Billy Baldwin is publicly shaming his brother Stephen over his ongoing support of Donald Trump. Stephen, who took to Twitter earlier this month voicing his frustration for what he called biased, right-wing reporting by Anderson Cooper, has been vocal about his backing of the controversial Republican nominee throughout the entirety of the U.S. presidential race. “If […] »

Donald Trump Twitter Feud Threatens to Ruin the Baldwin Brothers’ Thanksgiving

28 October 2016 1:05 PM, PDT | The Wrap | See recent The Wrap news »

The Baldwin Brothers’ Thanksgiving plans are in danger of being snapped like a wishbone — and Donald Trump is at the center of the potential fracture. Stephen and Billy Baldwin are locked in a nasty public feud over the Gop presidential nominee’s candidacy, and it could be leading to a very un-festive Turkey Day. The nasty, holiday-threatening back-and-forth began earlier this month, when Trump cheerleader Stephen Baldwin accused the media, and CNN personality Anderson Cooper in particular, of bias against Trump. Newswire: The Baldwin brothers are going to war over Donald Trump

27 October 2016 5:32 PM, PDT | avclub.com | See recent The AV Club news »

It’s always a shame when brothers don’t get along—unless they’re the Baldwin brothers, in which case it’s super fun and great because they’re famous. Last week, we reported that Donald Trump supporter Stephen Baldwin isn’t a fan of his brother Alec’s impression of Trump on Saturday Night Live, dismissing it as “a little too nasty right now” and noting that he believes making jokes about the election in general isn’t very funny. Then, on the next episode of SNL, Alec’s Trump fired back with a phenomenal zinger about Stephen being “the best Baldwin brother.”

Now, Billy Baldwin has entered the fray, with an extensive Twitter exchange between him and Stephen from earlier this month making the rounds on social media as people realize they should’ve been paying more attention to Billy Baldwin this whole time. (That’s just how »

Metro.co.uk recently interviewed actor Kiefer Sutherland about the recently announced Flatliners remake. Sutherland confirmed that the remake is in fact a sequel to the original film which starred himself, Julia Roberts, William Baldwin, and Oliver Platt.

The original film revolved around a group of medical students, led by Sutherland's character, Nelson Wright, who would experiment by stopping their heartbeat to prove there is life after death.

On the idea of returning for the sequel he said:

"I play a professor at the medical university. It is never stated but it will probably be very clearly understood that I’m the same character I was in the original Flatliners but that I have changed my name and I’ve done some things to move on from the experiments that we were doing in the original film."

We already know that at least one of the key cast members from the original 1990 hit thriller "Flatliners" is coming back for Sony Pictures' upcoming remake - Kiefer Sutherland.

Today Sutherland has confirmed a suspected theory - that the film is not a remake but rather a sequel with him playing the same character of Nelson Wright. Speaking with Metro, he explained how the movie isn't so quick to reveal itself as taking place in the same universe as the original:

"I play a professor at the medical university. Flatliners Remake Is a Sequel Says Kiefer Sutherland

30 July 2016 10:25 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

It's true. Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed what many suspected the moment he signed on for Sony's upcoming Flatliners 'remake'. It will actually be a sequel to his original 1990 hit thriller. And he is playing the same character, though that is never specifically stated in the story itself. Instead, it is heavily implied.

Kiefer Sutherland says he will be back to play former medical student Nelson Wright a second time in what will essentially be a Flatliners reboot that turns this cult favorite into a franchise for a new audience. Speaking with Metro, he explained how the movie isn't so quick to reveal itself as taking place in the same universe as the original. But before things get really bad, original audiences will get the gist quite quickly that Nelson is back, tampering with the undead in ways he perhaps shouldn't be.

Flatliners Remake Brings Back Original Star Kiefer Sutherland

8 July 2016 8:14 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Back in March, we reported that a reboot of the 1990 sci-fi thriller Flatliners is gearing up to start filming this summer, with Ellen Page, Diego Luna and Nina Dobrev attached to star. It was never clear if the filmmakers had planned on reaching out to original cast members such as Kiefer Sutherland, Julia Roberts and Kevin Bacon, but today we have word that Kiefer Sutherland is closing his deal to co-star in the rebooted thriller. The deal isn't finalized yet, but the actor has committed to the project.

The original film followed a group of medical students and close friends who conduct experiments with near death experiences. Each one of them has their heart stopped before being revived instantly, which causes them to experience nightmarish visions of their childhood, reflecting either sins they have committed, or sins committed against them. Their unorthodox extracurricular studies have very dark consequences, as their supernatural visions begin to intensify. »

Kiefer Sutherland On Board For Flatliners Remake

8 July 2016 8:01 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Kiefer Sutherland is ready to indulge in some wacky science once more.

Deadline reports that, pending a final confirmation between Sutherland and Sony, the actor has committed to starring in the studio’s long-rumored Flatliners remake. It’s a deal that came about after both parties sussed out schedules for both Sutherland’s ABC series Designated Survivor and Flatliners itself.

A re-do of the cult 1990 original, Sutherland is linked to the role of a senior doctor, and will star alongside the fresh faces of Ellen Page, Rogue One star Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiersey Clemens.

Almost three decades ago, the seasoned actor played the part of a medical student who, alongside Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon and William Baldwin, come together to discover what mysteries lie beyond death – a daring hypothesis that involves the students pushing themselves to their absolute limits to produce near-death experiences.

Unsurprisingly, such an »

One of the original Flatliners team, Kiefer Sutherland, is returning for the upcoming remake...

One of the original med students who messed a little too much with the line between this world and the next will be starring as an experienced doctor in the resurrected version of the 1990 chiller Flatliners.

Kiefer Sutherland has worked out his schedule for the new TV series Designated Survivor to join the cast of the new Flatliners, starring Ellen Page, Diego Luna, Nina Dobrev, James Norton and Kiersey Clemens as the next generation of doctors-in-training ready to go under.

Flatliners follows five medical students - originally played by Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Kevin Bacon, Billy Baldwin and Oliver Platt - whose curiosity almost literally kills them when they start to trigger near-death experiences so they can witness what really exists on the other side without ending up six feet under. Kiefer Sutherland is bringing some '90s nostalgia to the 'Flatliners' remake

First of all, I'd just like to point out that there was already, ostensibly, a remake of Flatliners. But okay, they're still doing another one anyway! Lalalalalala Can't Hear You Over The Sound Of This Cold Hard Cash. The new film stars Ellen Page, Nina Dobrev, James Norton, Kiersey Clemens and now original cast member Kiefer Sutherland, who's is in talks for the role of a "seasoned doctor," according to Deadline.  Hmmm..."seasoned doctor"...could he possibly be playing Nelson Wright, the same character he portrayed in the original movie? Medical students do tend to pursue careers in the medical field, just saying! The original Flatliners was directed by Joel Schumacher and starred Sutherland, Julia Roberts, Oliver Platt, William Baldwin and Kevin Bacon as medical school students who experiment with near death experiences. The film grossed over $60 million in North America. »
