David Slade is a great movie director (that brief foray into paycheck territory with “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” notwithstanding — hey, guy’s got mortgages to pay, probably), and as it turns out, he’s also a pretty snazzy TV director, too. The man who gave us “30 Days of Nights” on the big screen and multiple episodes of “Hannibal” on the small screen will now be giving us the first two episodes of the Playstation Network’s original show “Powers.” “Powers,” in case you lost track, was supposed to be a big-time FX Channel TV series, based on the comic book of the same name about a world filled with superheroes. The show’s angle was that it would concentrate on the non-powered cops who have to deal with this new breed of menace. Well, “Powers” never really got anywhere on FX after years of development, and even though it actually »

Courtesy of ComingSoon we have a brand new poster for The Prince. Jason Patric seeks vengeance against Jason Patric in the latest film from direct-to-video action director Brian A Miller. After his daughter is kidnapped by a former rival assassin, Patric must take matters into his own hands. It may sound kind of familiar but who doesn’t love a simple plot? The cast is also nice and diverse with Willis and Patric joined by John Cusack, rapper 50 Cent, Korean pop star Rain. No doubt Willis’ appearance is exaggerated by his prominence on the poster, as he reportedly only spent 5 days on set, and who can blame the producers when he demands $1,000,000 a day for shooting. But it came at a price after Cusack accidentally punched Willis in the face which reportedly did not go down well.
Miller’s films have been fun so far, but this does highlight Willis »

The Prince, a movie which isn’t forthcoming when it comes to details about its plot (possibly because, why bother?), has a new trailer, and the main question seems to be, who exactly is the bad guy? Oh sure, Bruce Willis seems to have done the kidnapping, and he doesn’t look to be the nicest guy ever, but isn’t Jason Patric an ex-assassin who obviously murdered Willis’ wife… well, or someone?
As much as you might shrug off the trailer for this one, because do we really need another Taken… or whatever, I have a feeling this one has a few layers to the ideas its offering up, and it looks as though it might actually have some decent action. Plus, John Cusack.
The Prince is hitting theaters and VOD on August 22nd, so keep your eyes open for more info, and more looks at this one, because »

(Cbr) Did you know that Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Jason Patric are starring together in a movie? Neither did we until we saw this trailer for "The Prince" pop up on Yahoo! Movies. Directed by Brian A. Miller (House of the Rising Sun) from a script by Jeremy Passmore ("Red Dawn," "Special") and Andre Fabrizio ("San Andreas"), the film features Patric as an assassin who’s forced out of retirement and into his old stomping grounds of New Orleans when his daughter goes missing. Unfortunately, Willis’ crime boss has been waiting years for him to return so he can settle an old score. "The Prince," which also stars 50 Cent and South Korean pop star/actor Rain ("Speed Racer," "Ninja Assassin"), arrives in theaters and on demand Aug. 22. »

After his daughter disappears, ex-hitman Paul (Jason Patric) packs his bags and goes in search. But along the way he locks horns with old foe, crime boss Omar (Bruce Willis), who has a 20 year long score to settle. Expect guns, fisticuffs and some questionable dialogue. Oh and lots of fun!

Later this year, he’ll appear in both Sin City: A Dame to Kill For and The Prince. The latter is another kidnapped-daughter-rescue story à la Taken. Jason Patric plays the dad rescuing his kid—but according to the trailer, it looks like Willis will get way more action screentime as the kidnapper. 50 Cent and John Cusack also show up in supporting roles.
The Prince will be available on demand and in select theaters August 22nd. »

Here's the first trailer for The Prince, starring Jason Patric as a father with a shady past who finds himself drawn back into a life of crime when his daughter is kidnapped by his former rival, played by Bruce Willis. It's basically Taken, except the bad guy is Bruce Willis instead of an Albanian human-trafficking ring, and the supporting actors are John Cusack, 50 Cent, and South Korean pop star Rain, instead of people who should logically be in a movie together. »

