King Kong Revealed in Skull Island Comic-Con Poster

21 hours ago | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Throughout the day, Warner Bros. has been unveiling posters for all of its new movies that will be put on display during their Hall H panel tomorrow morning at Comic-Con. We've already seen new posters from Wonder Woman, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them and King Arthur: Legend of the Sword, but now we have a new one-sheet from Kong: Skull Island that gives us our first glimpse at the massive King Kong. It was previously teased that this ape will be the biggest version of King Kong ever seen on the big screen, and from the looks of this poster, that doesn't seem to be an exaggeration.

The poster, which debuted on Twitter this morning, is actually quite similar to motion posters that teased this massive ape is coming. One of these motion posters features an unnamed character standing atop a huge skull while holding a green flare, »

Official Teaser Poster For Kong: Skull Island Features An Oversized Gorilla In The Mist

22 hours ago | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Kong is coming. Just yesterday, Warner Bros. premiered a spooky motion poster for Kong: Skull Island in celebration of San Diego Comic-Con and in a bid to keep that momentum burning bright, a full one-sheet has emerged from the mist that offers but a sneak peek at the king of the apes.

Primed to introduce the biggest version of King Kong ever seen on screen, director Jordan Vogt-Roberts has been drumming up excitement for his 2017 creature feature, revealing that Skull Island will be unleashed onto a timeline of its own – one that will culminate with Godzilla Vs. King Kong in 2020 – that allows the team to break away from the classic story of beauty and beast.

“We’re very explicitly not telling the beauty and the beast story. The original is a classic, the ’70s version is great for what it is, and Peter [Jackson]’s version is a great retelling of the 1933 film. »

Fans of the legendary cinematic ape known as King Kong have something to celebrate. The latest interpretation of the beast's mythos plans on making a big splash at San Diego Comic-Con, as Kong: Skull Island will be a part of Saturday's festivities.

The official twitter account for the film has released a teaser of the teaser for Kong: Skull Island:

The Kong depicted in Skull Island will face off against Godzilla in a super-sized monster mash-up in a couple of years, so we have to imagine that the beast will be noticeably larger than Peter Jackson's version from 2005. Hopefully the footage shown on Saturday will give us some idea of the scale of this new King Kong.

Top 5 Will Ferrell movies just in time for his birthdayTop 5 Will Ferrell movies just in time for his birthdayAmanda Wood7/16/2016 10:00:00 Am

There is no shortage of funny actors in Hollywood, with people making the leap from places like Saturday Night Live and Second City to the big screen on an almost daily basis.

However, there is nobody quite like Will Ferrell in the business. Going from the funniest guy on SNL to the funniest guy on the big screen isn’t always an easy transition, but Ferrell has proven that his skills are suitable for more than just sketch comedy. Don’t get us wrong, we loved him on SNL, but we’re thankful we get to experience longer-form Ferrell as well.

Today, Will Ferrell turns 49 years old. We’re not sure how he’ll be celebrating, but we hope it involves a huge party reminiscent of Old School, »

Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson in new image from Kong: Skull Island

15 July 2016 11:45 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Ahead of its Comic-Con panel next week, Entertainment Weekly has debuted a new image from Kong: Skull Island which sees Tom Hiddleston and Brie Larson among the skeletal remains of a rather large creature…

It’s previously been revealed that the the movie’s Kong will be around 100 foot tall, and director Jordan Vogt-Roberts elaborated on the scale of the creatures inhabiting Skull Island, stating that: “From the size of the skull, you can tell that things on this island are much bigger than audiences are used to with traditional Kong lore. Our Kong is by far the biggest Kong that you’ve seen on screen, and that translates to a lot of different things on the island. In terms of actual size, our Kong is by far the biggest Kong. Peter Jackson’s Kong was around 25 feet. The ‘33 Kong ranged between 25 feet and 50 feet, I want to say he »

Kong: Skull Island Image Showcases A Fallen God

15 July 2016 8:58 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

San Diego Comic-Con is, without question, the bona fide heavyweight among the industry’s list of annual conventions, so it’s only appropriate that Warner Bros. preps to unveil its monstrous epic Kong: Skull Island at Sdcc next weekend.

To stoke the embers of excitement, Entertainment Weekly has premiered an eerie new still for Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ reboot, which sees Tom Hiddleston and Room star Brie Larson on the hunt under the shadow of a colossal skull.

Ditching the romantic, beauty and the beast themes found in the original, Jordan Vogt-Roberts is gunning for a decidedly different tone with Skull Island, which is set to feature the biggest Kong ever seen on the big screen – go big or go home, then. Perhaps in preparation for the ape’s inevitable tussle with Toho’s King of Monsters in Godzilla Vs. King Kong, Warner and Vogt-Roberts have consciously created their beast to be gigantic, »
