"I make a living in the movies..."
He may also have a career in law enforcement, but as Steven Seagal likes to remind everyone in the opening credits of Steven Seagal: Lawman, his star first rose on the silver screen. So, before Reelz debuts Lawman's upcoming, never-before-seen, lost season on January 2nd at 10pm Et/Pt, let's take a look at our picks of the best five Seagal movies!

Above the Law (1998)
The one that started it all. Prior to playing Chicago vice squad detective Nico Toscani, Seagal had worked as an Aikido instructor and a martial arts coordinator for 1983's Never Say Never Again, but Above the Law turned him in to a full-fledged action star. As »

Of all the names who have been attached to the Expendables franchise, there has been one particularly glaring omission thus far…Michael Dudikoff. Oh, and there’s also been Steven Seagal. He’s often been rumoured but things have never materialised. One belief was that Seagal had felt himself above the project, or that he isn’t keen on ensemble films, but thinking with a bit more logic and a bit more research it becomes fairly obvious this wouldn’t be the case. Seagal may be blessed with an ego that’s hard to match, but he’s also blessed with sense, and appearing in The Expendables will help his career and also mark a nice change of pace (and budget) from the cheap action films and TV he’s doing at the moment. He was also willing to appear in Machete.

Actress Kelly LeBrock, the former wife of Steven Seagal, who portrayed Sci-fi vixen Lisa in the 1980s John Hughes classic Weird Science, was arrested on Nov. 30 on suspicion of driving under the influence, TMZ reported Tuesday, Dec. 17. Per TMZ, the former model was spotted driving "erratically" in the Santa Barbara area by a California Highway Patrol officer. Law enforcement sources claim she was weaving across the double yellow line and driving over the 55 mph speed limit, and that she failed to stop at a stop sign. The officer gave the 53-year-old actress a field sobriety test, which she "didn't do so well" on, TMZ reported. She was then arrested and booked. However, no charges have been »

Ever since the second Expendables movie arrived 16 months ago, there has been constant rumors about who might appear in the third film. Well wonder no more as the teaser trailer for The Expendables 3 is here and, while it shows absolutely zero footage from the film, does confirm who is in the movie. Watch it below. As you can see, there's no Jackie Chan or Steven Seagal, two action stars who were rumored off and on for the better part of a year. You'll also notice no Bruce Willis. His absence is a result of a dispute between him and Stallone during the early stages of development. In short, Willis wanted more money, Stallone said no. It doesn't look like The Expendables 3 will be missing any of them though. The franchise welcomes new additions Harrison Ford, Mel...

What's It About? This little Texan indie is part romance and part dramatic thriller. Casey Affleck, Rooney Mara, and Ben Foster headline this top-notch cast about a man on the run, the woman he loves, and the sheriff who tries to get between them. (Not in a romantic way, just, you know, because he's a man of the law and Affleck's character broke out of jail.)
Why We're In: It's a slow and sweet Sundance favorite, and the Texas weather looks a whole lot hotter than the snow most of us are dealing with every day.

In the movies, Steven Seagal always gets his way. But a recent TV project from the action star ran into some trouble that not even his steely-eyed gaze and aikido expertise could counter. The third season of his reality show, Steven Seagal Lawman, proved to be a bit too controversial for A&E to air so it has remained unseen … until now. Seagal’s exploits as a deputy sheriff in Maricopa County, Ariz., under the auspices of notorious Sheriff Joe Arpaio, will finally make their way to audiences as ReelzChannel begins airing “The Lost Season” Jan. 2. While Arpaio and Seagal … Continue reading →

Anchor Bay's action thriller Force of Execution hits Blu-ray and DVD shelves on December 17th, 2013, and we've got 2 clips as well as the box art from the film starring Steven Seagal, Ving Rhames and Danny Trejo. Keoni Waxman directs from the writing by Richard Beattie and Michael Black. Steven Seagal stars as mob kingpin Mr. Alexander, an old-school boss who rules his criminal empire with both nobility and brutality. For a simple prison hit, he sends his best enforcer and protégé Roman Hurst (Foster). But when the hit goes wrong, Hurst is forced to pay the price of his “failure:” banishment in the city that he almost once ruled. But a war is brewing for the soul of the city between Alexander, a cold-blooded gangster known as ‘The Iceman” (Rhames), and a merciless Mexican cartel. Hurst, with the help of an ex-con restaurant owner (Trejo) who has a few hidden moves of his own, »
“Nebraska” star Will Forte returned as Ted Turner to “Conan” Tuesday — and complained that Conan O’Brien is running TBS into the ground. “I founded TBS with one purpose — so people could enjoy Steven Seagal films without the nudity,” Forte-as-Turner said. “The way they were meant to be enjoyed. I’ll be damned if I’m going to sit here and watch my vision ruined by some sickly wig stand.” Also read: ‘Anchorman’ Ron Burgundy Asks Peyton Manning How He Plays Quarterback Without a Mustache (Video) The tough-talking media mogul didn’t mince words with the ginger-haired comic, labeling him a ”deformed Ron Howard, »

