Everything That's Happened Since Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner Split Up

27 May 2017 1:05 PM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Image Source: Getty / Steve Zak Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck finally filed for divorce in April after initially announcing their split in 2015 - and the fact that it's almost been two years isn't the most surprising part of it. People reported that the former couple actually filed together and without lawyers, which are two moves that are increasingly rare with dramatic Hollywood splits. They are also both seeking joint legal and physical custody of their children. All in all, things sound downright amicable, though it's been kind of a rollercoaster of events ever since they first announced they were divorcing. The seemingly friendly exes had been throwing us for a loop, especially since there was news that the divorce was off and then on. To iron out this celebrity relationship timeline (and allow you to have the proper authority when discussing this with your friends at happy hour), we've put »

Justice League producer discusses Joss Whedon’s involvement

26 May 2017 2:29 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Earlier this week Zack Snyder announced that he was stepping down as director of Justice League due to the rather sad news that his daughter had passed away back in March.

With the DC blockbuster gearing up for some reshoots, Snyder is handing directorial duties over to The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron helmer Joss Whedon, and producer Charles Roven has been chatting to Variety about how Whedon became involved with the film:

“We were saddened by the events that caused Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder to have to leave and turn the reins over to Joss Whedon,” said Roven at the premiere of Wonder Woman. “He was already working with us on some of the scenes for the additional photography that we’re gonna be doing shortly, and it was fortunate that Zack convinced him, and he agreed to step in and finish the movie, help Zack finish his vision, »

Watch Ben Affleck Attempt To Replicate Christian Bale's Infamous Batman Voice

26 May 2017 12:05 PM, PDT | LRMonline.com | See recent LRM Online news »

The Dark Knight is widely considered the definitive Batman film -- I think Batman Begins gives it a run for its money -- though one point of criticism most Batman fans would agree upon is Christian Bale's over-the-top Batman voice. In an age when Tobey Maguire was using his normal voice as both Peter Parker and Spider-Man (how did Mary Jane not figure that out from the start?), the "Christian Bale voice defense" was that at least Bruce Wayne had the foresight to disguise his voice, even if he took it in an odd direction.

Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice featured a new Batman in Ben Affleck, and with him, a new take on Batman's voice.  While Christian Bale always sounded like he was going to lose his voice, by shouting all the time, or had lost it, when deeply whispering a lot, Affleck's take sounds »

Watch Ben Affleck Hilariously Imitate Christian Bale's Batman

26 May 2017 10:35 AM, PDT | MovieWeb | See recent MovieWeb news »

Ben Affleck pokes fun at himself by doing his impression of Christian Bale's Batman voice for last night's Red Nose special on NBC. The charity was hosted by Chris Hardwick and featured a ton of celebrities from different fields giving their time to raise money for children all over the world. Affleck came on to answer questions from kids in the comedy sketch and the results are pretty hilarious. The fan debate over Affleck's Batman vs. Bale's Batman is no secret and will often elicit violent verbal jousts from said fans, so it's always nice to see the Batman stars have a little fun with the debate.

In the clip, a child asks for Ben Affleck to do the Batman voice and Affleck obliges, but the child is not satisfied. "No! Do it the way Christian Bale does it," the child says. Ben Affleck looks at the camera for a second, »

Rumour: The Batman could feature Deathstroke, The Joker and The Scarecrow

25 May 2017 12:09 PM, PDT | Flickeringmyth | See recent Flickeringmyth news »

Get your pinch of salt ready, as this rumour stems from Reddit – and more specifically the same “source” who recently offered up some alleged details on the script for The Flash movie – but it seems that Ben Affleck’s Dark Knight may find himself going up against a trio of Rogues when his long-gestating solo movie The Batman finally hits the big screen.

As we already know, the original plan for The Batman was for Slade Wilson, a.k.a. Deathstroke, to be the primary antagonist back when Ben Affleck was directing, with Joe Manganiello cast in the role, and if this report is to be believed Deathstroke will be joined by The Joker and The Scarecrow.

Matt Reeves is yet to officially start work on The Batman, owing to his commitments to Fox’s War for the Planet of the Apes, but it is of course possible that he »

Jennifer Garner Has Perfected the Art of Drinking Coffee While Wearing a Clown Nose

25 May 2017 10:55 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Jennifer Garner is in the Red Nose Day spirit. Ahead of the annual event airing in the Us on Thursday, the actress was spotted getting in on the fun by wearing a red rubber nose while running errands in La with her mom, Patricia, and son Samuel; the trio smiled as they walked down the street in matching red noses, and Jennifer made sure not to let it interfere with taking sips of her coffee. The actress seems to be in good spirits since officially filing for divorce from estranged husband Ben Affleck. Though Ben has reportedly moved out of the house he shared with Jen and their three kids, they spent Easter weekend together as a family and are committed to staying civil while coparenting their son, Samuel, and daughters, Violet and Seraphina. The Byrdes aren’t bad people, they just did a bad thing.

