The Republican party finally has a clear candidate for President in former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney, but not that long ago it seemed the primary race would never end.
Over the many months, Jon Stewart made sure we didn't miss a single gaffe, "oops," or outlandish remark with his analysis on "The Daily Show," and we still have half a year of general election campaigning to get through. But before Stewart digs into the rich comedic field which is Romney vs. Obama, you can catch up with all the best moments from the Gop primary race in just four minutes.
While Jon and the "Best F#@king News Team" were off this week, the show put together all the biggest highlights, including Michele Bachmann's husband Marcus, the best of the early dropouts (T-Paw, anyone? ) and all the funniest things Rick Perry and Herman Cain couldn't remember to say.

Two of our favorite John Cusack (2012) movies are High Fidelity and Grosse Pointe Blank, and we’re thrilled to finally have them on high-definition Blu-ray.
2000′s High Fidelity and 1997′s Grosse Pointe Blank and both smart, fast-talking and very funny films.
Based on the book by Nick Hornby, High Fidelity tells the story of Rob (Cusack) a record store owner and compulsive list maker who’s having relationship issues. After his girlfriend (Iben Hjejle) leaves him for their older and very strange neighbor (Tim Robbins, Bull Durham), Rob recounts his top five breakups, visiting his exes (including Catherine Zeta-Jones, The Rebound) to find out where he went wrong.

A new teaser trailer for the Franck Khalfoun helmed remake of psycho flick 'Maniac', starring Elijah Wood ('Sin City'), has emerged from the Cannes Film Festival. The movie co-stars Nora Arnezeder ('Safe House'), Hank Azaria ('Run Fatboy Run'), America Olivo ('Bitch Slap', 'No One Lives') and Sal Landi and the freaky new teaser which is largely Pov features various elements of brutality, nudity, horror and a topless chick. Alexandre Aja ('The Hills Have Eyes', 'Mirrors', 'Piranha 3D') and co-writer Gregory Levasseur once again get their teeth into a redo by providing the script based on the original William Lustig helmed horror from 1980. Ben Affleck kept an eye on daughters Violet and Seraphina Affleck Saturday while out shopping in La. The trio swung by Williams-Sonoma, possibly picking up a Mother's Day present for Jennifer Garner, and happened to run into Halle Berry and Olivier Martinez outside the shop. Ben and Halle shared a hug and chatted before the groups went on their separate ways. Later in the afternoon, Ben swung by Hank Azaria's Playing for Good poker tournament. Yesterday was all about Jennifer for the Garner-Affleck family. Last week, though, Ben got a head start on the Mother's Day celebrations. Ben posted a video on Facebook thanking the ladies in his life, saying, "I want to say Happy Mother's Day to the moms in my life: my mom Chris and my amazing wife Jennifer, who is an incredible, spectacular, world-class mom." We have the first three official photos from director Franck Khalfoun's remake of the 1980 horror film Maniac. Check out a bloody Elijah Wood, who stars as a mannequin storeowner with a taste for scalps.
Just when the streets seemed safe, a serial killer with a fetish for scalps is back and on the hunt. Frank is the withdrawn owner of a mannequin store, but his life changes when young artist Anna appears asking for his help with her new exhibition. As their friendship develops and Frank's obsession escalates, it becomes clear that she has unleashed a long-repressed compulsion to stalk and kill.

Blythe Danner is Gwyneth Paltrow's mom in real life, but the actress has an entire brood of famous children onscreen. From Cameron Diaz to Christina Applegate and Maura Tierney, Danner has played mom to a bundle of Hollywood starlets -- including her own daughter. Blythe starred with Gwyneth in 2003's"Sylvia."
Danner's best known mom role is Dina Byrnes, Robert De Niro's Wasp-y wife in 2000's "Meet the Parents," and its subsequent sequels, 2004's "Meet the Fockers" and 2010's "Little Fockers."
Of course, she doesn't stop there. In 2005 -- and 2006 -- Blythe took home the Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for her portrayal of a manipulative-yet-irreverent mom in "Huff." Hank Azaria played her optimistic son Craig, a complete contrast to her other famous TV son, Will Truman, on "Will & Grace."

