The Russos tease mass destruction with Avengers: Infinity War set photo

As we wait with bated breath for our first official glimpse at Avengers: Infinity War, directors Anthony and Joe Russo have taken to Twitter to tease a scene of mass destruction from the hotly-anticipated Marvel blockbuster (or perhaps its as-yet-untitled sequel). The image is somewhat vague, but we’d have to assume this is some kind of battleground where Earth’s Mightiest Heroes have went up against Thanos…

Disney's Live-Action Pinocchio Movie Loses Director Sam Mendes

Disney's Live-Action Pinocchio Movie Loses Director Sam Mendes
Disney's live-action Pinocchio movie is searching for a new director tonight, after filmmaker Sam Mendes backs out. Director Sam Mendes entered talks for Pinocchio back in May, but nearly six months later, the filmmaker has exited the project, although no reason for his departure is given. There is no indication if the studio has any top contenders in mind to replace Sam Mendes, but this new report claims Disney shouldn't have too hard a time finding a replacement, given the success of similar live-action adaptations in recent years.

Disney has been able to lure top-notch directorial talent into its stable with their growing slate of live-action adaptations, including Jon Favreau taking the helm on last year's hit The Jungle Book, and Bill Condon directing this year's Beauty and the Beast, currently the highest-grossing movie of the year. Director Tim Burton is currently shooting Dumbo for the studio and Guy Ritchie

Sebastian Stan talks about the difficulties of filming Avengers: Infinity War

Avengers: Infinity War is being touted as one of the biggest, and most impressive comic book films ever made. We have heard this repeatedly from the cast, crew, and head of Marvel Studios Kevin Feige himself, and while we still don’t have a trailer to chew on, we do have yet another cast member talking about the filming process for Avengers: Infinity War. Recently speaking at the Rhode Island Comic Con, Sebastian Stan discussed the difficulties of filming such a massive, and daunting project (via

“It’s not something you always deal with. I feel like you always kind of have a script. But I guess, what I would say is, because we’ve done these characters for a bit now, there’s a little bit of a telepathic kind of knowledge between us and the writers. And you kind of can sometimes guess where they’re going to take it,

Dark Universe: the undignified death of a cinematic universe

Ryan Lambie Nov 14, 2017

It's fair to say that The Mummy didn't ignite the multi-movie franchise expected of it. We look at the death of the Dark Universe...

Nb: The following contains spoilers for 2017's The Mummy.

See related  Star Wars: Rogue One review Star Wars: Rogue One - what did you think?

For some, The Mummy's marketing campaign began not with a bang, but a squeaky Tom Cruise scream. In December 2016, an unfinished trailer for the then-forthcoming film appeared online, and soon went viral: lacking music and proper sound effects, the promo's otherwise dramatic visuals suddenly seemed comically threadbare. A violent plane crash unfolded with only a few chunks of dialogue and an amusing yelp from co-star Annabelle Wallis; Tom Cruise stumbled about in zero-gravity with only a few apologetic 'oofs' and 'eeks' for company.

Steps were taken to have the leaked trailer removed, but as is the way of the web,

Marvel’s Kevin Feige found Avengers: Infinity War an “emotional” experience

The Marvel Cinematic Universe celebrates its 10th anniversary in style next year as it brings together the majority of its characters for the superhero epic Avengers: Infinity War, and during an interview with Collider, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige has been describing the “emotional” experience of seeing the entire McU coming together.

“It is overwhelming,” said Feige. “I guess what has surprised me is how emotional it all is. Every day, every dailies, every time an actor that has never interacted with a character comes in contact with a character they’ve never interacted with, it’s amazing. It’s both funny, it’s moving and just seeing all those people together in one spot is—you know me, I like to look ahead. I like to focus on, I’m already in Black Panther world, even though we’re talking about Ragnarok. We keep going. There is something very

Review: ‘Murder on the Orient Express’ is a Polite Adaptation That Steers Off-Course

Sherlock Holmes was successfully given the cinematic and television treatment this last century, both of which been met with hardcore followings and a renewed appetite for the old-school whodunit. Benedict Cumberbatch and Robert Downey Jr.’s Sherlocks were both oddly different interpretations of the famous detective, but the fresh and personal touch both actors brought to the characters made them likably inventive.

However, Agatha Christie’s Belgian detective, Hercule Poirot, equally legendary to Holmes–at least in my book–has not been given the same treatment in recent popular culture. So, it was with great anticipation that Kenneth Branagh has adapted what might just be Christie’s most famous novel, “Murder on the Orient Express.” The cast assembled for this cinematic affair is justifiably impressive, with Branagh himself playing the crucial role of Poirot as he interrogates his way through a steaming train, looking for a murderer.

Branagh, a thespian

Avengers 4 could see the return of dead McU characters

Not content with bringing back virtually every character still breathing in the Marvel Cinematic Universe for Avengers: Infinity War and its as-yet-untitled sequel, it seems that Marvel Studios and the Russos may be throwing a few deceased ones into the mix too.

