Sarah Jessica Parker and James Wilkie kept lunch casual by stopping by a Gray's Papaya to pick up hot dogs in Manhattan on Thursday. The famous NYC chain also played a prominent part in an episode of Sex and the City and being at the May premiere of the second film was among our red carpet highlights of the year. Carrie Bradshaw's lip-lock with Mr. Big was also included in Buzz's favorite movie kisses of 2010, though it's losing the race for the readers' best comedy. Next up for the style icon mom is New Year's Eve both to ring in 2011 and in her career, since she recently signed on for a part in the star-studded follow up to Valentine's Day. View Slideshow › »

Pierce Brosnan has a high-profile project to look forward to in the New Year – he’ll co-star alongside a galaxy of stars, including Sarah Jessica Parker, Christina Hendricks and Kelsey Grammer, in the comedy I Don’t Know How She Does It. The film will be based on the 2002 best-selling novel of the same name by British writer Allison Pearson. Parker, shifting into post-Sex and the City mode, will play the lead character, a harried successful businesswoman and mother of two who’s navigating the competing aspects of her life. Brosnan is reportedly down to play one of Parker’s love interests, though the Kate Reddy character is married in the book. Filming starts next month, and as the book is based in New York, it’s a good bet that at least some of the shooting will take place in and around city streets. The film is being released by the Weinstein Company. »

Two years ago, author Dallas Clayton (below) self-published his first tome, An Awesome Book! ($16), to major acclaim. The colorful picture book, which he made available online, was a hit with everyone — and he was in, well, awe.
“I just made it for my son,” Clayton tells People Moms & Babies. “Having it go online and sort of catch fire, and sell out… those are the kinds of things you wish for when you write a book about dreaming big. But you don’t understand the scope of it until someone from a country you’ve never been »
Hmm, we have a movie called I Don't Know How She Does It starring Sarah Jessica Parker as a mother trying to balance kids and career. How ever will we get men to show up? Well if your lead isn't hot, cast some supporting roles with guy-bait, and that's why Christina Hendricks and Olivia Munn have now joined the cast. I mean, it's for their acting. Totally, for their acting. Also added to the roster is Seth Meyers, but apologies for not finding room for a picture of him here. Also in »

Sarah Jessica Parker’s latest rom-com, I Don’t Know How She Does It, based on the popular Allison Pearson book, will have the stylish actress playing a Wall Street financial type, who has to juggle work, raising her kids, and–one assumes—finding true love. So, this flick will not likely be something men line up for.
But hey, men! Don’t be put off by the lame plot, the fact that Sjp tends to make truly terrible movies, or that this will feature a bunch of characters painfully unaware of financial troubles. (Recession? What recession? That’s Sarah’s motto!) Because the La Times reports, that the producers have added some incentive just for you!
Christina Hendricks (the gorgeous Joan from Mad Men) and “Twitter sensation” Olivia Munn (whose addition to The Daily Show sparked a wild—but thankfully brief—backlash from some female viewers) have joined the cast, »

Most of us stop thinking about work as we enter the holiday season, but Hollywood actors and actresses are lining up their jobs for the new year. There is a whole bunch of casting news that's recently been announced, much of it in the romantic comedy genre, and here's the rundown. Mad Men's Christina Hendricks and G4's Olivia Munn will join Kelsey Grammer and Pierce Brosnan in the comedy I Don't Know How She Does It, which stars Sarah Jessica Parker as a woman juggling her work on Wall Street with a family life. Parker herself is also joining the huge ensemble for Garry Marshall's romantic comedy New Year's Eve while Halle Berry is in negotiations for a role too. 30 Rock award winner Alec Baldwin is the latest actor circling a spot in the Broadway adaptation Rock of Ages. If you thought Sarah Jessica Parker wasn't going to be doing much for awhile after the release of "Sex and the City 2," then you're wrong. She's bringing the novel "I Don't Know How She Does It" to the big screen with a couple of intriguing casting additions. Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn and Seth Meyers are all making their way onto the cast that's clearly headlined by Parker. The happy quartet will be joining Kelsey Grammer and Pierce Brosnan in what appears to be one of the more interesting group of actors under one film that's been reported in awhile. She'll be playing a high-powered finance type who's also the mother of two young children and trying to balance the many competing elements in her life. You can clearly guess that this project is some sort of romantic comedy, which means that Parker's "Sex and the City" fan base will »

