For horror fans who love to celebrate holidays in their own ways, this upcoming weekend couldn’t be any more delightful. We get a Friday the 13th the day before Valentine’s Day on Saturday the 14th. If that doesn’t sound like the perfect excuse for a genre-themed movie marathon, then I don’t know what does.
Okay, so some folks reading this might not have thirty years of horror movie-watching expertise under their belt like I do. Let me give you a rundown or schedule of events for the weekend’s festivities.
Begin Friday night with a mini-marathon of Friday the 13th movies. There are currently twelve to choose from. Most new-school slasher fans will no doubt choose the 2009 remake. If you’re looking to get educated, my personal choices are the original 1980 grassroots version, the grindhouse-influenced Friday the 13th, Part V: A New Beginning, and ridiculous Jason X »

I try to keep it off of my social networking feeds as much as possible, but I am one of those angsty people that absolutely hates Valentine’s Day. Hell, I’ve had a significant other for just about every Valentine’s Day since I was 14, and I still hate it. I’ll spare you all the feminist soap box, but know that I welcome Valentine’s Day the way most people welcome cancer. And I’ve had cancer, so that’s saying something.
I am, however, completely ride or die for Valentine’s Day horror films. Most of my horror comrades will spend sometime this week waxing poetic about My Bloody Valentine (or the surprisingly not disappointing My Bloody Valentine 3-D), and some of the more worldly of the bunch might mention something like Lover’S Lane or Horror Hospital, but I’m going to stick my neck out »

Denise Richards just treated her daughters to a very special day! The "Wild Things" actress took to Instagram on Wednesday to share a picture of her and her daughters, Sam Sheen and Lola Sheen, visiting with a Jaguar cub. "Love this baby boy! thank u @amevipix @pscathaven #conservation #education #projectsurvival," she captioned the candid snap. In the photo, the 43-year-old holds the big cat in her lap as her adorable daughters pose with giant smiles on their faces. We can't believe how big Denise and ex-hubby Charlie Sheen's daughters are now! Don't they look like the perfect mix of their famous parents? Just looking at Richards' Instagram page, it's pretty clear that the brunette beauty is a big animal lover -- her feed is filled with photos of pigs, horses, dogs and cats. We love that the "Drop Dead Gorgeous" star's instilling her same love for animals in her children! »
