Action star Jackie Chan has injured his chest while shooting movie sequel Rush Hour 3. The Hong Kong actor was hit with a steel-reinforced wooden table, just months after he was kicked in the same place while shooting Rob-B-Hood. No bones were broken and Chan fought through the pain with the help of medication and by strapping a stunt belt across his upper chest. He says, "I was in a lot of pain because it was in the same spot where I had gotten hurt during the filming of Rob-B-Hood." »

Action superstar Jackie Chan has apologized and asked for forgiveness after getting drunk and jumping on stage at a concert on Sunday. Chan was attending a performance by Taiwanese singer/songwriter Jonathan Lee when he unexpectedly took to the stage, starting swearing and hassling the band and Lee. Chan's pop star son Jaycee Chan, who counts Lee as musical inspiration, has also repeatedly apologized for his father's bizarre behavior. A rather embarrassed Rush Hour star later admitted to leading Hong Kong radio show host Candy Chea that he was drunk when he jumped on stage, explaining that he "forgot there were so many people watching." Chea, revealed their conservation on her show yesterday, saying, "But Chan also said this was his first time, and it had never happened before." »

Action star Jackie Chan reportedly leaped on stage during a concert in his native Hong Kong while under the influence of alcohol. The actor had been invited to attend the performance by Taiwanese singer/songwriter Jonathan Lee on Sunday by the singer himself, but unexpectedly took to the stage and disrupted the show by hurling insults at the crowd - reports the Ming Pao Daily News. The newspaper claims Chan told the crowd he was drunk and wanted to sing a duet with Lee. The Rush Hour star also attempted to conduct the band, but only managed to start and stop them several times. Chan's spokesman, Solon So, has refused to comment. »

Jolie Takes on First Film Role Since Birth

Angelina Jolie is re-teaming with Jack Black for her first film role since giving birth to daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt in May. The Oscar-winner will join Black, Dustin Hoffman, Jackie Chan, Lucy Liu and Ian McShane for the animated comedy Kung Fu Panda. Jolie and Black also voiced characters in 2004's animated movie Shark Tale. Black will play Po The Panda, who slings noodles in a restaurant and loves kung fu, but doesn't have the body required for practicing the martial art. Jolie will provide the voice of a martial-arts master named Tigress, who must get the panda into fighting form after it is revealed he is the "Chosen One" to save the animals. The movie is scheduled for release in May 2008. »

'Rush Hour' Stars Head to Paris

Chris Tucker, Jackie Chan and director Brett Ratner are all heading to Paris, France, this summer to film the second Rush Hour sequel. Rush Hour 2 grossed nearly $350 million worldwide, prompting the two lead actors to demand blockbuster salaries to return - Chris Tucker will receive $20 million, while Jackie Chan will pocket $15 million. New Line film production president Toby Emmerich says, "The first two Rush Hour films have become pop-culture classics, and we are confident that the third one will deliver the trademark mix of great action and big laughs." Rush Hour 3 is scheduled for a summer 2007 release. »

Chan Struggles with Injury

Kung Fu king Jackie Chan is struggling to complete filming of his new film Rob-B-Hood, because he is still in pain from chest injuries he sustained after a stunt went wrong last week. The 51-year-old Rush Hour star was hurt when a stuntman wearing incorrect shoes kicked him in the chest. Chan was checked over by doctors and was given an x-ray which showed a damaged cartilage although no bones had been broken. He says, "It's still swollen. It really hurts. Breathing hurts. It hurts to draw my fist. It's been hard filming fight scenes these past two days." »
