It’s all fun and games until…..well, it’s all fun.

Child actor Raphael Alejandro is lucky to work with veteran known stars like Eugenio Derbez and Salma Hayek in How to Be a Latin Lover, which will be in theaters nationwide tomorrow.

Alejandro plays the son to Hayek’s Sara character and the nephew to Derbez’s Maximo character.

How to Be a Latin Lover follows Maximo, who finds himself dumped after 25 years of marriage, trying to move on after a career of seducing older rich woman. He ends up moving in with his estranged sister, in which he begins to learn the value of family.

The film also stars Rob Lowe, Kristen Bell, Michael Cera, Rob Corddry, Mckenna Grace, Rob Riggle and Raquel Welch.

Lrm had a sit-down interview with Ralphael Alejandro, in which he talked about all the fun he had on this production.

Exclusive: How Eugenio Derbez Is Becoming a Hollywood Power Player

6 hours ago | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Eugenio Derbez’s rise to stardom began over 30 years ago in his home country of Mexico. Since then, the actor-producer-director has become one of the world’s biggest Hispanic stars, setting a box office record in the U.S. for the highest-grossing Spanish-language film with 2013’s Instructions Not Included and even earning his own star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. But many who pass by the marker don’t recognize the name.

“It’s like living two lives at the same time, because all the Hispanics here in this country, they know me pretty well, but not the Americans,” Derbez confesses to Et. “Sometimes [I’ll] go to a meeting and I’m nothing, nobody for the executives. Then I go back and, picking up my car with the valet, the valet parkers are excited to meet me. So my agents told me, ‘You should do your meeting instead of in an office, in a restaurant »

Box Office: ‘Fate of the Furious’ Aims for Threepeat Over ‘The Circle,’ ‘Latin Lover’

26 April 2017 2:10 PM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

The Fate of the Furious” is racing toward its third straight weekend on top of the box office.

After earning $38.4 million domestically during its second frame, the eighth film in the beloved “Fast and Furious” franchise should steer clear of the competition once again and land in the $15 million to $20 million range. A major landmark also approaches as the actioner could race past $1 billion at the global box office this week.

The biggest contender in “Fate’s” race to the top is “The Circle” from Stx and EuropaCorp, which will likely earn somewhere between $10 million and $15 million. While its production budget is a relatively thrifty $18 million, the opening expectations are meager considering the star power involved, mainly Tom Hanks (who opened 2016’s “Sully” to $35 million), Emma Watson (recently the belle of the box office in “Beauty and the Beast”), and “Star Wars” phenom John Boyega.

Emma Watson’s The Circle Ends The Lame Spring Movie Season -- The Weekend Warrior

26 April 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

Welcome back to the Weekend Warrior, your weekly look at the new movies hitting theaters this weekend, as well as other cool events and things to check out.

Even Emma Watson and Tom Hanks May Not Be Enough to Make a Mark As April Ends

The last weekend of April, and the “slower” spring movie season is ending this weekend, leading directly into the start of the lucrative summer box office next week. As has been the case in past years, the last couple weekends in April see a couple movies hoping to bring in any amount of money before the first big summer blockbuster, and other movies that will steal away their theaters. Last weekend was pretty sad, but hopefully a few of this weekend’s movies will fare better.

Can The Circle Stop Fate of the Furious at the Box Office?

25 April 2017 10:05 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Even while facing a steep second-weekend decrease of 61.1%, The Fate of the Furious still managed to come away with an easy win, taking in $38.4 million against five new releases, two of which didn't even crack the top 10. This weekend it will only face one newcomer in a true wide release, Stx Entertainment's The Circle, with Pantelion's latest comedy How to Be a Latin Lover and Blumhouse Tilt's Sleight also opening in several national markets, but with a much lower theater count. While Fast 8 will likely suffer another sizable drop in its third frame, it should come out on top with a projected take of $18.2 million.

Last weekend, Fate of the Furious actually added 19 more theaters for a grand total of 4,329, which was still nearly twice the rollout of most of last weekend's newcomers. This weekend, Box Office Mojo reports that The Circle will arrive in more than 2,800 theaters, while How to Be a Latin Lover »

PETA Rips Rob Lowe for Accepting Colonel Sanders Role with KFC

Rob Riggle I can see as Colonel Sanders.  In fact I think Riggle was doing a great job.  But Rob Lowe?  It just seems really foreign to me.  I understand that Lowe’s taken a much more comedic approach to his acting over the past 5 years but something doesn’t feel right about this photo.  And don’t get me wrong.  I couldn’t care less about PETA and their reactions to this ad, even though I’ll share them anyway. “Rob Lowe just sold his soul to hawk the rotting carcasses of small, tortured birds. Normal 0 false false false En-us Ja X-none

Here at Et, we’re obsessed with a lot of things -- and for the week of April 24 to April 30, this is what we’re most excited about:

Why We’re Obsessed With ‘The Lost Tapes: L.A. Riots’

On April 29, 1992, following the acquittal of four white Lapd officers in the beating of a black motorist named Rodney King, Los Angeles became a war zone as protestors took to the streets to stand up to the injustice that had occurred. The protests quickly turned violent, leaving 50 people dead and hundreds more in hospitals, while laying waste to parts of the city. On the 25th anniversary of the event, a trio of documentaries -- A&E’s L.A. Burning: The Riots 25 Years Later, Showtime’s Burn Motherf**ker, Burn! and The Lost Tapes: L.A. Rob Lowe as KFC’s Colonel Sanders Is Just His ‘Grinder’ Character Trolling Us, Right?

Rob Lowe dressed up like Colonel Sanders today, and that just makes us miss “The Grinder” even more.

The Emmy-nominated actor is the latest star to appear as the KFC founder in a series of ads, this time donning a space suit with a trompe l’oiel design to mimic the Sanders’ signature white suit and string tie. It’s a bizarre but not entirely un-funny ad that embraces the over-the-top aspect of the announcement that Colonel Harland Sanders (Lowe) want to blast KFC’s newest Zinger sandwich into space.

Eugenio Derbez’s 3Pas Studios Woos Crossover Audience With Its First Film, ‘How to Be a Latin Lover’

19 April 2017 9:45 AM, PDT | Variety - Film News | See recent Variety - Film News news »

Hispanic moviegoers are a huge slice of the U.S. film business, and yet few producers have cracked the secret of making titles that appeal specifically to that audience. The exception, it would seem, is Mexican star, director, and producer Eugenio Derbez, whose “Instructions Not Included” became the most successful Spanish-language movie ever in the U.S., grossing $44 million in 2013.

Now Derbez and his producing partner, Benjamin Odell, are opening the first title under their fledgling 3Pas Studios banner, the Ken Marino-directed comedy “How to Be a Latin Lover,” starring Derbez and Salma Hayek, with Raquel Welch, Rob Lowe, Kristen Bell, and Rob Riggle.

Pantelion Films, the Televisa-Lionsgate joint venture with which 3Pas Studios has an exclusive first-look pact, is doubling its typical screen count for the nationwide bow on April 28, with upwards of 800 screens. Pantelion’s largest release to date was for biopic “Cesar Chavez” on nearly 700 screens in 2014.
