Santa getting high than shot down from the sky, a claymation penis, Neil Patrick Harris eating out a woman on stage then getting a handjob in heaven, naked nuns and priest molestation jokes, a baby taking cocaine and marijuana; this is only a small portion of the insanity found in the latest and greatest red band trailer for A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas.
Director Todd Strauss-Schulson has helmed this third iteration which sees John Cho and Kal Penn returning, with newcomers Patton Oswalt, Elias Koteas and Thomas Lennon. It seems a little too soon to get into the Christmas spirit, but I would much rather do it via this film than any family friendly adventure. Check out the raunchy red band trailer below via IGN.

The two existing Harold & Kumar movies have gone a long way towards keeping raunchy, healthy R-rated humor alive over the past few years. The third one, A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas, seems to be operating on the principle that you can get away with just about anything, so long as it is all wrapped up in a big holiday bow. The first trailer made the third film look mildly manic and possibly funny. This new red-band trailer (which is very Nsfw) makes it look straight-up wrong. Which is as it should be. Thank IGN for the trailer. Kal Penn and John Cho return as the title characters (heroes?); Neil Patrick Harris is back as someone's fantasy version of Neil Patrick Harris, and Patton Oswalt, Thomas Lennon, Danny Trejo, Eddie Kaye Thomas, David Krumholtz, and Elias Koteas all have roles. H&K creators Jon Hurwitz & Hayden Schlossberg wrote, and Todd Strauss-Schulson directed. »

Warner Bros. has released a new red band trailer for A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas. The sequel takes place six years after Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay---the duo has grown apart, but when Kumar decides to bring a mysterious package to Harold's house, Kumar inadverdently burns down Harold's father's prized Christmas tree. In place of White Castle, the stoner quest at the center of Christmas is to replace the tree. John Cho and Kal Penn return as the title characters, joined by Neil Patrick Harris, Patton Oswalt, Thomas Lennon, Danny Trejo, Eddie Kaye Thomas, David Krumholtz, and Elias Koteas. A Very Harold & Kumar Christmas opens in 3D on November 4th. If you're over 17, watch the red band trailer after the jump. The Harold & Kumar sense of humor is at home with the red band format, so be warned that the trailer is wildly Nsfw. It looks like director Todd Strauss-Schulson »

Hollywood may seem to be predominantly about pre-existing intellectual properties and sequels these days, but it's still possible to sneak through an original project occasionally. For proof, look to Robert Archer Lynn, who has just sold his spec screenplay The Envoy to Warner Bros, and seen action-meister Joel Silver attached as producer.According to THR, The Envoy revolves around a diplomatic courier whose routine delivery becomes more stressful than anticipated. It turns out that his diplomatic package contains stolen intelligence about a terrorist attack on America, prompting a race across Vienna as he tries to evade bad guys and get to the Us embassy unscathed and intact.Lynn was a contestant on the 2003 season of Ben Affleck and Matt Damon's Project Greenlight on HBO, a competition series giving budding filmmakers the chance at their first big break. He didn't win, but has since written and directed a handful of low-budget independent films. »

New 'Dream House' movie delivered very interesting thrills, drama & twists. Universal Pictures released their new drama/thriller flick "Dream House" into theaters this weekend. I just checked it out, I thought it was pretty entertaining. It got off to a bit of a slow start, but it was necessary for the buildup and plot. The movie stars: Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Marton Csokas, Elias Koteas, and Jane Alexander. In the flick, character Will Atenton/Peter Ward (Daniel Craig) and his family appear to be living a happy life in a nice little house in the woods, but as well all know, things aren't always as they appear, especially in this movie. As the movie progresses, Will starts witnessing strange events with the neighbors and other kids in the neighborhood, which lead to him finding out that a family was killed in the house that he lived in. »
Title: Dream House Directed By: Jim Sheridan Starring: Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Elias Koteas, Marton Csokas, Taylor Geare, Claire Geare, Rachel Fox Movies like Dream House are simply amazing in the worst ways possible. With the slew of films that go into development to never see the green light, how does a script like this slip through rounds and rounds of coverage and scrutiny? Then, how does an irrational story like this attract such top-notch talent like Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts and Rachel Weisz? Worst of all, who thought it’d be worth it to release Dream House in theaters rather than just attempt to tuck it away on »

