Eva Amurri Martino Is Most Thankful for 'Confronting' Ptsd and Postpartum Anxiety After Son's Accident One Year Ago
Eva Amurri Martino has many things to be thankful for this year, but most importantly her two children: 13-month-old son Major James and daughter Marlowe Mae, 3.

And to kick off her holiday season, the mother of two hosted a Friendsgiving with 12 close girlfriends to support No Kid Hungry, a national nonprofit working to end child hunger in America — a cause the actress and lifestyle blogger has been supporting since 2013.

“I wanted to get a group of really inspiring women in my life to come together for this great cause without our husbands and kids, to talk about the bigger things

Review: A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)

Christmas is upon us and with every approaching Christmas season, audiences can expect a seasonally themed comedy (or two) to crop up in November/December. This year, in addition to the Daddy’s Home 2 joy, we have a festive sequel to Jon Lucas and Scott Moore’s fine Comedy hit Bad Moms. Unfortunately it seems that A Bad Moms Christmas makes the fundamental error of not actually having many (or arguably any) jokes on show.

The concept is very by the books for festive family fracas fare and sees the three bad matriarchs from the last film – Amy (Mila Kunis), Carla (Kathryn Hahn) and Kiki (Kristen Bell) – prepare for the big show for mums (sorry, ‘moms’)…Christmas. But their job of taking all the stress of the holidays and styling it out will be made even worse this year, as their own mothers – Ruth (Christine Baranski), Sandy (Cheryl Hines) and

Twitter Disproves Paris Hilton’s Claim that She and Britney Spears Invented the Selfie in 2006

  • PEOPLE.com
On Sunday, Paris Hilton announced on Twitter that she and Britney Spears invented the selfie back in 2006, but it didn’t take long before Twitter users began to disprove her claim

“11 years ago today, Me & Britney invented the selfie!” Hilton enthusiastically proclaimed alongside two selfies of the two starlets that served as a receipt for her boast.

However, almost immediately, Twitter users started providing some receipts of their own.

“Liar,” one user wrote alongside a Gif of Geena Davis and Susan Sarandon cozying up to take a selfie with a Polaroid camera in 1991’s Thelma and Louise.

Film tells how Hollywood star Hedy Lamarr helped to invent wifi

Hedy Lamarr starred in biblical blockbusters . Now a Susan Sarandon-produced film will tell how her scientific work pioneered modern communications

It is an extraordinary story, ripe for the telling: a glamorous Hollywood leading lady is at the summit of the film industry, yet treated as a sexual trophy and repeatedly undervalued intellectually. But her scientific knowhow leads to a breakthrough in military technology and opens up the way for contemporary communications methods, such as Bluetooth and wifi.

The remarkable life of the Austrian-born Hedy Lamarr – considered the most beautiful woman in the world by her Hollywood peers in the 1940s and 50s – is now the subject of a documentary, co-produced by the actress Susan Sarandon, which receives its British premiere in London on Wednesday as part of the Jewish Film Festival.

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Continues to Conquer With $61 Million
Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to continue its reign at the box office in its second weekend with $61.3 million at 4,080 North American locations.

Fox’s Agatha Christie adaptation “Murder on the Orient Express” will open nearly neck-and-neck with Paramount’s comedy sequel “Daddy’s Home 2,” with “Murder” looking to bring in around $28.1 million from 3,341 locations and “Daddy’s 2” to pull in $27.3 million from 3,575 sites.

The third Thor movie ended a monthlong box office slump last weekend when it opened with $122.7 million, the fourth-best launch of 2017, so a decline of under 50% is well above the norm. J.K. Simmons Dishes on Making Jim Gordon a 'Tough Guy,' Says He's Open to 'Spider-Man' Return (Exclusive)
After playing J. Jonah Jameson, the cigar-chomping editor-in-chief of the Daily Bugle, in director Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy, J.K. Simmons is stepping into the rain-soaked shoes of Gotham City Police Commissioner Jim Gordon in the hotly anticipated Justice League, and he says he's looking to bring a different kind of ruggedness to the role.

Et's Ashley Crossan recently sat down with the Oscar winner to talk about taking on the iconic role, and Simmons recalled how daunting the opportunity felt when he first met with director Zack Snyder.

"I don't know anything about show business," Simmons hilariously prefaced his account of his first meeting with the blockbuster director. "My agent called and said, 'Zack Snyder wants to meet with you,' and I was like, 'Awesome. Who's that?' And he was like, 'He's like one of the biggest directors.' Not even like, 'This is what it's about,' just, 'Go meet

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Rules With $121 Million Weekend

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Rules With $121 Million Weekend
Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is heading for a stellar opening weekend with $121 million at 4,080 North American locations — the fourth best launch of 2017.

