Where's Carrie Bradshaw's tutu?
Sex and the City star Sarah Jessica Parker posted a video to Instagram on Friday that was obtained by Entertainment Weekly of what almost was the opening sequence to the hit HBO series. The opening that fans know and love shows Carrie (Parker) walking down a New York City street wearing a pink tank top and white tutu, but as she starts to find her stride, a bus -- which happens to have a huge ad with Carrie's face on it, promoting her Sex and the City column -- pulls into a puddle and splashes her.
“Lost footage. The alternate and never used title sequence from "Satc" A really nice memory,” Parker captioned the clip.
The alternate opener plays out a little differently, right down to the outfit. Carrie again is walking down the street, but this time »
No one was clamoring for a remake of 1987’s “Mannequin,” but James Corden and Victoria Beckham made it happen anyway. The two collaborated on a trailer for the non-existent updated version of the Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall cult classic. Oh, and they also fit in some Spice Girls “Carpool Karaoke,” so there’s that. Watch the video above. The former Spice Girl appeared alongside the CBS funnyman in a mock trailer for Mannequin, a “reboot” of the 1987 film starring Andrew McCarthy and Kim Cattrall. In the clip, Beckham takes a drive with Corden, paving the way for a brief duet on the 1997 Spice Girls hit “Spice Up Your Life.”

Victoria Beckham and James Corden put a hilarious new spin on “Carpool Karaoke” on Thursday’s Late Late Show! “Victoria and I have the oddest thing in common,” Corden announced. “We are both huge fans of the ‘80s movie Mannequin.” Such big fans are the British stars of the 1987 Andrew McCarthy-Kim Cattrall film, in fact, […] »
James Corden put a fun twist on "Carpool Karaoke" Thursday night. The Late Late Show host and fashion designer Victoria Beckham filmed an '80s movie parody that—for a brief but wonderful moment—featured one of his show's most popular segments. Didn't see Kim Cattrall's camp classic Mannequin? Allow the narrator to explain the premise: "He was a talk show host, and she was a mannequin who turned his world upside down. To everyone else, he's a disaster. The world couldn't understand their love. Like, really couldn't understand their love. No, seriously—they didn't get it. Their love wasn't meant for this world." Beckham—whose only »

Beckham, of course, stepped in for the Cattrall role, playing a mannequin that comes to life, but only Corden’s character can see her. Everyone else just thinks the late night host has lost his mind and is romancing a dress form with a wig.

Sarah Jessica Parker trolled Attorney General Jeff Sessions with an Instagram post on Thursday that perfectly channeled Carrie Bradshaw. The actress posted a photo of her “Sex and the City” character hard at work on a New York Star piece. She completed the meme with the following written words: “I couldn’t help but wonder … had the Russian ambassador been meeting with everybody but me?” Can’t you just hear 1999 Manhattan’s most fashionable columnist performing that voiceover? At least Samantha (Kim Cattrall) didn’t sleep with the dude (we hope). Also Read: Colbert Uncovers Jeff Sessions' Day Planner »

Let me start off by saying that sure, I can picture it more than Donald Trump, ba dum ching! But seriously, when I found out that Kim Cattrall joined the cast of Swedish detective series Modus for its second season taking on the role of the U.S. president who arrives in Stockholm for a state visit, I was a little shocked. “I am pleased to be joining the Modus production in their second season and am looking forward to spending time in Sweden, a country I have always wanted to visit,” said Cattrall. “As a fan of the great Swedish

It’s the dearest hope of every Manolo-wearing, Cosmopolitan-guzzling, serial-dating Sex and the City lover out there that one day, their four favorite ladies will reunite on-screen just one more time.
It’s a dream that’s been stoked by the cast members themselves – many times. They’ll bring our hopes up, and then they’ll come crashing down again. Sarah Jessica Parker will say there’s a chance, and then Chris Noth will say he’s done. Really, it’s like the Big-Carrie saga all over again.

Every week, IndieWire asks a select handful of film and TV critics two questions and publishes the results on Monday. (The answer to the second, “What is the best film in theaters right now?”, can be found at the end of this post.)
This week’s question: In dubious honor of “Fifty Shades Darker,” what is the most ridiculous sex scene from a movie?
Mark Harris (@MarkHarrisNYC), Vulture/Film Comment
I’m sure others will easily top this, but I always think of Sylvester Stallone and Sharon Stone in the terrible 1994 action film “The Specialist,” having laboriously glossy, oiled, carefully pube-concealing, solemn, positionally exhausting intercourse while mouthing tedious expository dialogue in a shower that appears to be the size of a studio apartment. The 90s were a boom time for bad movie sex, and this is Hall of Fame level in that so much money, time and effort has gone »

Now, seven years since the last release, there is circulating buzz that a third installment of the TV series-turned-movie could be made — but that comes as a surprise to Cattrall.

Agatha Christie’s The Witness for the Prosecution, adapted from her short story, first opened on October 28, 1953, at London’s Winter Garden Theatre. It was a hit, called “genius” by one critic and praised for its many twists, its bold portrayal of women and its surprise ending. Witness was published in book from the following year and in 1957 was adapted as a film starring Marlene Dietrich, Charles Laughton and Tyrone Power. Two television iterations followed, one in the UK, the other the Us. Buy buckle your seat belts for the latest version on Acorn TV. Kim Cattrall and Toby Jones...read more »

It's not that Kim Cattrall isn't game for a third Sex and the City, but the actress -- known for her Golden Globe-winning role as Samantha Jones on the hit HBO dramedy -- is nearly 20 years older than she was when the show first premiered in 1998.
Now 60, Cattrall says her interests lie in projects about women her age that aren't being made. Since 2014, she’s been co-producing and starring in the HBO Canada drama Sensitive Skin, playing Davina Jackson, a 50-something woman who struggles with aging. Cattrall also plays Emily French, a glamorous, well-off widow exploring the emotional cost of being a middle-aged woman in BBC One’s adaptation of the Agatha Christie short story The Witness for the Prosecution, premiering in the U.S. Monday, Jan. 30 on Acorn TV.
In a chat with Et, Cattrall opens up about taking on parts that "dispel" female convention, producing roles women that she says Hollywood isn't and the possibility »
Though Samantha Jones’s on-screen alter ego isn’t ruling it out entirely, she recognizes there are a few roadblocks standing in their way — namely, finding a story (and the time!) almost a decade after the last film wrapped.
“The hardest thing is, what would the story be?” Cattrall told People. “It’s been seven, eight years since we wrapped the last movie. Can we get everybody together? We’re all sort of scattered now.”
When it comes to her character, »

Kurt Russell is amazing. That’s all there really is to it, quite frankly. Hell, he’s so cool that when he gets cast in a Marvel superhero movie they decide he’s not going to play a superhero. He’s not even going to play a baddie. He’s going to play a planet! That’s right, a planet – in the eagerly awaited Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol.2 Russell will be playing Ego The Living Planet, and frankly there’s no greater compliment to one of the coolest men to have ever walked the earth.
Many readers however may not beaware of his galactic level of cool, however – even after an ice cold performance as Jimmy Harrell, rig supervisor and all-round good egg in Deepwater Horizon, out on 4k Uhd Blu-ray, Blu-ray and DVD on the 30th January courtesy of Lionsgate Home Entertainment.
