Exclusive: ICM Partners has reason to crow a little this morning. The agency just signed Sebastian Stan. He’s the goth-looking villain in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which Marvel Studios and Disney release shortly. Stan, who had been repped by Wme, appeared in the first Captain America as Bucky Barnes, the superhero’s sidekick in the WWII storyline who has a resurgence in the Marvel Comics and obviously the movie. He’s front and center in the sequel, but until that film comes out, Stan is better known for his stage work that includes starring opposite Ellen Burstyn in the Broadway revival of Picnic, and starring with Liev Schreiber in Eric Bogosian’s Talk Radio. His other film work includes The Apparition, Gone, Black Swan, Hot Tub Time Machine and The Covenant. He also did the USA Network’s Political Animals as well as Gossip Girl on the small screen. »

For all you Woody Allen haters out there, this might help bring him back into your good graces. Maybe.
It's been three years since John Turturro's last film ("Passione"), and you probably didn't see it. He's now back in the director's chair for "Fading Gigolo," which has a stellar cast -- the movie stars Turturro, Allen, Sharon Stone, Sofia Vergara, Liev Schreiber, and Vanessa Paradis, among others.
The plot is just as it sounds: someone's becoming a gigolo. Main character Fioravante (Turturro) decides to become a professional Don Juan as a way of making money to help his cash-strapped friend, Murray (Allen). With Murray acting as his "manager," the duo quickly finds themselves caught up in the complicated world where love intersects with money.

A Perfect Man stars a shockingly fresh-faced Jeanne Tripplehorn and Liev Schreiber, but the reason for their youthful faces has nothing to do with plastic surgery, good makeup, warm lighting or soft focus (thought Joost van Gelder’s cinematography is lovely). Rather, it is because the film was shot over a decade ago, in 2000. After the budget on this indie ran dry, the film was left to gather dust on director Kees van Oostrum’s shelf until 2013, when he screened it for a group of his film students at Drexel University and was inspired by their positive reactions to find a way to finish it. Yet after watching A Perfect Man, I don’t know what the basis of those students’ raves could possibly have been, apart from getting A's in van Oostrum’s class.

"12 Years a Slave"
What's It About? Based on the memoir by Solomon Northup, "12 Years a Slave" stars Chiwetel Ejiofor as a free man who was kidnapped from his home in New York and sold into slavery. Northup ends up on a plantation run by the cruel Edwin Epps (Michael Fassbender) and his equally awful wife (Sarah Paulson), who take special delight in tormenting another young slave named Patsey (Lupita Nyong'o).
Why We're In: The movie took him Best Picture Sunday night -- see director Steve McQueen quite literally jump for joy here -- for good reason. Nyong'o took home the Best Supporting Actress award for her wrenching performance, and John Ridley won for his adapted screenplay.

Naomi Watts doesn't need a stylist—she has her two sons to look to for fashion advice. In fact, when I caught up with her at last night's Bulgari Decades of Glamour event at Soho House in West Hollywood, Watts said she doesn't truly feel glamorous until "I've got the thumbs up from everyone in the house." That would be partner Liev Schreiber and their adorable offspring, Sasha, 6, and Samuel, 5. "My sons? They're very honest," Watts said. "My youngest one particularly has been known to say, 'Ewww, Mommy, I don't like that dress!'" She certainly looked fab last night in a body-hugging black Altuzarra gown and a vintage Bulgari choker of »

Wendell Pierce, from The Wire and Treme fame, is set for a recurring role during the next season of Showtime’s Ray Donovan. We have no doubt he can hold his own against Liev Schreiber and Jon Voight, especially since he rocked during one of our Very VH1 Spreecasts! [Showtime] Details of Philip Seymour Hoffman’s will have been released, with his partner, Mimi O’Donnell, in charge of his estate. The actor also stated his wishes for his son to only live near either New York City, Chicago, or San Francisco, so that he’s culturally enriched. Casting continues on Fox’s highly anticipated Batman prequel series Gotham. After setting Ben McKenzie (Southland) in the lead role of James Gordon, the network recently filled roles for The Penguin, Gordon’s boss, and Gordon’s fiancée, and they also set Donal Logue (Sons of Anarchy) in the role of Detective Harvey Bullock. Now Fox has set another villainous role for the series, as Jada Pinkett Smith has landed the series regular role of Fish Mooney. The character is described as an imposing and hotheaded sadistic gangster boss and nightclub owner who has “the street smarts and almost extra-sensory abilities to read people like an open book.” It’s certainly nice to see a female land a major role for once, and I’m interested to see what the actress will bring to the role. Smith recently starred in the leading role of the TNT series Hawthorne for three seasons, »
