Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie in latest Star Wars: Episode VII set photos

Well, it looks like all of those “scoops” about Adam Driver and Gwendoline Christie playing bad guys in Star Wars: Episode VII were wide of the mark, as the pair have appeared in the latest batch of set photos from the hotly-anticipated sequel depicting the base of the Rebel Alliance, which show Driver wearing X-Wing pilot clothes, and Christie presumably as some kind of Alliance officer. Take a look courtesy of Rick Lawrence (via Cbm)…

Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3Po), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), Domhnall Gleeson (Dredd), John Boyega (Attack the Block), Daisy Ridley (Silent Witness), Gwendoline Christie (Game of Thrones), Lupita »

Daniel Craig reportedly films a secret role in Star Wars: Episode VII

13 hours ago | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Chalk this one up firmly as a rumour – especially considering its source is the UK tabloid The Sun – but it seems that Daniel Craig (Skyfall) may have shot a secret cameo appearance in Star Wars: Episode VII. Craig reportedly begged director J.J. Abrams for a role in the hotly-anticipated sequel, saying that he’d be happy to have his face hidden, and apparently shot the part this week at Pinewood, where he was spotted with Carrie Fisher. However, a more likely scenario is that Craig was at Pinewood for pre-production on Bond 24, which is set to begin filming this December.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3Po), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis), Andy Serkis »

Mark Ruffalo wants to be in Star Wars: Episode VIII

14 September 2014 2:15 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

With the possibility of a new Incredible Hulk movie and TV series on the horizon (if you ask Lou Ferrigno anyway), Bruce Banner himself Mark Ruffalo may find himself being busy over the next year or so. But that hasn’t stopped the actor from dreaming about other roles. In fact, he’s looking to head to a galaxy far, far away – but not with J.J. Abrams for Star Wars: Episode VII and instead with Rian Johnson and Star Wars: Episode VIII.

In an interview with Collider about his upcoming movie Infinitely Polar Bear, Ruffalo said that he has reached out personally to Rian Johnson saying he’s “desperate” for a role in Star Wars: Episode VIII. The actor said, “my e-mail to Rian after all these years was ‘Rian, congratulations on everything you’ve been doing. And by the way, if there’s a part in Star Wars, please, »

Greg Grunberg Says He Has A Role In Star Wars: Episode VII

13 September 2014 10:07 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Lens flares and frustrating “mystery boxes” aren’t the only things that constantly pop up in the filmography of J.J. Abrams. Another thing that appears quite often is Heroes and Masters of Sex actor Greg Grunberg, a childhood friend of Abrams’ who has shown up in almost all of the director’s cinematic works to date.

He’s had roles in Felicity and Alias, played Oceanic Flight 815 pilot Seth Norris in the Lost pilot, is in Mission: Impossible III, and even has small cameos in both Super 8 and Star Trek. He was, however, noticeably absent from Star Trek Into Darkness, which wasn’t very well received by fans…. That can’t be a coincidence, can it?!

Now it looks like the working relationship between Abrams and Grunberg will extend beyond our galaxy and into a famous one far, far away, as according to Grunberg himself, he has a role »

Earlier this month, Star Wars Episode VII cast Game of Thrones actor Miltos Yerolemou.

J.J. Abrams casts his pal Greg Grunberg in Star Wars: Episode VII

12 September 2014 2:11 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

It looks like J.J. Abrams has cast his childhood pal Greg Gunberg in the eagerly-anticipated sequel Star Wars: Episode VII, with the Heroes and Masters of Sex star taking to Twitter to reveal that he has a role in the film, stating that, “If I say more than that, Jj will have me killed.” The two have worked together extensively in the past, with Grunberg featuing in Felicity and Alias, as well as appearing in minor roles in Lost, Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek and Super 8. Presumably, his part in Episode VII will follow suit, and is likely little more than a cameo.

