Will Opens The Door To Another Dimension In Latest Stranger Things Season 2 Poster

22 September 2017 7:18 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Young Will Byers opens the door to another dimension in the latest, downright creepy poster for Stranger Things season 2.

Unveiled via Twitter, below you’ll see the haunted Will (Noah Schnapp) essentially staring into the abyss, as that tentacled sky-demon looms overhead. Dubbed the Shadow Monster (Thessalhydra?) by series creators and showrunners Matt and Ross Duffer, this is another sure-fire sign that the youngest Byers will be suffering a potent case of Ptsd come October. And if you had spent days wasting away in the Upside-Down, wouldn’t you?

Yes, the Demogorgon may have been reduced to ashes – at the expense of Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven, it seems – but the Duffers have vowed to unleash a horde of new monsters in Stranger Things season 2. And judging by this all-new poster, it would seem Will Byers has become something of a walking conduit of the Upside-Down, given his dreams are plagued with blood-red, »

Giant Insects Attack Coachella in Insane Dead Ant Trailer

The trailer for Dead Ant is here and it looks like a classic monster movie mixed with Spinal Tap. The movie is a comic reimagining of the sci-fi classic of Them!. The B-movie vibe is laid on extra thick in the new trailer that features Sean Astin tripping out on Peyote and Tom Arnold pulling out a gun to shoot a giant ant after explaining that he carries the gun because he's in the music business. If that doesn't make you want to watch the movie, who knows what will. The impressive cast looks like they had a blast making Dead Ant and the soundtrack is stuffed with fake 80s metal adding to the fun.

The Goonies Cast Reunite for Special Anniversary Dinner

12 September 2017 8:59 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

You know the old mantra. The Goonies never say die! And while we'll probably never get Goonies 2, stars Corey Feldman, Sean Astin and Jonathan Ke Quan have never given up hope. The trio reunited for a special anniversary dinner last night. And Corey Feldman shared an image from the great Goonies feast on his official CDogg Instagram. In the photo, you can see what became of the kids who once went searching for the lost treasure of One-Eyed Willie.

"Goonies dinner! Here I am last night catching up with former cast mates, Sean Astin & Jonathan Ke Quan."

Corey Feldman and Sean Astin have been the biggest champions of getting The Goonies 2 made. Original director Richard Donner confirmed the movie was moving forward way back in 2014. But ever since then, all we've ever heard about the project has mostly added up to wishful thinking.

Stranger Things Season 2 will focus on Hopper’s daughter Sarah, according to David Harbour

9 September 2017 5:40 AM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Aside from a brand new threat, and more trips to the “Upside Down”, it looks like Season 2 of Stranger Things is going to dive into Hopper’s relationship with his daughter Sarah. Actor David Harbour, who plays Jim Hopper on the hit Netflix series, went into detail while talking to TV Guide:

“Hopper’s daughter will be the primary focus of Season 2, but not in the way that you think it will be. Hopper’s understanding of that relationship and Hopper’s understanding of being a father and of being a man grows deeper and deeper in Season 2, and we get a lot of time to explore what that is, but it won’t be in the literal way that you think it is.”

Sarah’s death was a defining moment in Jim Hopper’s story arc, and it will be very interesting to gain more insight into the event. »

Grab your beer, set your lineups and welcome the new football season! Yes, thats right! The 2017-2018 NFL season is here and to help kickoff this season I’ve decided to do a top five dedicated to films about the sport. I have always loved the sport since I was a kid. From playing “Tecmo Bowl”, “Madden” just about every year and NFL Blitz to playing the real thing for a number of years. I love the sport almost as much as I love movies. When you put the two together you can get some really memorable films. Here’s my picks for top five football films.

Little Giants

It seems like each sport has at least one film made for children. Baseball has Sandlot, hockey has Mighty Ducks, basketball has Space Jam and so on. Well when it comes to football that film is Little Giants. The Little Giants »

Culture Dump #7: ‘Stranger Things’ can’t rely on nostaglia forever

4 September 2017 4:01 AM, PDT | Blogomatic3000 | See recent Blogomatic3000 news »

When Stranger Things debuted last summer we were treated to something weirdly familiar. The small-town Spielbergian feel, that Stephen King font, countless Dungeons and Dragons references… The Duffer Brothers’ 80s-set sci-fi series was literally dripping with VHS-tinged nostalgia. Thankfully, it also featured some weighty turns from Winona Ryder, David Harbour and Matthew Modine. Combined, they saved it from getting lost in a bouffant-hair tangle of retro callbacks but still – that nostalgia factor undoubtedly played a huge part in shooting it straight to the top of everyone’s binge list in record time.

It’s not that surprising. With pop-culture’s incessant need to reflect on its own past achievements, a retro-gaze show like Stranger Things felt sort of inevitable. Twelve months later and with the Duffer duo prepping an eagerly anticipated second season little seems to have changed, although whether or not it’ll be gobbled up as ravenously by fans remains to be seen. »
