  • (1979) Narrated "First Strike," a 1979 documentary which was produced by the United States Air Force, and first airing on the Public Broadcasting System (PBS) stations. The documentary explored the then existential nuclear threat of attack from the Soviet Union, with follow up recommendations for several planned or proposed airborne defense projects, all of which were to be within the sphere of expertise or control of the Air Force. In other words, an Air Force propaganda tool.

Gilroy, Directed by Ulu Grosbard at the Royale Theatre on Broadway (moved to The Winthrop Ames Theatre September 3, 1964 to March 21, 1965; The Helen Hayes Theatre March 23, 1965 to December 18, 1965; The Henry Miller Theatre December 23, 1965 to February 26, 1966; and finally The Belasco Theatre March 1, 1966 to close). May 26, 1964 to May 21, 1966 (832 performances + an unknown number of previews beginning May 18, 1964). Initial cast included: Jack Albertson (as "John Cleary"), Irene Dailey (as "Nettie Cleary"), Martin Sheen (as "Timmy Cleary"). This production was filmed by Edgar Lansbury Productions Inc. and T.D.J. Productions Inc. and distributed by MGM as The Subject Was Roses (1968).
