Watch: Trailer For 'Broken Horses' Starring Anton Yelchin, James Cameron Calls It An "Artistic Triumph"

19 December 2014 12:20 PM, PST | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

Out of the blue, Fox Star India just dropped the teaser for “Broken Horses,” and with it endorsements from James Cameron and Alfonso Cuarón. 62-year-old Indian filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra wrote, produced and directed the film starring an (almost) exclusively Anglo- and American- cast (Vincent D'Onofrio, Anton Yelchin, Chris Marquette, Maria Velverde, Sean Patrick Flanery and Thomas Jane) in his first Hollywood directorial feature after decades of working within the Hindi film world. While the teaser has breakneck pacing, we’re not talking Transformers-level editing. Every clip escalates with action without failing to tease its characters but not giving away too much about the plot. So far, we know that it’s about two brothers getting in trouble/causing trouble on the Mexico border. The Times of India described a film “(about a) relationship between two brothers —a concert-level violinist and a hired mercenary— and is set against the drug war in the. »

Guardians of the Galaxy star Chris Pratt is going from saving the universe alongside a talking raccoon and a sentient tree to saving a park full of tourists with the help of his own trained pack of roving raptors in Jurassic World. While we saw the actor riding his motorcycle through the jungle at night with these domesticated dinosaurs at his side in the first teaser trailer, we now get an official photo to commemorate the moment.

Jurassic World is featured in this week's issue of Entertainement Weekly. The magazine is previewing 2015's upcoming slate of new TV series and movies. Part of their coverage finds director Colin Trevorrow revealing a few facts about the new dinosaur that was teased in the sneak peek footage. Built from the DNA of a number of different animal species, this monstrosity dubbed D-Rex is not actually a dinosaur at all, claims Trevorrow:

'Jurassic World' Photo Has Chris Pratt with His Pet Raptor

Just a few weeks after the first trailer for Jurassic World was finally released, fans are still craving more from this highly-anticipated sequel, which is set 22 years after Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. Director Colin Trevorrow took a break from the editing room earlier today, revealing a new photo featuring Chris Pratt alongside one of his dinosaur co-stars. He also "warned" fans not to "try this at home," so if you have a live dinosaur at your house, you probably shouldn't take photos with the prehistoric creature and Chris Pratt.

The filmmaker revealed last month that Chris Pratt plays a dinosaur trainer named Owen at the massive Jurassic World resort, which has been open since 2005 and attracts millions of visitors every year. He also teased that Owen and Bryce Dallas Howard's Claire have "combative chemistry" throughout the film, and that Owen's relationship with the raptors he trains is "complicated. »

TV Shows We Can't Wait for in 2015

16 December 2014 12:30 AM, PST | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

If it were up to us, every season would be TV season. No more 10, 16, or 22-episode batches at a time - just 52 blissful weeks of new content from our favorite shows. But, alas, that's not how it works. We can pretend that the wait just makes us appreciate the shows more when they air, but in this world of instant gratification it really just makes us impatient. Here are 15 shows we're particularly excited/impatient/desperate to see return or premiere in 2015.

"The Walking Dead"

The first season of "The Walking Dead" only had six episodes, so we should be grateful to get eight episodes of Season 5 from October-November 2014 and eight more again when Twd returns from February-March. Plus, there's a "companion series" coming at some point in 2015 as well. And we are grateful - when we're not whining about the wait. How will Maggie Greene, Daryl Dixon and company react »

'Jurassic World' Star Reveals Story and Character Details

11 December 2014 8:15 AM, PST | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Shortly after the first trailer was released last month for Jurassic World, director Colin Trevorrow offered a detailed breakdown of the first footage. That breakdown revealed that Irrfan Khan's character, Masrani, is the park's new owner, whose company Masrani Global bought Jurassic Park from InGen and re-opened the attraction in 2005. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Irrfan Khan offered new story and character details, revealing that Masrani is rather flamboyant, but not that wise.

"I'm playing the park owner, a very flamboyant person. When the first Jurassic Park came out, I barely had the money to see it and now I'm playing a part. He's trying to entertain the world with good intentions, but sometimes being flamboyant doesn't mean having much wisdom."

When asked how this new sequel compares to the original Jurassic Park, which was directed by Steven Spielberg, the actor revealed that this long-awaited follow-up speaks to our technologically-advanced society. »

Dinosaur fever is spreading throughout the nation after the first trailer for Jurassic World debuted earlier this week, along with new details from director Colin Trevorrow yesterday. Today, Universal Pictures has updated the official website for this highly-anticipated adventure, which includes a viral video and photos of a few of the different dinosaurs. The viral video is essentially an advertisement for the Isla Nublar Hilton resort, showcasing the numerous amenities this hotel and resort has to offer.

The website itself is chocked full of tidbits, some of which reference the original 1993 classic, Jurassic Park. The park features a restaurant named Winston's, a reference to the late Stan Winston, who designed the dinosaur animatronics for the original Jurassic Park. If you look at the restaurant's menu, the top right entree is the Chilean Sea Bass, the same meal that the original Jurassic Park characters had before going on their mission. There »

Fans got an early Thanksgiving treat yesterday, when the first trailer for Jurassic World was released, two days earlier than its previously-scheduled debut during NBC's NFL football game on Thursday. The first footage was received with mixed reactions, as several fans expressed their displeasure with the amount of obvious CGI footage used, including the shot where the massive gate into the park is revealed. Director Colin Trevorrow took to his Twitter account shortly after the trailer debuted to address these concerns, confirming that the opening gate was actually built on set.

The shot in question, where the Jurassic World gate is opened to let in hundreds of new visitors, was created specifically for the trailer. Colin Trevorrow revealed that this will look different in the finished film, which still has nearly seven months of post-production work left before the June 12, 2015 release date.
