De Felitta last directed The Thing About My Folks and doc film 'Tis Autumn - The Search for Jackie Paris. City Island is set in a fishing village in the Bronx, De Felitta's original screenplay stars Andy Garcia as Vince Rizzo, a correctional officer who is keeping a couple of secrets. Celebrity guests at a party for Edie Falco's new TV show Nurse Jackie got a medical scare of their own when an elderly female collapsed and was carried away on a stretcher.
Julianna Margulies, LL Cool J and Debra Winger were among the star-studded crowd at the hospital-themed party in New York on Tuesday.
Showtime executives had a space at the Parker Meridien hotel decorated with a hospital bed and an X-ray machine, leading some guests to believe the woman's fall was a stunt.
But actress Merritt Wever, who also plays a nurse on the show, quickly realised the incident was no performance and called paramedics to the scene.
The woman was treated for exhaustion and released, reports the New York Post.

In a formal presentation held on Wednesday, May 20, CBS announced its official Fall 2009 schedule. Among the highlighted ones are the pick-up of "Medium" which has been snubbed by NBC and the go-ahead on "NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" spin-off which is titled "NCIS: Los Angeles".
CBS Studios which is behind "Medium" previously criticized NBC for canceling the show starring Patricia Arquette. "NBC's cancellation of 'Medium' is inexplicable to us," the statement said. "The ratings don't lie: 'Medium' outperforms many of NBC's renewed shows ... We believe the show has a significant future and await developments." It will be put on Fridays, sandwiched by "Ghost Whisperer" and "Numb3rs".
Meanwhile, "NCIS: Los Angeles" which was previously thought to be named "NCIS: Legend", focuses on a new batch of naval agents who have been introduced in an episode of "NCIS". LL Cool J is starring as Special Agent Sam Hanna,

In New York this morning, CBS released its schedule to advertisers. CBS had less work to do with its Fall 2009 schedule. And, comfortable atop the ratings, the Eye didn’t mess around with what wasn’t broken.
The big news was that the network has picked up Medium, which was cancelled by NBC just yesterday. Produced by sister company CBC Television Studios, it was a simple decision for the broadcast network to pick up the supernatural series that stars Patricia Arquette.
As expected, and as is logical, Medium will be paired with the thematically-similar Ghost Whisperer on Friday nights.
Other than that, CBS’s fall schedule is largely business as usual, anchored by sitcoms and procedurals.
The only new comedy, Accidentally on Purpose brings Jenna Elfman back to your television as a movie critic who gets pregnant. Accidentally, of course. It will air in the Monday comedy block between How I Met Your Mother

(Check out the fall schedules for ABC, NBC and Fox.)
As has been its custom over the decades, CBS outlined a fall 2009 schedule not remarkably different from the current season. Changes include the additions of three new dramas, a Monday-night comedy, a refugee from NBC and the shift from hourlong crime-solving hit "The Mentalist" to Thursday nights.
New to the network's schedule will be "The Good Wife," starring "ER's" Julianna Margulies as a woman returning to work as a...

Chicago – In a relatively shocking announcement as a part of fall schedule upfronts this week, CBS actually pulled the trigger on “Without a Trace,” a show that had reportedly gotten too expensive for the network. There were rumors that they may do the same with “Cold Case,” but that show will return with on-the-bubble shows “The New Adventures of Old Christine” and “Rules of Engagement” also being miraculously renewed and “Medium” being saved.
This Fall CBS adds the popular drama series Medium, starring Patricia Arquette, Fridays (9:00-10:00 Pm, Et/Pt), forming a hauntingly compatible two-hour block with Ghost Whisperer at 8:00 Pm.

The dramas "Cold Case" and "Numbers" are coming back along with the comedies "The New Adventures of Old Christine," "Rules of Engagement" and "Gary Unmarried." Failing to make the cut were "Without a Trace," "The Unit" and "11th Hour." CBS decided to keep "NCIS" on its Tuesday night lineup, leading into the show's new spinoff "NCIS: Los Angeles," which stars O'Donnell and LL Cool J.
