Julianne Hough In Talks For Nicholas Sparks Adaptation Safe Haven

18 May 2012 12:02 PM, PDT | cinemablend.com | See recent Cinema Blend news »

As someone who became famous for dancing on America's most insane television show-- that would be Dancing With the Stars, of course-- Julianne Hough seemed destined to have one of those movie careers that's an instant punchline, like that time Cindy Crawford tried acting. And yet in her first starring role in Footloose, Hough was a surprisingly appealing presence as the rebellious preacher's daughter Ariel, and her performance was one of the many things that made the movie far more enjoyable than it could have been. Now she's taking that onscreen charisma into two very different roles, as part of the musical Rock of Ages and then Diablo Cody's upcoming directorial debut. After that she's now planning to take the pit stop that virtually every up and coming actress has at one point or another: the Nicholas Sparks movie. Variety reports that she's in talks to star in Safe Haven, »

Note: Do not read on if you have not seen the first night of the Season 2 finale of NBC's "The Voice," which aired Monday, May 7.

It's not that hard to say goodbye to a reality competition when your favorites are gone (We miss you, Jamar, Erin and Katrina), but Christina Milian is not quite done saying "trending on Twitter," Carson Daly's hand is permanently stuck in microphone-holding position and Cee Lo has a couple more Purrfect tees to try out so we understand the purpose this final performance night of "The Voice" serves. Plus, they did a hilarious promo shoot that involves stern glances and wind machines so they gotta show them somewhere.

On the last night before the winner of "The Voice" Season 2 is revealed, there are a few things we learn during Carson's particularly extended intro before any performances begin (i.e. 10 minutes we wish we could »

How'd they do? Team Blake Former Alicia Keys backup singer Jermaine Paul sang "I Believe I Can Fly" by R. Kelly. Cindy Crawford models with daughter Kaia Gerber for JCPenney -- wasn't she against it?

5 May 2012 12:10 AM, PDT | Pop2it | See recent Pop2it news »

Supermodel Cindy Crawford must have made a deal with some magical creature. She doesn't appear to have aged a day since her modeling heyday in the eighties. Her mom and her daughter Kaia Gerber are equally as gorgeous, as seen in the below video ad for JCPenney.

In the video, Gerber says of Crawford,"She's the best mom in the world. She's so nice and I can just hang out with her and have fun." Now that is beyond adorable. It's a lovely video, but surprising, since Crawford recently pulled the plug on her daughter's modeling career.

Crawford's daughter is only 10. She had been part of the Young Versace campaign. Crawford tells Daily Front Row, "At this point, she's too young to pursue a career. There aren't even a handful of jobs for a 10-year-old girl. But if she's 17 and wants to try it...of course, what can I say? »

Vogue Bans Twiggy Models, Promotes Health

3 May 2012 4:15 PM, PDT | Entertainment Tonight | See recent Entertainment Tonight news »

Vogue magazine is reportedly turning a new page, promoting healthy living by making a pact to no longer employ emaciated models for their pages.

According to The Associated Press, the 19 editors of Vogue have agreed to "not knowingly work with models under the age of 16 or who appear to have an eating disorder."

Models' sizes have long been controversial. The point gained more traction in 2006 and 2007 following the death of two models that were believed to have suffered complications from eating disorders.

As the foremost influence on the fashion world, Vogue's new commitment could revolutionize the business, which has grown accustomed to using models barely in their teens.

"Most editions of Vogue regularly hire models who are minors, so for Vogue to commit to no longer using models under the age of 16 marks an evolution in the industry," said Sara Ziff, a model who »

Watch: Frasier's Surprising Celebrity Callers

9 April 2012 6:42 AM, PDT | Huffington Post | See recent Huffington Post news »

Did you know that most of the radio call-ins on 90s sitcom "Frasier" were actually big celebrities? Thanks to this video that was first posted on Reddit and went viral over the weekend, a lot more people probably do.

The many folks who phoned into Frasier's radio show with various degrees of mental illness weren't just Hollywood voice-over actors. They were actually Christopher Reeve, Art Garfunkel, John Lithgow, Matthew Broderick, Ray Liotta, Ron Howard, Bill Paxton, Helen Mirren, little Hillary Duff (you can hear her at the very end) and more.

Watch out for Macaulay Culkin calling in as a man mocked for his childlike voice, Roz hitting on Kevin Bacon and Cindy Crawford calling in as "Bill," who is undergoing a certain "transition." As the YouTube description points out: "Bonus: Watch Him Age"
