John Travolta's son Benjamin got a last-minute case of stage fright when he attempted to join his dad on stage during his appearance on Late Show With David Letterman on Monday. After John explained to the host that Benjamin wanted to say hello, Dave told him to bring him out on stage. But when John's wife, Kelly Preston, brought the 4-year-old out for his big debut, Ben wiggled his way out of her arms and sprinted backstage. John then tried to get Ben to change his mind, but he firmly shouted, "No!" Watch the cute moment above, then look back at these cute photos of Ben from 2011. »

Recently Mlb rounded up a group of players to recite, word for word, James Earl Jones’ famous “people will come, Ray” speech from Field Of Dreams.

Wamg declares America’s national pastime, Baseball, to be the official sport of movie fans everywhere. As Brad Pitt said in Moneyball, “How can you not be romantic about Baseball?”

It all started Sunday night with the Cardinals at the Cubs with St. Louis winning 3 to 0.

To celebrate the first pitch of Opening Week, here’s our list of the best Baseball movies.

The Rookie

52 Pick-Up | Blu-ray Review

10 March 2015 8:00 AM, PDT | ioncinema | See recent ioncinema news »

Smack dab in the middle of his fourth decade as a filmmaker, auteur John Frankenheimer would release what would stand as one of his last notable titles with 52 Pick-Up in 1986. The 80s were not really kind to the veteran director, having knocked out one of his silliest titles in 1979 with the environmental horror film Prophecy prior to helming some other oddities, like the Scott Glenn/Toshiro Mifune film The Challenge (1982), the Michael Caine thriller The Holcraft Experiment (1985) and then Dead Bang (1989) with Don Johnson. But it would be his adaptation of this Elmore Leonard novel, a black mail neo noir that really stands out amongst his later works.

Harry Mitchell (Roy Scheider) is a Los Angeles entrepreneur. He’s got a great life, lots of money, a beautiful wife (Ann-Margret) about to enter into the political arena, and a sprawling home. But when three criminals led by pornographer Alan Raimy »

John Travolta's awkward Oscars reunion with Idina Menzel was rehearsed

25 February 2015 9:10 AM, PST | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

John Travolta and Idina Menzel's recent Oscars reunion was almost more cringeworthy than his mispronunciation of Menzel's name at the ceremony the year before.

Now, a spokesperson for Travolta has confirmed that the pair's entire stage reunion was elaborately planned and rehearsed.

"It was rehearsed in total," the Pulp Fiction star's rep told Us Weekly. "John Travolta loved working with Idina Menzel.

"John had a great time at the Oscars because his wife, Kelly Preston, and his daughter, Ella, were in attendance with him."

Travolta mistakenly announced Menzel as 'Adele Dazeem' ahead of her performance of Frozen's 'Let it Go' at the 2014 Oscars ceremony.

Menzel returned the favour on Sunday night (February 22) by jokingly referring to the actor as "Glom Gazingo".

He responded by slowly stroking the Broadway star's face, saying: "I deserve that. I deserve that. But you, my darling, my beautiful, my wickedly talented Idina Menzel."

John Travolta's Touchy-Feely Oscar Moment with Idina Menzel Was Rehearsed, Says Rep

24 February 2015 10:40 AM, PST | PEOPLE.com | See recent PEOPLE.com news »

Hey, it was meant to look that way! John Travolta's now-infamous moment at Sunday's Oscars when he caressed Idina Menzel's face was planned ahead of time, his rep says. The bit was meant to riff on how he bungled the singer's name at last year's Academy Awards, but he ended up launching at least one new meme because he got all handsy with her visage. "It was rehearsed in total," Travolta's rep told People. "John Travolta loved working with Idina Menzel. John had a great time at the Oscars because his wife, Kelly Preston, and his daughter, Ella, »

Inside Vanity Fair’s Oscar Party: Beyonce, Cumberbatch and In-n-Out

23 February 2015 1:11 PM, PST | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

There’s plenty of elbow rubbing in Hollywood, but nothing compares to the amount of touching between famous people that occurs at the Vanity Fair Oscars party. Benedict Cumberbatch started early in the night, when he lounged at the bar with a martini, and gently rubbed the belly of his pregnant wife, Sophie Hunter. Then J.J. Abrams walked up to Cumberbatch and gave him a big hug. Abrams leaned forward and brushed the actor’s cheek, while Cumberbatch put his hand on Abram’s shoulder — and at some point, a misguided fan (or “Cumberbitch,” as they’re often called) tried to interrupt Cumberbatch for a photo. “I’m in the middle of talking to some friends, so sorry,” the Oscar-nominated star of “The Imitation Game” told his groupie.

Cumberbatch and Abrams chatted for a few minutes, until the conversation turned to the actor’s next big project: his first-born child. »

When he was Leaf: The early roles of Joaquin Phoenix

28 January 2015 5:00 AM, PST | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Long before he was a critically-lauded and Oscar-nominated leading man, Joaquin Phoenix was a precocious child star who began working professionally when he was just 7 years old.

As a youngster, Phoenix went by the first name of Leaf before switching back to his given name Joaquin for To Die For. The Gus Van Sant drama saw Phoenix hold his own against Nicole Kidman, and he hasn't looked back since.

Digital Spy dives into the archives to pick out 5 early roles for Joaquin back when he was known as Leaf...

Seven Brides for Seven Brothers (1982)

Joaquin's older brother River Phoenix was a cast member on the short-lived '80s TV series Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, and he made his acting debut on the episode 'Christmas Song'.

Unfortunately, it was a less-than-auspicious start for Leaf who, if you watch the above video closely, gets clocked by a wayward fist (at 01: »

John Travolta works out at 3am for the benefit of his children. The 60-year-old Hollywood star was recently pictured in a gym in the early hours of the morning and has revealed he's determined to stay in good shape so he can raise his kids. The 'Grease' actor - who has a daughter, Ella Bleu, and a son, Benjamin, with his wife Kelly Preston - explained: ''[I work out] for my health... as you get older, if you have kids that are young - I mean, my son's four and my daughter's 14. I should be really a grandfather, but I'm a father. ''They still want me to play with them at the level of a much younger man. So in order to stay healthy for them, that's what I do.'' 'Twins' Sequel 'Triplets' Gets Delayed

7 January 2015 1:12 PM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Back in November 2012, Universal Pictures hired actor/screenwriter Josh Gad and his partner Ryan Dixon to pen the screenplay for the long-awaited Twins sequel entitled Triplets. We haven't heard anything about the project since then, but the comedy will bring back Twins stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito, with Eddie Murphy joining the cast as the brothers' long-lost triplet. Josh Gad held a Reddit Ama session yesterday for his new comedy The Wedding Ringer, in theaters next weekend, where he revealed that the Triplets script is done, but Universal apparently is contemplating whether or not to move forward with the follow-up.

"Uh, you know... the script is actually done. Everybody agrees that it's great. We wound up doing 2 drafts. Universal, I think, hit the pause button temporarily for whatever reason - internally I think they are trying to figure out if they want to do a sequel or not. I »