The 'Maniac' remake is coming to life at last by revealing a trio of new stills from the redo based on William Lustig's 80's slasher flick. The pics have appeared ahead of its premiere this month and features two of its stars Elijah Wood ('Sin City') - looking bloody, and Nora Arnezeder ('Safe House') looking hot. Franck Khalfoun's ('P2') directs from a script provided by Gregory Levasseur and horror remake expert Alexandre Aja ('The Hills Have Eyes', 'Mirrors', 'Piranha 3D'). Hank Azaria ('Run Fatboy Run'), America Olivo ('Bitch Slap', 'No One Lives') and Sal Landi also star in the upcoming slash fest. The Smurfs 3 in Development

Two weeks ago, we reported that Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation commenced production on The Smurfs 2, which is set for release July 31, 2013. Today, Columbia Pictures has hired writers Karey Kirkpatrick and Chris Poche (Over The Hedge) to begin working on the script for The Smurfs 3.
Jordan Kerner, who produced The Smurfs and The Smurfs 2, is on board for the new sequel. It isn't known yet if Raja Gosnell will return to direct the third installment.
The Smurfs 2 is bringing back live-action cast members Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Sofía Vergara, and Hank Azaria, with voice actors Katy Perry (Smurfette), Jonathan Winters (Papa Smurf), Alan Cumming (Gutsy), Fred Armisen (Brainy), George Lopez (Grouchy), Anton Yelchin (Clumsy), and John Oliver (Vanity Smurf) also returning. It is too early to tell if they will all reprise their roles for The Smurfs 3.

A third Smurfs script is being developed by Karey Kirkpatrick and Chris Poche, and he sequel hasn't even launched yet Sony Pictures Animation and Columbia Pictures are apparently very confident that their Smurfs will once again charm the box office in The Smurfs 2, that they're already developing a screenplay for the third film with Kirkpatrick and Poche (Over the Hedge), sources told Variety. Smurfs 2 is currently in production, with Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, Katy Perry and Hank Azaria reprising their roles, and new cast members including J.B. Millennium Films have released a brand new magazine-style poster for Lovelace.
Directed by filmmaking duo Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman (Howl), Lovelace details the trials and tribulations of real-life porn star Linda Lovelace: a woman lead to suicide by the coercive industry and her abusive husband.
The film, which sports a screenplay from relative newcomer Andy Bellin (Trust), stars Amanda Seyfried, Peter Sarsgaard, Wes Bentley, James Franco, Hank Azaria, Adam Brody, Chris Noth, Sarah Jessica Parker, Chloë Sevigny, Sharon Stone and Juno Temple.
With the other Linda Lovelace biopic, titled Inferno, failing to gain traction, Lovelace has all the necessary ingredients to present an accurate and controversial insight into the inner workings of the ever-shady porn industry and one of their most known stars.
Lovelace will be released in U.K. cinemas later this year.

While there has been more than a few movies about the porn industry, there's really only "Boogie Nights" and then everything else, but "Howl" directors Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman hope to change that with "Lovelace." A biopic of the infamous porn star, the subject has already spawned a compelling docmentary ("Inside Deep Throat") and their starry production aims to tell the salacious tale of the woman who became famous for a very particular skill.
Amanda Seyfried takes on the title role of the "Deep Throat" star who led a tumultuous life, achieving notoreity in the burgeoning XXX biz, before claiming she was abused and coerced by her husband Chuck Traynor (Peter Sarsgaard), and she later became a staunch anti-porn advocate. There are a lot of elements being juggled here -- the hedonistic '70s, feminism, pornography -- so it will be interesting to see how Epstein and Friedman tackle the story. »