Ok, maybe that’s the wrong Netflix crime drama about a family that finds itself in over their head after some poor decision-making by a character played by someone who previously starred in one of the greatest TV shows of the 2000s.

“Bloodline” jokes aside, this is a fine-looking teaser for “Ozark,” the latest drama series from Netflix, starring Jason Bateman and Laura Linney. Bateman plays Marty, your ordinary family man, who just so happens to be in charge of a money laundering scheme for a Mexican drug cartel. When Marty’s unconventional occupation suddenly shifts from a viable way of supporting a family to a surefire way to endangering one, the race is on to flee their comfy Chicago life into the wooded, aerial-photography-friendly environs of the Ozarks. »

These Photos of Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck Will Take You Way Back

25 May 2017 8:00 AM, PDT | Popsugar.com | See recent Popsugar news »

Back in the early 2000s, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez made headlines in Hollywood with their high-profile relationship. The couple first started dating in July 2002, after meeting on the set of their movie Gigli, and later became engaged a few months later in November. Less than a year later, their wedding was postponed because of "excessive media attention," which led to their breakup in January 2004. While the two eventually moved on with other people, they haven't been shy about talking about their relationship to the press, with Jen referring to it as "a genuine love" in an interview with People. If you're feeling a little nostalgic, you'll definitely get a kick out of these incredible throwback photos of the couple. »

Justice League Reshoots May Give Us More Of Cyborg

24 May 2017 7:05 AM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

It’s safe to say that Justice League – scheduled for release on November 17th – is one of the most highly anticipated comic book movies of recent years. Bringing together several iconic DC superheroes on the big screen, in live-action, for the first time – the film is one on which fans are heavily focused. The rumour mill was fairly quiet for some time, with only the most recent trailer really giving us an indication of what audiences can expect – but with official announcements regarding personnel changes on the project, those rumours are predictably beginning to fly again.

To briefly recap, there were discussions of reshoots recently which caused some concern – predominantly among those that did not fully enjoy Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice. Producer Charles Roven was heard to address those rumours while promoting Wonder Woman – giving very specific information about the fact that the only reshoots that had been »

Justice League Dark movie loses another director

Mike Cecchini May 24, 2017

DC's magical Justice League Dark movie needs a new director, as Doug Liman departs the project.

Get ready for a revolving door of Justice League Dark directors. Just weeks after saying that the movie had "a take on it that I love," director Doug Liman has left the Justice League Dark movie. To complicate matters further, the project, which has been known as Dark Universe for some time, probably needs a new title, since Universal has just decided to name their shared cinematic monsterverse Dark Universe, too.

Variety broke the news of Liman's departure, citing his involvement with Chaos Walking (starring Daisy Ridley) as the reason. When Den Of Geek Us spoke with Liman a few weeks ago, it seems like he already knew that this was going to be an issue, mentioning that "it's going to be about scheduling for me."

The Batman May Feature Joker And Scarecrow

23 May 2017 1:57 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

Another day and another round of DC Extended Universe rumors. Last week, Justice League found itself in the spotlight and this time, it’s Matt ReevesThe Batman which is being placed under the microscope.

The beginning of 2017 saw the project go through quite a bit of trouble, with Ben Affleck departing the director’s chair and then Reeves doing the same, before eventually returning. For now, at least, the film seems to be out of the woods and as it inches closer to production, more and more plot details are beginning to surface. Admittedly, it’ll probably still be quite a while before we hear anything official, as Reeves is currently busy with War for the Planet of the Apes and hasn’t moved over to The Batman just yet, but if one thing’s for certain, it’s that he’s planning to make some big changes to the original script. »

Michael Bay Reflects on His Career as He Receives Hands and Feet Honor

On May 23, Michael Bay will have his hands and feet encased in cement outside the iconic Tcl Chinese Theatre in Hollywood, alongside classic stars from Marilyn Monroe to Meryl Streep.  While Bay is thrilled, he does have one hesitation. “I just remember as a kid, going to see the handprints and I always thought the people who got this honor were so much older,” he says with a laugh.”

For the record, Bay is a youthful 52, but it’s a credit to his career that his accomplishments over the past 20 years have put him in the ranks of his mentors Steven Spielberg and super producer Jerry Bruckheimer, both of whose imprints are also in the Chinese forecourt. And it’s full circle for Bay, a native Angeleno who  discovered he wanted to be a director at that very theater.