Cinema Blend Christina Hendricks will play friend to Sarah Jessica Parker in romcom I Don't Know How She Does It. Sigh. Can we talk about Hollywood's refusal to give Hendricks her own romcom? I don't understand why she has to keep playing second fiddle. Give her a chance to bloom, Hollywood.

There are few men I know out there who can honestly say that they get excited for a Sarah Jessica Parker movie, but with the recent casting announcements for her upcoming flick "I Don't Know How She Does It," it seems like this film might be the first.
The film would follow Parker as a hedge-fund manager and married mother of two who has to balance her working life with taking care of her children. Hendricks will play Parker's friend, while Munn will be Parker's work colleague. Meyers' role has not been revealed. The three actors join the previously cast Pierce Brosnan and Kelsey Grammer. It's a kind of funny coincidence that all of these actors got their start on the small screen. »

The ground is far too fertile when a film from Sarah Jessica Parker is called I Don’t Know How She Does It, but rather than take cheap shots by answering the rhetorical title, it’s more important to celebrate the talent she’ll be surrounding herself with. The film has just signed on Christina Hendricks (despite science still having no explanation for how she physically exists) and SNL head writer Seth Meyers (despite science still having no explanation for how SNL still exists). Both are fairly new to the film but aren’t strangers to show business. Plus, they are the perfect, harmless additions to what seems like a stock comedy about a woman having it all. After all, there has to be a gossipy best friend and someone for Christina Hendricks to play. Oliva Munn will also be playing a small role, busting out of her cameo phase and the twitter fame people seem to »

Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn & SNL's Seth Meyers Also Among Ensemble Cast It seems that women--at least in popular culture--can never get their life together even if they have a perfect job, great kids and a loving husband. Chick lit and chick flicks have no problem continually driving this message home, pitching dizzy, exhausted women into a world where having to do more than one thing at once seems overwhelming. Well, another picture with that heartening message is on the way and big surprise that Sarah Jessica Parker, the icon of preying on and exploiting women's insecurities, is set to… »
In case you weren't aware (especially since we didn't post this news whenever it was announced), an adaptation of Allison Pearson's hit British book I Don't Know How She Does It is on the way with Sarah Jessica Parker starring. Now it looks like the supporting cast has been rounded out with some real eye candy and a couple great male talents as well. 24 Frames reports Christina Hendricks ("Mad Men") and Olivia Munn ("Attack of the Show") have landed major roles in the romantic comedy about a high-powered finance type (Parker) who's also the mother of two young children and trying to balance the many competing elements in her life. Hendricks is playing a friend of Parker's character while Munn will play one of her work colleagues. Along with these lovely ladies, "Saturday Night Live" head writer and Weekend Update host Seth Meyers has also landed an unknown »

Though she's still incredibly famous thanks to the lingering popularity of Sex and the City, Sarah Jessica Parker's movie career has been particularly brutal, between the frankly terrible two Sex and the City movies and uninspired rom-coms like Did You Hear About The Morgans? and Failure to Launch. With her time as Carrie Bradshaw probably over for good, though, Parker's got to keep working somehow, so she's giving the romantic comedy another shot with I Don't Know How She Does It, an adaptation of Allison Pearson's comic novel. Parker is set to star as the main character, a businesswoman also raising two children, and now The La Times reports that a whole raft of famous names have joined as well. Christina Hendricks, Olivia Munn, Seth Meyers, Pierce Brosnan and Kelsey Grammar have all signed on for roles in the Weinstein Company film, which starts under director Doug McGrath »