Two films we quite liked at Sundance this year were Constance Marks‘ documentary Being Elmo: A Puppeteer’s Journey and J.C. Chandor‘s financial thriller Margin Call. We showed off the trailer for the former recently, which follows the adventures of Kevin Clash, the man behind Elmo. The poster below also features a quote from our review, which one can read here.
The latter film stars Kevin Spacey, Paul Bettany, Jeremy Irons, Zachary Quinto, Simon Baker, Demi Moore and Stanley Tucci. We praised the character-based drama which takes place over the course of just 24 hours. Check out the posters below via IMPAwards and read our Margin Call review here and watch the trailer here. Both films hit theaters on October 21st and will expand from there.

The official post for Jennifer Hudson’s upcoming biopic Winnie has been released. Based on Winnie Mandela: A Life by Bezdrob, the film made its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival Sept. 16 and has already opened in Mandela’s native South Africa. Darrell Roodt (Sarafina!, Cry, the Beloved Country) directed the story that follows the “Mother of the Nation” through her marriage to Nelson Mandela (Terrence Howard). Though Mandela has been a controversial figure, thanks to supposed bouts of infidelity and her endorsement of violent practices, the poster shows a tender side of the couple. Elias Koteas and »

Universal Pictures has provided Bloody with all three clips from Jim Sheridan's Dream House, their suspense thriller in theaters this Friday, September 30. Starring Daniel Craig, Naomi Watts, Rachel Weisz, Marton Csokas, Elias Koteas and Jane Alexander, the movie is not being screened for critics. "The Sheridan-helmed psychological thriller follows a family that relocates into what appears to be the ideal residence in small town Connecticut. However, the husband (Craig) and wife (Watts) are disturbed to discover that their beautiful new home was the site of another family's slaughter, believed to be at the hands of the husband who survived." Here’s a rather creepy brand new UK trailer and poster for Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz’s new movie, Dream House. It starts off similar to the Us one that we saw earlier in the year but then gives us quite a bit of new footage.
Once upon a time, there were two little girls who lived in a house. Daniel Craig (Cowboys & Aliens, upcoming The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo), Naomi Watts (The Ring, Fair Game) and Oscar® winner Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener, The Lovely Bones) star in Dream House, a suspense thriller about a family that unknowingly moves into a home where grisly murders were committed…only to uncover even darker mysteries within its walls. »

This syrupy biography of the former wife of Nelson Mandela seeks to sugar-coat South Africa's complex history
It was designed to be the last great hurrah, a grand finale to an epic year at the Toronto: a powerful tale of racial struggle that would prove the icing on the cake at the North American equivalent of Cannes.
And yet, as Friday night fast approached, with a buoyant mood prevailing, and industry attendance up 20%, cracks mysteriously began to appear. Jennifer Hudson had mysteriously double-booked her schedule, we were told, and would not be attending the world premiere of Winnie: Darrell Roodt's long-awaited biopic of the former wife of Nelson Mandela, and Hudson's grand return to the big screen following the brutal murders of her mother, brother and nephew in 2008.
To add to the mystery, the festival's co-director, Cameron Bailey, delivered his final video blog of festival picks that morning. »
From MTV Geek: The original 1990 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie and Elias Koteas notwithstanding, Casey Jones: The Movie by Polaris Banks is probably the most spot-on film treatment of the hockey-masked avenger you will ever find. With superior acting, cinematography, and direction, it is more than just another fan film -- but rather something more akin to Tmnt as done by Martin Scorsese.
Banks describes his rationale for putting so much time and effort into Casey Jones: The Movie as follows: he "felt obligated to make the movie simply because he knew that nobody else would." In addition to wearing many hats on the production, including director, writer, and editor, he also plays ninja turtle Donatello -- yep, that's right, the turtles themselves are also in the film, as well as April O'Neil in her yellow jumpsuit. The look of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Raphael are closer to »