Jason Patric stars in the ensemble action thriller as a long-retired assassin who is pulled back into the life when someone grabs his daughter. Waiting for him in New Orleans is crime boss Omar (Bruce Willis), who has a score to settle that goes back 20 years. John Cusack, Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, Jessica Lowndes, Johnathon Schaech, Gia Mantegna and South Korean actor-singer Rain (aka Jung Ji-hoon) co-star in The Prince from Emmett/Furla/Oasis Films, Grindstone Entertainment and director Brian A. Miller. Andre Fabrizio and Jeremy Passmore penned the pic, which opens day-and-date August 22 in theaters and VOD. Check it […] »
Guess Bruce Willis is still doing action movies, cause The Prince sure looks like an action movie. I bet this was a contract some time ago, one that he probably regrets right now. The Prince looks pretty bad and about the only thing that’s going to push people to watch this mess will be the […]
You may not know this, but Hollywood has a list of leading men who should get their own version of Taken . Liam Neeson was first, and then there was Kevin Costner , and even Sean Penn will soon be getting one . The latest actor to get a Taken? Congratulate Hollywood for loving the 90's deep cuts, because it looks like Jason Patric is your guy for The Prince. And, oddly enough, they've surrounded him with some superstar talent in the above trailer in the form of Bruce Willis and John Cusack. Also, 50 Cent! From the looks of the trailer, which comes to us via Yahoo!,Jason Patric's daughter has been kidnapped. Fortunately he's got a very specific set of skills. Unfortunately, he's got to use them against Bruce Willis! Yep, John McClane has done the takening in The Prince, which makes Patric call old buddy John Cusack out of retirement. »

A movie starring Bruce Willis, John Cusack and Jason Patric sounds awesome. It’s the kind of line-up that film fans dream of. Between them, these three actors have starred in some of the most iconic films of the past thirty years, but, unfortunately, the trailer for The Prince undermines that excitement to the point of being almost off-putting – and there are two very simple reasons why.
The Prince tells the story of a mechanic with a questionable past (Patric), who is reluctantly drawn back into the shady underworld he once left behind when he finds that his old rival (Willis) has kidnapped his daughter. Working to rescue her, he must confront his past. Directed by Brian A. Miller (Officer Down), the film comes from a screenplay by Andre Fabrizio (Photo) and Jeremy Passmore (Red Dawn).
So, here’s the first thing that’s wrong with it – it’s nothing new. »

It looks as if Bruce Willis has been taking career tips from Nicolas Cage, given one or two of the roles he's popped up in over the past couple of years. His latest, The Prince, lands in Us cinemas this August (not a million miles away from the release of the Willis-less The Expendables 3), and sees him co-starring with Jason Patric and John Cusack.
The premise is one of a family man who - what do you know - used to be a mob enforcer. When his daughter goes missing, he's got to get across the country to try and find her.
Brian A Miller directs this one, which is getting a limited Us release on August 22nd. And here's the trailer for the film...

We haven't talked about Brian A. Miller's action-thriller The Prince since Bruce Willis was cast nearly a year ago, but that changes today since the first trailer has been released. If I told you that the plot is similar to that of the Liam Neeson-starring franchise Taken, you might imagine that Willis steps into Neeson's skilled shoes. You'd be wrong, since Willis is actually the taker in this version, while Jason Patric is the father tasked with rescuing his kidnapped daughter. Good thing Patric has his buddy, played by John Cusack, along to help him out in the film that proudly shows off its New Orleans' setting. Also starring Jessica Lowndes, Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson, and Rain, The Prince opens in select theaters and OnDemand August 22nd. Hit the jump to watch the first trailer, which may just give away the end of the movie for some reason. Check out »

Bruce Willis had to watch his daughter get blown up, so he's going to make sure Jason Patric feels the same pain, kicking off the first trailer for thriller “The Prince,” the newest thriller from Brian A Miller. “The Prince” refers to the old codename for Patric's character Paul, from the days when he used to assassinate people. Now he's gotten out and is working as a mechanic, but Willis’ Omar is not likely to let him go that easily. Omar kidnaps Paul's daughter and has unspeakable things in store for her, unless Paul shows up to confront him himself. »