The third Thor movie is also putting an emphatic end to the month-long box office slump that saw the worst October in a decade. Among 2017 titles, its debut weekend trails only “Beauty and the Beast” at $174.8 million, “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” at $146.5 million and “It” at $123.4 million.

Thor: Ragnarok” also officially launches the holiday season with a major bang. Moviegoing has been battered this year by a subpar second half that’s pulled down 2017 grosses by 5%, but it should rebound somewhat, thanks to “Thor: Ragnorak” — which already cut the decline to 4.8% as of Sunday with $8.93 billion. Warner Bros.-DC Entertainment’s “Justice League” (which opens Nov. 17) and Disney-Lucasfilm’s “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” (opening Dec. 15) should keep the positive momentum going.

“November has been a hotbed for blockbusters and is

A Bad Moms Christmas review – a sweet sequel

The defiantly imperfect gang get ready to celebrate the holidays – this time with even more moms

A Bad Moms Christmas is neither about Christmas for Bad Moms, nor a Bad Christmas for Moms. It is simply about being a mum, at Christmas. “Why can’t my husband buy his own mom a Christmas present?” is this sweet sequel’s thesis statement. Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn form a bawdy threesome; Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon their respective mothers. Baranski is too controlling (“moms don’t enjoy, they bring joy”), Hines too codependent and Sarandon like a teenager let loose, but their clashing personalities form part of the festivities.

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ to Smash Fall Slump at $118 Million
Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is set to smash the fall box office stupor, hauling in a massive $118 million at 4,080 North American locations.

The third “Thor” film will rival “Spider-Man: Homecoming” as the second-best opening in 2017 for Marvel, with Friday showings reeling in around $45 million including $14.5 from Thursday previews. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” takes the top spot for Marvel, having opened at $146 million back in May; “Spider-Man” brought in about $117 million in its opening weekend in July.

The film is certified “fresh” on Rotten Tomatoes at a 93%, the seventh Marvel film to receive the “fresh” rating.

Taika Waititi directed “Thor: Ragnarok” from a screenplay by Eric Pearson and the writing team of Craig Kyle and Christopher Yost. It stars Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, Cate Blanchett, Idris Elba, Jeff Goldblum, Tessa Thompson, Karl Urban, Mark Ruffalo, and Anthony Hopkins. The character of Thor, based on Norse mythology, was created in 1962 by Stan Lee, Larry Lieber, and Jack Kirby

Box Office: ‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Rumbling to $115 Million Opening Weekend
Disney-Marvel’s “Thor: Ragnarok” is heading for a massive North American opening weekend in the $115 million range at 4,080 locations, early estimates showed Friday.

STXfilms’ “A Bad Moms Christmas,” which opened Wednesday, is heading for about $23 million for its first five days.

Movie Review – A Bad Moms Christmas (2017)

A Bad Moms Christmas, 2017.

Written and Directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore.

Starring Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell, Kathryn Hahn, Susan Sarandon, Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines, Jay Hernández, Oona Laurence, Justin Hartley, Peter Gallagher, Emjay Anthony, Lyle Brocato, Wanda Sykes, and Christina Applegate.

Synopsis:

A Bad Moms Christmas follows our three under-appreciated and over-burdened women as they rebel against the challenges and expectations of the Super Bowl for moms: Christmas.

It only takes about five minutes to reach the verdict that A Bad Moms Christmas (once again written and directed by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore who have the fortune of a full cast reunion) is one of 2017’s worst movies. There are creepy jokes about pre-pubescent breasts growing in (made even more weird considering that it’s one of the mothers’ memories), a young girl (Oona Laurence, who is actually quite the capable child actor, especially when dealt heavy

A Bad Moms Christmas review – uproarious sequel is older but no wiser

Moms’ moms Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon besiege Mila Kunis and co over the festive season in a silly, sentimental but very funny follow-up to the 2016 comedy

Sequel-franchising a comedy by bringing in the uproariously inappropriate older generation is becoming a bit of a familiar move. Daddy’s Home is about to do it, and now it’s the turn of A Bad Moms Christmas, an entertaining film largely unconcerned about good taste and where, or if, an apostrophe should go in the title.

It follows up the story of Bad Moms, which came out just last year, about those woefully inadequate parents and caregivers Amy, Kiki and Carla, played by Mila Kunis, Kristen Bell and Kathryn Hahn. Now their own terrifying mothers are coming to stay for Christmas, played by Christine Baranski, Cheryl Hines and Susan Sarandon. They are respectively named Ruth, Sandy and finally Isis – as the latter helpfully explains,