There’s already been rumours that Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter could feature (although that could also be in Ant-Man and the Wasp) in Avengers 4, and now Robert Downey Jr. has sparked speculation that Frank Grillo’s Brock Rumlow / Crossbones and Maximiliano Hernandez’s Jasper Sitwell could feature in the film, with both actors appearing in a photo shared by Downey at a charity event in Atlanta.

Now, it’s possible that both Grillo and Hernandez were just visiting friends, but Grillo has recently revealed that Marvel has plans for his character, and we already know that Avengers 4 will feature a flashback to the first Avengers movie, so

James Toback, First-Hand: One Accuser Shares Her Story Using Her Diary and a Sketch
On October 22, after reading Glenn Whipp’s incendiary James Toback investigation in the La Times, Becky Wahlstrom scoured her journals. A veteran actress whose credits include “Joan of Arcadia” and “Mad Men,” she was 23 when she wrote a seven-and-a-half page entry on August 13, 1998 that described meeting Toback at the Beverly Hills Hotel for approximately five hours the night before.

Ostensibly, it was an audition for his film “Black and White”; Toback requested the meeting after seeing her deliver two lines in Don Roos’ “The Opposite of Sex.” She went to the audition without sides; she loved the idea that Toback liked to build his roles around his actors, a philosophy she embraced while studying at the Piven Theatre Workshop in Chicago.

Crossbones to Return in Avengers 4?
Marvel's highly-anticipated Avengers 4 continues production in Atlanta, with the latest set photos revealing that Thor's long hair is now back, after the events of Thor: Ragnarok. Earlier today, though, star Robert Downey Jr. sent out a new photo on Instagram, from a local Atlanta theater where the star and several of his Avengers co-stars are putting on a one-night-only production of the iconic play Our Town. Robert Downey Jr. himself will be starring in this production, along with Mark Ruffalo and Scarlett Johansson and a host of unnamed local actors, but perhaps the biggest surprise in this photo is that it also features Frank Grillo, which could mean the actor is bringing his Crossbones character back from the dead.

Frank Grillo only appeared in two McU movies as Brock Rumlow, a.k.a. Crossbones, but he certainly did make an impact with the scenes he was given. We last saw

Chris Hemsworth Confirms Avengers: Infinity War Spoiler

Spoilers to follow…

If you’ve seen Thor: Ragnarok by now – which, you probably have – you’ll know that the God of Thunder has a pretty transformative character arc in the movie. Not only is his trusty hammer Mjolnir destroyed near the film’s beginning, but Thor loses an eye in the final battle with Hela, the Goddess of Death, and during Ragnarok‘s last scenes, we see that he’s donned a swanky eye patch that mirrors his father Odin’s.

This came as a shock to fans, as it’s a twist that’s been cleverly hidden in the trailers, with certain shots from the climax of the film being altered so as to reinsert Thor’s missing eye. The same goes for the footage shown of Avengers: Infinity War at this past summer’s San Diego Comic-Con, in which Thor went sans patch. We were left uncertain,

Evidence Mounts For Crossbones Cameo In Avengers 4

Much like Ant-Man and the Wasp before it, the so-far untitled Avengers 4 is nearing the end of principal photography.

Joe and Anthony Russo’s mystery sequel initially stepped in front of the cameras back in August, when the filmmaking duo was just putting the final touches to Avengers: Infinity War – look for that one to premiere in May of 2018. But now that the finish line is in sight, and rampant fans continue to pore over every Marvel-related set photo on the Internet, Cbm has today uncovered the latest Instagram post from Robert Downey Jr. (Tony Stark/Iron Man), which may well be hiding a story clue in plain sight.

The Phase One Avenger recently hosted a charity event at Atlanta’s Fox Theater, and the guest list was a suitably star-studded affair. Not only did it include Mark Ruffalo (Thor: Ragnarok) and Black Widow actress Scarlett Johansson, but there was also room for Frank Grillo,

Over the weekend, a few unexpected stars showed up in Thor: Ragnarok. And no, it wasn't a surprise appearances from Robert Downey Jr. or Chris Pratt.

Robert Downey Jr. Spotted In Swat Gear On Avengers 4 Set

If Avengers 4 is to feature a flashback to the Battle of New York, then Marvel isn’t exactly doing a good job of hiding it.

In the past few days alone, Just Jared and a handful of other people have captured photos from the sequel’s bustling Atlanta set, which revealed Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Hemsworth rolling back the years – the former was spotted wearing a very familiar Black Sabbath T-shirt, while Marvel’s God of Thunder suddenly regained those luscious locks. Not to mention we also saw some pics of Loki looking just like he did circa 2012.

So, it’s fair to say that there will most definitely be a flashback scene, then, but the latest batch of set snaps have now thrown even more questions into the mix. That’s because they feature Rdj in what appears to be Swat gear. Why Tony Stark would be dressed
