatch snapped a photo of the actor on set, walking with Spielberg and another extra. He looks to be doing a spot-on physical impersonation of the figure and can’t wait to see actual footage, which probably won’t be for quite some time. Spielberg’s long-time producing partner Kathleen Kennedy also recently sat down with The Playlist for War Horse and talked about a few Lincoln details. She stated they aren’t focusing on the Civil War in the film and also spoke about Ddl, which you can read below, »

Last night’s episode of Kokomo and Kaiser Wilhelm Take Newt Gingrich began with Kris playing around with little Baby Mason. “Vroom vroom, you’re an airplane!” he said. At some point, Kris stopped playing with Baby Mason and started playing with Kim. (It’s an understandable mistake: To Kris Humphries, anyone under five feet tall pretty much looks the same.) He trapped Kim inside of a tiny cardboard house. He said, “Grr, I’m a tornado!” and was pushing the house back and forth. He laughed and laughed and laughed, and the whole time his lovely munchkin wife was screaming. »

In the Halloween episode of "The Office" earlier this season, Andy (Ed Helms) mentioned that he has a new girlfriend, causing a rough moment for him and Erin (Ellie Kemper).
To be honest, we weren't sure at the time if Andy was telling the truth. Turns out he was -- and we'll get to meet the woman in question (played by Eleanor Seigler) in Thursday's (Dec. 8) Christmas episode. Her name is Jessica, Andy informs us in the clip up above, and she's an assistant cross country coach at Bryn Mawr College. (Which means they're in something of a long-distance relationship; Bryn Mawr is about 115 miles from Scranton).
She also meets Erin in the clip, and it is, as you might expect, almost unspeakably awkward. Andy is no help whatsoever as he takes a thought from his talking-head segment out into the common area, but Erin mimicking her former scoliosis? Yikes. »

That dapper Armie Hammer is one good-looking chameleon.
He turned himself into twins for "The Social Network" and aged several decades for a good part of the Oscar bait-y "J. Edgar," although, admittedly, he doesn't look a bit Grimm as Prince Andrew in Tarsem Singh's "Mirror Mirror," which is currently in post-production. He's currently hiding behind the mask of "The Lone Ranger" with Johnny Depp as his Tonto, but once that wraps, he's got another surprise up his sleeve.
Hammer will go up against Eric Bana in "By Virtue Fall" sporting a look we haven't seen before -- that of an Atf agent turned felon with a taste for revenge. According to Deadline, he'll be sporting a shiny pate and lots more muscle mass to play a character that must survive in a max security lock-up. Bana will be his ex-partner who screwed him over. Sheldon Turner, who was »

After breaking out in The Social Network, Armie Hammer has opted for mostly high-profile films. We saw him in Clint Eastwood‘s J. Edgar this fall, and he will appear in Tarsem’s Mirror Mirror as well as Gore Verbinski‘s The Lone Ranger. Deadline is reporting a project that will see him head into more of the indie field.
With Eric Bana already attached, Hammer has jumped on the directorial debut of the Oscar-nominated Up In The Air co-writer Sheldon Turner. Titled By Virtue Fall, Hammer would likely be replacing the role that Colin Farrell was once attached to. The “gritty drama” will see Hammer as “an Atf agent framed on a corruption beef and sent to a maximum security federal prison. He turns into a badass to survive, and when he emerges from that hellhole, he devotes himself to getting revenge on the person who destroyed his life: »
