Sarah Paulson Says That Ahs: Roanoke Is About to Go "Nutty Bobo Nut Town"

22 September 2016 11:05 AM, PDT | POPSUGAR | See recent BuzzSugar news »

After a second episode of American Horror Story: Roanoke, we're more convinced than ever that there's more than meets the eye when it comes to this season. While the stars divulged almost next to nothing about the season before the premiere, they've finally started to talk about what's to come. In particular, Sarah Paulson spoke to Variety and teased some very interesting details. "Something's happening that people are going to go nuts for," she said. "They're going to go nutty bobo nut town . . . I haven't (filmed) it yet. It hasn't been shot yet, but it's something that will be part of this season." I'm not familiar with "nutty bobo nut town," so I'm not sure what happens there, but I'm hoping it has to do with mixing up the show's format, which so far has been very different than any other season. As of episode two, it seems pretty »

‘American Horror Story’: Sarah Paulson on What’s Ahead in Season Six

21 September 2016 5:04 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

The theme of season six of FX’s “American Horror Story” was a mystery until it premiered — but the lingering question about the anthology series remains how all the previous seasons are connected to each other.

Sarah Paulson, who has appeared throughout the series from executive producer Ryan Murphy, says this season will offer a big reveal.

“I know something and I can’t tell you!” she tells Variety. “I have to tease you like that, because you’re going to go ‘What?!’ It’s not necessarily connected, but something’s happening. Something’s happening that people are going to go nuts for. They’re going to go nutty bobo nut town.”

This big reveal, she promises, will come later this season.”I haven’t (filmed) it yet. It hasn’t been shot yet,” she says. “But it’s something that will be part of this season.”

Five Embarrassing Emmy Errors That Went Viral

19 September 2016 2:58 PM, PDT | Variety - TV News | See recent Variety - TV News news »

Sunday’s Primetime Emmy Awards were favorably reviewed, with host Jimmy Kimmel getting praise for keeping the show light and nicely paced.

The red carpet featured some spectacular styles and the acceptance speeches were heartfelt. However, the ceremony was not without its gaffes, and of course, those commenting on social media took notice.

Below is a list of some of the more cringe-worthy moments from Emmy Sunday.

Word Game of Thrones

If only Kit Harington’s name was as easy to spell as his character’s, Jon Snow.

The “Game of Thrones” star was nominated for the best supporting actor in a drama award. When it was the time for his name to come up, the on-air graphic misspelled his last name. It’s Harington with only one “r,” not two. “Thrones” fans were not happy to see Harington snubbed twice in one night: first by the mistake, and second by the Academy (“Bloodline’s” Ben Mendelsohn took »

68th Primetime Emmy Award Winners List

19 September 2016 1:44 PM, PDT | LatinoReview | See recent LatinoReview news »

Last night was the 68th Primetime Emmy Awards, where the television academy takes the time to recognize some of the greatest accomplishments in the industry for the past season. Not surprisingly, the show that came out on top this year was none other than Game of Thrones, a show that seemingly only gets stronger and stronger as time goes on (despite the absence of source material at this point).

This also marked the year that Game of Thrones surpassed Frasier for the record total of Emmys won during a show run. Frasier previously held the record with 37 wins, and with two seasons left, Game of Thrones has secured the title with 38 wins, a record it's sure to barrel over over the course of the next couple seasons.

Below is the list of nominees and winners for several major categories at this year's Emmys!

American Horror Story Round Table: My Roanoke Nightmare

After months of speculation, American Horror Story Season 6 Episode 1 finally revealed what the sixth season of the anthology horror series would be all about: Roanoke, a.k.a. the Lost Colony!

On the season premiere, we met our presumed main characters Shelby and Matt, a married couple who move to rural North Carolina from Los Angeles and begin to experience eerie and unnerving events in and around their new, isolated home.

The story is still shrouded in mystery, so we still don't have much idea where this story will go – but it's certainly piqued our collective interest!

Below, TV Fanatics Paul Dailly, Amanda Steinmetz, and Yana Grebenyuk react to the unique new docuseries-style format, the season theme reveal, and the scariest moments of the premiere.

What do you think of the double-casting – two actors playing the "Irl" and dramatic reenactment versions of Shelby, Matt, and Lee? Any preferences for one group over the other? »

Emmy Awards: HBO Battles FX, Surprises Abound, and Plenty of Trump Jokes

HBO, accustomed to being the undisputed Emmys champ in recent years, found itself in the unusual position of sharing the title Sunday night. FX Networks earned six awards at the Primetime Emmys, matching HBO’s tally for the evening. FX’s surge came largely on the back of anthology series “The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” the evening’s most honored show.

Counting last weekend’s Creative Arts Emmys, HBO held onto the top spot, thanks to another record-breaking haul for “Game of Thrones.” The best drama series winner passed “Frasier” as the most decorated scripted series in Emmy history, with 38 wins. With 12 Emmys this year, the show tied its record from 2015 for most wins by a show in a single season.

The HBO-fx split was one of several surprises Sunday night, among them Rami Malek of USA’s “Mr. Robot” winning the award for best actor — his first nomination in the show’s »

Before winning the Emmy for Lead Actress in a Drama Series on Sunday evening, Orphan Black’s Tatiana Maslany imagined that giving an acceptance speech on stage would be “terrifying.”

Nervous as Maslany was on Emmy night, she was also glad for the distraction, knowing that “once we start »

Though Frranz and Smits' appearance to present the final award — Outstanding Drama Series, to Emmy steamroller Game of Thrones, which tied its own record from last year for the most Emmys for a series in a single year with 12 (many of them presented last week at the Creative Arts Emmy ceremonies) — provided one last surprising and delightful moment in an Emmy telecast largely full of them. 11 of Jimmy Kimmel's Best One-Liners From the Emmys

While sometimes attending award shows can make you a target for some mean-spirited hosts, the 2016 Emmy Awards audience was in safe hands with Jimmy Kimmel. This year's host did crack wise about some of the high-profile people up for awards, but for the most part, his opening monologue was pretty tame. Though at times he may have made things a little awkward (Bill Cosby humor, anyone?), everything was in good fun. Here are Kimmel's best quotes from the whole show - plus a note from Kimmel's mom. "This must be very strange, are you rooting for O.J. this time?" - To the real Marcia Clark "Hi Jon Snow, you're my freebie, you know." - Hitting on Kit Harington "The Emmys are so diverse this year that the Oscars are now telling people that they're one of our best friends - they're not, by the way." - Commenting on the »

‘The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story’ Wins Best Limited Series

“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story,” one of the season’s best-reviewed and most buzzed-about shows, won a much-anticipated Emmy for outstanding limited series Sunday night. The Ryan Murphy-produced drama beat a formidable field that included another highly lauded FX project, “Fargo,” as well as ABC’s “American Crime,” AMC’s “The Night Manager,” and History’s “Roots.”

Crime Story,” along with the highly regarded Espn documentary “O.J.: Made in America,” sparked a renewed media interest earlier this year in the 1995 O.J. Simpson murder trial. With a star-studded cast that included John Travolta, Cuba Gooding Jr., Sterling K. Brown, Courtney B. Vance, Nathan Lane, and David Schwimmer, “Crime Story” earned rave reviews — in particular for longtime Murphy collaborator Sarah Paulson’s turn as prosecutor Marcia Clark.

Brown, Paulson and Vance won acting awards portraying Chris Darden, Marcia Clark and Johnnie Cochrane, respectively.
