Will Neil Patrick Harris and Family continue to rule Halloween?

8 hours ago | icelebz.com | See recent iCelebz news »

As Halloween draws near, we will be seeing lots of celebrities dressed in various costumes, slutty, sexy, glamorous and all sorts. But few have the consistency and commitment to the spirit of Halloween like Neil Patrick Harris and newly-wed partner David Burtka and their 2 kids.

What are we going to see from this family in 2014? If the past 3 years are anything to go by, you can be sure that their costumes will be synchronized as a family and will be legen- (wait-for-it) dary! Seldom do we see celebrities entire families getting in on the act like Neil's family does.

Andrew Rannells talks 'Hedwig' pressure, 'Girls' Broadway connections

12 hours ago | EW.com - PopWatch | See recent EW.com - PopWatch news »

Broadway’s most exhilarating rock concert burst onto the boards earlier this year when Neil Patrick Harris stepped into the silky fishnets of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, earning a Tony for the role and ushering the East German rocker into the hands of a new generation of fans. After Harris departed the show in August, The Book of Mormon veteran Andrew Rannells was tapped to fill Hedwig’s high heels. To say his turn is electric, heartbreaking, and wholly different from Harris’ would still be underselling the performance.

Hollywood Heads to Broadway

Every year, the glittering lights and unique experience of Broadway lures Hollywood actors to the East Coast; some are veterans of the stage and others are making their Broadway debut. Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad), James Franco (This is the End) and Chris O’Dowd (Bridesmaids) all made their Broadway debuts earlier this year, with O’Dowd receiving a Tony nomination for Of Mice and Men and Cranston winning a Tony for All The Way. Neil Patrick Harris (How I Met Your Mother), who hadn’t been on Broadway since his 2004 run in Assassins, scored his first Tony nomination and win for Hedwig and the Angry Inch this summer.

The Broadway lineup for the end of the year hosts a number of Hollywood actors making their Broadway debuts, and they are joined by an illustrious group of Broadway vets returning to the stage.

David Fincher explains why his 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea adaptation never happened

15 September 2014 10:53 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

A couple years ago, David Fincher (Fight Club, The Social Network) was knee-deep in location scouting for an adaptation of Jules Verne’s seminal science fiction novel, 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea for Disney. After several delays and casting shakedowns, the project failed to materialize and Fincher moved on to adapting Gillian Flynn’s Gone Girl instead.

It were those disputes over casting that eventually put the kibosh on the adaptation, according to Fincher. He was recently interviewed by Little White Lies and spoke candidly about the things going on behind the scenes that sunk 20,000 Leagues, saying:

“You get over $200 million — all motion picture companies have corporate culture and corporate anxieties. Once we got past the list of people we could cast as the different characters in the film, once we got past one or two names which made them very comfortable, making a movie at that price, it became this »
