Here are the ratings for the Fashion Star TV series. This reality TV show gives 14 unknown fashion designers the chance to win a multi-million dollar prize and launch their own collection. Hosted by Elle Macpherson, the show's celebrity mentors are Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie, and John Varvatos. The first season of Fashion Star typically airs Tuesday nights on the NBC network.

"Fashion Star" wraps up Season 1 with its big finale on Tues., May 15 (10 p.m. Et on NBC), but host and executive producer Elle Macpherson is already looking toward the future.
At the NBC upfront presentation in New York this week, Macpherson told The Huffington Post that there could be some changes when the show returns for a Season 2.
"I think we're going to jerk things around a little bit and you have to watch the space," Macpherson said when asked if all the judges will return. "We've done a great job and NBC has been 100 percent behind us. America's been behind this program."
When pressed for specific details on the changes afoot, Macpherson remained coy. "You're going to have to watch the space," she said.
The reality series features designers competing for a chance to have their clothing sold at reputable retail stores and Macpherson said the sales have been great. »

Fashion Star Season Finale: Elle Macpherson Reveals How Shopping Inspired the Show
Basking in the afterglow of a second season pick-up, NBC's reality series Fashion Star airs its first season finale tonight. Final three designers Kara, Nzimiro and Ronnie compete to sell their signature capsule collections to Macy's, Saks 5th Avenue and H&M, a win worth more than six million dollars to the victor. Last month series co-creator & host Elle Macpherson addressed questions about Fashion Star's groundbreaking concept, execution, and its journey to taking the fashion world by storm. Fs had, by early April, been resold globally to seventy-five countries and with its showcased designs consistently selling out here in America, it's no surprise that a second season was ultimately ordered.

Lifetime has given the green light to The Houston Family Chronicles, a 10-episode docu-series that follows the late Whitney Houston’s family.
In a statement released Friday, the cabler’s Evp of Programming explained, “In this series, the multi-generations of the Houston family will bravely reveal their lives as they bond together to heal, love, and grow.”
Set to “star” in the project (premiering later this year) are the music icon’s daughter, Bobbi Kristina, and mother, Cissy Houston, as well as her brother Gary, sister-in-law Pat and niece Rayah.

NBC has renewed the Elle Macpherson-produced and hosted reality series "Fashion Star" for a second season. The show -- which also stars Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and designer John Varvatos as mentors and judges -- will return for 10 episodes. Fashion Star Renewed for Season 2 by NBC
NBC has renewed Fashion Star, its moderately-rated design series hosted by supermodel Elle MacPherson. Debuting in March, the show never quite broke out in the ratings airing behind The Voice results show, but it's numbers weren't the only factor in the renewal. After every episode of Fashion Star, every design that earns a bid from one of the buyers (H&M, Macy's, Saks Fifth Avenue) gets sold online in a limited-edition basis. That type of ancillary income is valuable, particularly to a show that doesn't have the numbers for an automatic renewal.
Fashion Star is down to the final three designers following a triple elimination in the last episode. Orly and Nikki may have made a sale, but they ended up on the chopping block, going home alongside once-consistent Luciana. The network is yet to confirm, but I hear that NBC is renewing freshman reality series Fashion Star for a second season. The series, created by/exec produced/hosted by Elle Macpherson and featuring Jessica Simpson, Nicole Richie and John Varvatos, has not been a ratings standout, averaging a modest 1.3-1.5 in the adults 18-49, but it is very advertiser-friendly and has a successful fashion line offshoot, which may have tipped the scales in favor of renewal. “The show delivered a concentrated audience of rich urban women, and all the retailers did huge business,” one insider said.
