Per Deadline, Dillahunt will play Jody, “a new doctor who replaces Mindy while she goes on maternity leave. Jody is a charming southern gentleman with extremely traditional values who thinks that Mindy is a tacky idiot.” It is not yet known in which episode the actor will make his Mindy Project debut. Dillahunt joins an impressive lineup of guest stars for The Mindy Project‘s upcoming fourth season, the show’s first ever on its new home, Hulu, after it was cancelled by Fox at the end of Season 3. As user Amg explains in our forums, "Julianna Margulies [2011, 2014], Archie Panjabi , Carrie Preston and Martha Plimpton have won for each of the five seasons thus far." Now he wonders, "Will the winning streak continue for its sixth season?" -Break- Emmys exclusive: Which episode is submitted by Christine Baranski ('Good Wife')? The CBS legal drama has three acting nominations this year: Drama Supporting Actor (Alan Cumming), Drama Supporting Actress (Christine Baranski) and Drama Guest Actor (Michael J. Fox). None of them are currently forecast to win according to our racetrack odds, but could one of them pull off an upset? After all, hardly anyone anticipated Panjabi's win for the first season. Baranski, the only actor to be nominated for all six seasons of the show, ranks fourth in her cat. »

The Performer | Sutton Foster
The Show | Younger
The Episode | “The Old Ma’am and the C” (June 9)
The Performance | In many ways, Younger‘s initial 12-episode run has thrown just as many challenges at Sutton Foster’s character — Liza Miller, a 40-year-old divorcé masquerading as a 26-year-old publishing assistant — as it’s thrown at the actress, herself. And while Tuesday’s season finale proved to be a stressful, harrowing half-hour for Liza, it was an embarrassment of riches for the viewers, as we were served all the colors of the Foster rainbow in one delicious sitting.

2 | How could Game of Thrones‘ Daenerys just leave her advisors and lover in the bloodbath arena as she flew away on her dragon?
The 40-year-old cat is officially out of the bag. Again.
Following last week’s ecstasy-fueled reveal, Liza was forced to have “the talk” with Josh on Tuesday’s Younger season finale, and it did not go well — unless, of course, she wanted him to call her a “lunatic” and tell her he never wants to see her again.

Just yesterday we reported that ABC had picked up Dan Savage's sitcom "The Real O'Neals," and now we already have a trailer... That looks pretty darn promising. Focusing on a contemporary Catholic family with a whole lotta skeletons in their closet, "The Real O'Neals" offers up the first network TV sitcom protagonist that's a gay teenager (Noah Galvin) alongside a family that includes a matriarch played by the can-do-know-wrong Martha Plimpton. Watch the trailer below: The show's synopsis via Deadline: A contemporary take on a seemingly perfect Catholic family, whose lives take an unexpected turn when surprising truths are revealed. Instead of ruining their family, the honesty triggers a new, messier chapter where everyone stops pretending to be perfect and actually starts being real. “The Real O’Neals” stars Martha Plimpton as Eileen, Jay R. Ferguson as Pat, Noah Galvin as Kenny, Mathew Shively as Jimmy, Bebe Wood as Shannon and. »

ABC continues its commitment to great storytelling with the announcement of its 2015-16 slate of programming, including the addition of 10 new series. Paul Lee, president, ABC Entertainment Group, will unveil the network's new lineup to the advertising and media communities this afternoon at Lincoln Center's Avery Fisher Hall. Here's what Paul Lee had to say in a statement.
"Our new slate of shows continues the momentum from last year. ABC was the most buzzed about network, and the only major network to hold on to its audience and to grow in the target demo. Our 2015-16 schedule, with new shows and returning favorites that reflect our commitment to world-class storytelling, will solidify ABC's place as the network that raises the bar for what viewers expect from broadcast television.

ABC opted for stability in the fall, launching just five new series with no major shakeups to its nightly strategies. The network, which had momentum this past season with improved ratings, is clearly hoping to maintain its uptick, simply swapping dramas for dramas and comedies for comedies.
ABC is poised to win the May sweep in adults 18-49 and will finish as the only Big Four broadcast network up in the demo vs. last season. For the season, ABC will finish a competitive third in 18-49 and is No. 1 with all sports excluded from averages.
Monday nights will stay put in the fall with “Dancing With the Stars,” followed by “Castle,” which just set both Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion, “our two beloved heroines and heroes,” said ABC Entertainment Group president Paul Lee, for its eighth season, following lengthy contract negotiations. After “DWTS” hands out the mirror ball, “The Bachelor” will come in, »

“Uncle Buck” joins three other new comedies on ABC’s 2015-16 slate: “The Muppets” reinvention from “The Big Bang Theory” co-creator Bill Prady; “Dr. Ken,” a medical laffer starring “Community’s” Ken Jeong; and the Martha Plimpton family sitcom “The Real O’Neals.”
Based on the 1989 John Hughes movie of the same name, which starred John Candy, ABC’s modern-day retelling centers around a diverse ensemble, following the success of its freshman breakout “Black-ish,” which was renewed for a second season yesterday.
The title character (played by Epps) is a fun-loving but irresponsible guy who needs a job and a place to stay. By happy coincidence, his nieces and nephew’s nanny has just quit, so his brother and sister-in-law need his help, and his unconventional personality just may make him the right fit for the family — plus, »

The Muppets are returning to primetime, one of three new comedies picked up by ABC on Thursday evening. ABC also has picked up "The Real O'Neals" and "Dr. Ken" to series. But really... "The Muppets"! All official programming details will come with ABC's upfront presentation on Tuesday (May 12), but here's what we know for now: *** Longtime "Big Bang Theory" showrunner and Muppets guardian Bill Prady and Bob Kushell are co-writers on what is described as "a contemporary, documentary-style show that, for the first time ever, will explore the Muppets’ personal lives and relationships, both at home and at work, as well as romances, break-ups, achievements, disappointments, wants and desires." This is "a more adult Muppet show, for kids of all ages" and it remains to be announced which Muppets will take part. For purposes of the art with this story, I'm assuming Kermit. *** "Dr. Ken" was written by Jared Stern, »