Star Wars: Episode VII is set for release on December 18th 2015 and sees returning stars Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), Harrison Ford (Han Solo), Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), Anthony Daniels (C-3Po), Kenny Baker (R2-D2) and Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca) joined by Adam Driver (Girls), Oscar Isaac (Inside Llewyn Davis »

J.J. Abrams’ Latest Star Wars Episode VII Photo Teases A Villainous Location

11 September 2014 8:21 AM, PDT | HeyUGuys.co.uk | See recent HeyUGuys news »

J.J. Abrams has made no secret of the fact that he’s a fan of Apple, and though the tongue in cheek note he released via Twitter after they unveiled the iPhone 6 and the Apple Watch doesn’t reveal much, what we see a glimpse of in the background does offer some intriguing Star Wars Episode VII hints!

There have been many rumours about the movie so far, including the fact that the Empire will still play a role in the Galaxy despite the fact that Darth Vader and The Emperor fell at the end of Return of the Jedi.

Could it be that they’ve built another Death Star? Well, the lights in the background certainly point to it being a possibility as they’re near identical to those we saw in that iconic orbital battle station (as you can see in the image above from Star Wars Episode »

Millennium Falcon and X-Wing spotted on Star Wars Episode VII set

While out taking photos for his job at Airbourne Aviation flying club, Matthew Myatt snapped an image supposedly from the set of Star Wars: Episode VII – by complete accident!

“I didn’t know it was there, and we flew down and did some orbits,” Mr. Myatt said. “It was based around the old cruise missile silo. It wasn’t until I got back last night and started going through the images that it just jumped out at me. I was quite stunned. It was like, ‘wow’. That’s how the picture came about, purely by luck. I had to go and grab my son who’s a big Star Wars fan and get him to come and look at the picture and pinch me and make sure I’d seen what I’d seen. It was one of those unbelievable moments.”

J.J. Abrams teases return of the Empire in Star Wars: Episode VII

10 September 2014 1:30 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Filming for Star Wars: Episode VII has been going on for a few months now, and throughout the shoot director J.J. Abrams has teased us several times by writing notes on a piece of card with something of note usually visible in the background. This time it is less obvious but his latest tease hints at the return of the Empire in Episode VII…

The message reads ‘Why do I suddenly have this desperate need to own a watch?! Damn you Apple!!! Jj’. This has no real clear significance to Star Wars but the background shows identical décor to what we saw in the Death Star. Many fans will recognise this, but here is a photo from Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope tshowing the design of the lights…

There has already been some leaks suggesting that the Empire will be making a return. Kevin Smith revealed that »

Star Wars: Episode VII Set Pics Reveal Life-Sized Millenium Falcon and X-Wing Ships

10 September 2014 8:38 AM, PDT | Collider.com | See recent Collider.com news »

I'm almost shocked that there isn't restricted air space around the Star Wars: Episode VII set, such is the intensity of director J.J. Abrams' desire for secrecy.  But even Abrams doesn't have that kind of clout, and so now we have some overhead pics that got snagged by a local flying school.  And they detail what look to be like life-size models of the Millenium Falcon and a (tarp covered) X-Wing fighter. So, just in case you were in doubt about those ships' presence in the film after all of the prior evidence, don't be. 'Star Wars' Uncut Cantina Scene Reveals Never-Before-Seen Footage

5 September 2014 5:08 PM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

With Star Wars: Episode VII currently in production, fans will have to wait another year and three months to see this highly-anticipated sequel in theaters. However, if you're craving some new footage from a galaxy far, far away, then you're in luck. Trailer Addict has posted what they call the "official unedited Cantina scene" from Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope that featured never-before-seen footage, including Han Solo (Harrison Ford) getting close with a female companion before meeting Luke (Mark Hamill) and Obi-Wan (Alec Guinness).

However, the footage is rather raw, with some bits of sound missing, including the infamous Cantina Band tune, along with sound effects, and the footage has not been color corrected. Still, it's well worth watching to see some of the creatures in the Cantina that weren't in the final cut, along with alternate dialogue in the Han/Greedo confrontation and Han praising Obi-Wan's handiwork with the light saber. »
