"What are you doing?" "I gotta go steal back some drugs for these gang guy so I can get my dog back." Rlj Entertainment has released an official trailer for a new action comedy titled Once Upon a Time in Venice, starring Bruce Willis and John Goodman. This film seems like a straight up John Wick rip off, but maybe it's not even that, perhaps it's a John Wick spoof, a "SoCal John Wick". There's a badass guy in disguise, and someone steals his dog, so to get him back he has to bust some heads. Simple as that. The cast includes plenty of cool people: Jason Momoa, Famke Janssen, Elisabeth Röhm, Kal Penn, Adam Goldberg, Thomas Middleditch, Stephanie Sigman, and Wood Harris. This kind of looks fun, but it also seems like it could be terrible, hopefully not. It's from the same writer as Cop Car, for reference. Enjoy. »

Bruce Willis, private eye? The bonkers first trailer for Robb and Mark Cullen’s Once Upon a Time in Venice has stormed online today, and it features the Hollywood action veteran scouring the streets of Los Angeles in search of a missing dog.
Infusing the zany comedy of Red with the John Wick franchise – Bruce Willis’ cute little pup, Buddy, has somehow wound up in the hands of a formidable drug dealer played by Aquaman‘s Jason Momoa – the first promo for Once Upon a Time in Venice dials the action up to 11, and rips the knob off right around the time when Willis’ down-but-not-out private investigator Steve Ford is seen jumping off a balcony into a nearby pool. And that’s not even the most ridiculous thing you’ll find in the teaser above.

Star Laura Haddock also revealed a little bit information about the Autobot, who has been serving as her protector under the guise of her father’s old 1963 Citroën DS, as well discussing her character Viviane Wembly’s relationship with her father (Anthony Hopkins) following the revelation:
“It’s a rickety old thing, but she can’t part with it because she adores it,” Haddock says of the vintage vehicle. “This car has actually been put there to watch her and feedback information to Anthony Hopkins’s character about what she’s up to and her life. So yeah, she gets kind of taken [by surprise] in a really funny, dramatic way by this Hot Rod. »

30 years ago Cage teamed up with the Coen Brothers to create comedy gold. Why haven’t they reunited since?“That sumbitch. You tell him, I think he’s a damn fool, Ed. You tell him I said so — H.I. McDonnough. If he wants to discuss it, he knows where to find me: in the Maricopa County Maximum Security Correctional Facility For Men State Farm, Road Number 31, Tempe, Arizona! I’LL Be Waitin’! I’ll be waitin’.”
Earlier this week the Coen Brothers’ screwball comedy Raising Arizona turned 30, which is pretty absurd, but whatever. Since the film did celebrate this recent anniversary I figure it’s as good a time as any to talk about what is my favorite Nicolas Cage movie.
Raising Arizona is one of those movies where the stars just come together and align perfectly; at least as far my personal tastes are concerned. Favorite actor? Check. Favorite »

There's a moment early in the new season premiere of the FX crime drama Fargo when a parole officer recalls how he met his fiancée, a slick hustler named Nikki Swango (played by Mary Elizabeth Winstead). As the episode flashes back to Nikki at a police station, getting booked and photographed, fans of filmmakers Joel and Ethan Coen might experience some deja vu. The situation, the way it's shot, and even the way the crook gets yanked around by the authorities – it's all right out of the Coens' 1987 comedy Raising Arizona. »

Before they starred in blockbusters and hit shows, these actors were honing their skills via some pretty hilarious (in retrospect) ad campaigns.
Take a look back at who tried to sell us everything from soda to tampons in their pre-a-list days.
Dressed as a dancer, Cox and her unforgettable haircut “told it to us straight” about Tampax in the ’80s.
Long before repping Jim Beam, a bubbly Kunis appeared in commercials for Telephone Tammy, Glitter Hair Barbie and Lisa Frank.
Affleck played an optimistic would-be suitor equipped with a car phone in a 1989 Burger King ad. »

"These are troubled times... without leaders, chaos reigns." Paramount has released the third trailer for Michael Bay's latest Transformers movie, titled in full Transformers: The Last Knight. The last trailer we posted was focused on the young kids in the movie, but this one gives us a full look at everything going on. These movies (and the robots) keep getting bigger and bigger, with so much epic action it's hard to even comprehend what we're seeing. The huge ensemble cast includes Mark Wahlberg, Anthony Hopkins, Laura Haddock, John Goodman, Stanley Tucci, John Turturro, Josh Duhamel, Isabela Moner, Santiago Cabrera, and Liam Garrigan as King Arthur; plus the same Transformer voices as before: Peter Cullen, Frank Welker and Ken Watanabe. My sci-fi side makes me want to see this just because, but I'm still not that interested in any more Transformers films. I'm on the fence with this. What about you? »

Michael Bay and Paramount have just released a new trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight. Bay has previously said that this film will link together all the mythology from the series and will also be his last Transformers film (though he said the same thing about Dark of the Moon and Age of Extinction and has since expressed interest in directing one of the 14 Transformers stories the writer’s room came up with). Watch the trailer and check out our exclusive interviews with Isabela Moner and Jerrod Carmichael below…

Of all the comic book movies coming out in 2017, Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets may be the most interesting. And it also looks like it may be the riskiest. Doing an expensive sci-fi movie about a relatively obscure comic book that most mainstream moviegoers aren't aware of is dangerous on its own, but when that movie costs more than $200 million dollars to make, it is insanely risky.
According to Cineuropa, director Luc Besson's Valerian now holds the distinction of being the most expensive French movie production in history. And it isn't even close. The closest contender is a French movie called Asterix at the Olympic Games, which cost $82 million to make. With the budget for Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets reportedly coming in at a staggering $209 million, that puts it at almost triple the budget of the previous record holder. Here is the official synopsis for Valerian. »
Before the world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival last month, Universal debuted the Atomic Blonde trailer, which gave fans their first look at Charlize Theron as a deadly British assassin. The buzz swirling around this film has certainly grown since then, with the studio releasing the second trailer today, along with a new poster and photos, with even more intense action that could make this action-thriller one of this summer's sleeper hits. Oscar winner Charlize Theron explodes into summer in Atomic Blonde, a breakneck action-thriller that follows MI6's most lethal assassin through a ticking time bomb of a city simmering with revolution and double-crossing hives of traitors.
The crown jewel of Her Majesty's Secret Intelligence Service, Agent Lorraine Broughton (Charlize Theron) is equal parts spycraft, sensuality and savagery, willing to deploy any of her skills to stay alive on her impossible mission. Sent alone into Berlin to deliver »
"I chose this life, and someday it's going to get me killed. But not today." Universal has debuted a second official trailer for the action movie Atomic Blonde, which looks totally awesome. The comparisons to John Wick do seem accurate, but this also seems like it might have something unique to offer being set in Berlin. Atomic Blonde stars Charlize Theron as an undercover MI6 agent (and/or assassin) sent to Berlin during the Cold War to investigate the murder of a fellow agent. This is directed by David Leitch, a stuntman who worked on co-directing John Wick (before he was uncredited) and he's directing Deadpool 2 next. The full cast includes Bill Skarsgård, Sofia Boutella, James McAvoy, John Goodman, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, James Faulkner, and Roland Møller. I dig the action in this trailer, very excited to watch this. Here's the second official trailer for David Leitch's Atomic Blonde, »