So... who came up with the idea of Vendetta, and why did you make it happen? Be honest... even if this masterpiece stemmed from drunken banter!
Jonathan Sothcott: I had been working with a writer/director called Stephen Reynolds. He sent me a short film called Snowman a couple of years back, which he had ambitions to turn into a feature. From Anchor Bay Films, Sneak Peek footage from director Keoni Waxman's new action feature "Force Of Execution", starring Steven Seagal, Ving Rhames, Bren Foster and Danny Trejo, available in a Blu-ray/DVD combo and DVD, December 17, 2013:

Steven Seagal returns as hardbitten undercover cop Elijah Kane for this action-packed thriller. This time he and his team are up against a new wave of criminals, including a militant neo-Nazi gang - the New Hope - trying to ignite civil unrest in Seattle. Meanwhile, Kane's black ops past catches up with him in the form of his ex-comrade Bird, who is identified as a deadly sniper terrorising the city. »
Nothing screams the holidays quite like Steven Seagal phoning in a performance. And while I’m not suggesting that’s the case with “Force of Execution,” the odds are definitely not on his side. Sorry, big guy. I’ve seen “Black Dawn,” “Out of Reach,” and “Out for a Kill” a little under a dozen times each. I know your game inside and out. Written by Richard Beattie and Michael Black and directed by Keoni Waxman, “Force of Execution” finds Seagal portraying a mob boss who eventually squares off against another gangster. At least he’s not playing a former military type who’s out to save the world this time around. That alone is worth a look, I suppose. Here’s how Anchor Bay describes the flick: Steven Seagal stars as mob kingpin Mr. Alexander, an old-school boss who rules his criminal empire with both nobility and brutality. But »

From zombie outbreaks to food poisoning, here's our selection of the 10 unluckiest fictional airline companies in cinema...
You rarely see real-life airline companies in movies, and for good reason - planes in the movies are always being overrun by snakes, art thieves, the undead, and that actor who plays Hercule Poirot.
Film airline companies are so unlucky, in fact, that even the best efforts of Hollywood's finest actors, heart-throbs and action heroes - from Brad Pitt to Bruce Willis, and Jack Lemmon to Mark Hamill - can't stop their planes from dropping out of the sky or getting into some kind of mishap or other.
To this end, here's a far-from-exhaustive look at what we think are the 10 unluckiest airlines in cinema...

"If you don't maneuver, you'll be out maneuvered. If you're out maneuvered, you will be killed."
Pretty much everybody needs a big dose of badass to prepare for the holiday season, so thank goodness Steven Seagal is here to provide. Starting on December 17th, Force of Execution will be available on Blu-ray and DVD, as well as digital download, and if this trailer is any indication it will be absolutely jam-packed full of action, fight scenes, and mayhem. And Steven Seagal is not the only one bringing the badass. The movie also stars Ving Rhames, Danny Trejo, and martial artist and actor Bren Foster, which sounds like one heck of a good time to us. Check out the trailer and see how many of Steven Seagal's many faces you can spot.
If that trailer wasn't enough to convince you to watch this movie, here's the synopsis:

Steven Seagal is a man of many talents, and everyone knows he's a martial artist, a movie star, and a producer. But in addition to those things he is also an experienced law enforcement officer, a musician, a director, and a writer. But really, what we love best about him is still the acting. Seagal is a tough, straightforward, no-nonsense guy who plays direct, serious, and pragmatic characters, but he still has the chops to make it through just about any type of scene. We've put together a collection of photographs displaying Seagal's emotional range, and it's nothing short of impressive. For even more Seagal action on Reelz be sure to watch Steven Seagal: Lawman Thursdays at 11pm Et/Pt and catch True Justice weekdays at 1pm Et/Pt.
