Chicago – The season finale of TNT Network’s “The Last Ship” was this previous Sunday (Sep. 11, 2016), and as finales tend to do, there were surprises. One of these shocks was the death of the character Roberta Price, the regional leader of the Deep South. The actress who portrayed her, Lucy Butler, was a surprised as anyone else, and talked to HollywoodChicago.com regarding the transition.

The Last Ship” is a popular action-drama show on TNT, and has been renewed for Season Four in 2017. The premise is in the title, when a worldwide epidemic has wiped out 80% of the world’s population, a lone naval destroyer floats with 218 souls on board, working on a cure. “The Last Ship” features Eric Dane as Captain Tom Chandler, Rhona Mitra as Dr. Rachel Scott and Adam Baldwin as Captain Mike Slattery. Arrow Video to Release Creepshow 2 and 2001’s Pulse on Blu-ray this December

Arrow Video has announced their December release slate, including several Blu-rays that horror fans will want to pencil in on their holiday wish lists.

Arrow Video announced that they will release Creepshow 2 on both a limited edition and standard edition Blu-ray with a 2K restoration of the original film elements.

Other December Blu-ray releases include a Us/UK Blu-ray and DVD release of 2001's Pulse, aka Kairo, as well as UK Blu-ray releases of Donnie Darko, The Guyver, Cohen & Tate, The Burning, Hell Comes to Frogtown, and Hellgate. The Last Ship is not running out of fuel anytime soon.

Only one month after announcing The Last Ship Season 4 was smooth sailing, TNT has announced they're just going ahead and ordering up another season while they're at it.

After all, when what was only supposed to be a fun, bombs away, pass the popcorn type of show is still garnering 7.1 million viewers in its third year, you decide not to look a gift ship in the bow.

"The Last Ship has taken viewers on an exciting ride through three truly thrilling seasons," said Sarah Aubrey, executive vice president of original programming for TNT.

"We look forward to watching the cast and production team ratchet up the drama, action and suspense even more over the next two seasons through summer 2018."

The Last Ship Season 4 and 5 will consist of ten episodes each.

‘The Last Ship’ Renewed for Season 5 at TNT

The Last Ship’s” journey will continue on TNT for another season.

The Turner network renewed the drama, starring Eric Dane, for a fifth season on Thursday. The show was just picked up for Season 4 in July at the Television Critics Association’s Summer Press Tour. Each season will consist of 10 episodes.

“‘The Last Ship’ has taken viewers on an exciting ride through three truly thrilling seasons,” said Sarah Aubrey, TNT’s executive vice president of original programming. “We look forward to watching the cast and production team ratchet up the drama, action, and suspense even more over the next two seasons through summer 2018.”

According to TNT, “The Last Ship” is one of basic cable’s Top 10 summer dramas among adults 18-49, reaching an average of 7.1 million viewers per episode across multiple platforms.

TNT Renews ‘Last Ship,’ Greenlights Charles Barkley Series

TNT made several key series announcements during its presentation at the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The Turner-owned network greenlit a limited-run series “The Race Card” from Charles Barkley,” ordered Rod Lurie’s “Monster of God” pilot, as well as renewed “The Last Ship” for a fourth season.

In “The Race Card,” a limited-run series, Barkley plans to take on today’s hot-button topics by seeking out the sharpest and most varied viewpoints from cultural leaders and tastemakers.

“We as Americans never discuss the issue of race in this country and how it impacts everything in our lives until something bad happens,” Barkley said. “I see this project as a way to talk about race, class and cultural differences and challenge everyone’s status quo.”

The Last Ship Season 3: New Extended Trailer and A Heroic Return!!

The stars of TNT's The Last Ship made a stop at San Diego Comic Con this Thursday.

They brought with them some conversation and news about what's ahead.

Eric Dane (Capt. Tom Chandler), Bridget Regan (Sasha Cooper) and Adam Baldwin (Capt. Mike Slattery) were on stage along wth executive producer Steven Kane.

Not only did they show an exclusive clip to convention goers and the incredible trailer that follows, they talked in some depth about making the series and what it means to them.

For example, it's important to get it right. Regan is playing a new character this season, and she had her work cut our for her.

“One of my favorite things about the show is the amount of effort that everyone puts into getting the Navy right and doing it justice,” she told the crowd.
