Will Forte offers MacGruber 2 update: "I'm very excited"

29 August 2014 5:06 PM, PDT | Digital Spy | See recent Digital Spy - Movie News news »

Will Forte has revealed that development on MacGruber 2 is moving along swiftly.

The actor officially confirmed that a sequel was in the works in 2013, following years of uncertainty over whether he would reprise his action hero character again.

Speaking to Collider, Forte said that writer-director Jorma Taccone is hard at work on MacGruber 2's storyline.

"Jorma just sent an outline for MacGruber 2," he said. "We had worked together on something and I had fleshed out the first act of MacGruber 2. He took that and went nuts on the rest of it."

The actor continued: "I'm very excited because I feel like at some point, if somebody will let us do it, then we'll do it. But it's out of our hands. But we're writing it for sure."

The original MacGruber film centred on the kooky special operations agent and his assistants (Kristen Wiig, Ryan Phillippe) racing to stop a plot »

28 August 2014 9:09 AM, PDT | | See recent news »

Reclaim is gearing up for release next month and we have an exclusive clip from the film to share with you today.  The clip features John Cusack and Rachelle Lefevre engaging in some beach-side conversation that gets a bit too personal (and a bit too creepy) a bit too quick.  My advice for her would be to run away and take her adopted daughter with her.  Ryan Phillippe also stars in the film along with Luis Guzman and Jacki Weaver. Reclaim was directed by Alan White from a script by Luke Davies and Carmine Gaeta and if definitely seems like it explores the shady underbelly of the international adoption process.  Hit the jump to check out the Reclaim clip!  The film opens in limited theaters and On-Demand this September 19th. 22 August 2014 4:00 AM, PDT | Moviefone | See recent Moviefone news »

Eva Green never let her role as a Bond Girl typecast her, and, today, the actress is working more than ever.

After getting her start in an erotic Bertolucci film and breaking out in 2005's "Casino Royale," Green has played one captivating role after another. She was a standout in Tim Burton's poorly received "Dark Shadows" (2012) opposite Johnny Depp and is currently earning rave reviews for her mysterious and supernaturally-charged Vanessa in Showtime's "Penny Dreadful." This summer, she can be found as the sexy and manipulative Ava in Frank Miller's "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For."

From her famous relatives to her connection to President Nicolas Sarkozy, here are 27 things you probably don't know about Eva Green.

1. Eva Gaëlle Green was born July 6, 1980 in Paris, France to Marlène Jobert, a French actress, and Walter Green, a dentist.

Katie Holmes almost scored two virginal teenager roles in the late '90s.

In addition to playing Joey Potter on Dawson's Creek, screenwriter/director Roger Kumble revealed to Cosmopolitan magazine that Holmes was considered to take on the lead role of good girl Annette Hargrove in the 1999 film Cruel Intentions. Kumble said the studio really wanted the young actress but he thought, at the time, the film "needed someone with a little more strength of character."

That's when he and Cruel Intentions leading man Ryan Phillippe decided to persuade the actor's then-girlfriend (and later his first wife) Reese Witherspoon to take the part.

News: Katie Holmes Was Almost On This Netflix Show!

"So, basically, we took Reese out to dinner to get her drunk, and we ended up getting drunk," Kumble admitted. "And I literally got down on my knees and begged her: 'Please »

John Cusack Is a Bad Man in Adoption Thriller Reclaim

6 August 2014 9:00 PM, PDT | Vulture | See recent Vulture news »

In ReclaimRyan Phillippe and Rachelle Lefevre star as a couple who travel to Puerto Rico to adopt a child, only to discover that they have been lured in by a black-market-adoption scam. Things turn pretty ugly, and it seems that straggly-haired John Cusack is to blame, if all his ominous monologues and gun-wielding and duct-taping of peoples' mouths shut are any indication. So you're too good for Hot Tub Time Machine 2, but you're not too good to play the stock villain? Damn it, Cusack, it's like we don't even know you anymore. »

Reclaim Trailer With John Cusack, Ryan Phillippe and Rachelle Lefevre

6 August 2014 4:15 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

And just like that, there’s a new John Cusack movie.  Technically, Reclaim seems to focus more on the beleaguered would-be parent characters of Ryan Phillippe and Rachelle Lefevre, but there’s do denying the fact that Cusack is now a prolific master of the surprise attack.  The film, which I hadn’t heard of before today, also boasts Luis Guzman and Jacki Weaver among its cast. Reclaim was directed by Alan White from a script by Luke Davies and Carmine Gaeta and I can’t say I’m terribly blown away.  It looks serviceable, but flat.  The kind of movie that pretty much defines the mid-level tier of the annual Afm market.  Still, it could end up being something of an ironic classic if it contains a few more lines in the vein of, “you bought our daughter on the black market?”  Hit the jump for the Reclaim trailer! »

John Cusack To ‘Reclaim’ You In Latest Trailer

6 August 2014 3:18 PM, PDT | The Hollywood News | See recent The Hollywood News news »

John Cusack was once the oddball star of such classics as High Fidelity, Being John Malkovich and Grosse Pointe Blank, but 2014 has seen the actor knock out 4 films already with more to come by the end of the year. These aren’t the wonderful films Cusack used to put out but are instead a range of straight to DVD films, or films that share a limited theatrical run with an on demand release date. Reclaim is no different, with Cusack being a sinister guy who adopts out children for high prices, and then reclaims them in order to continue the scame. Ryan Phillippe plays an unsuspecting American who, along with his wife played by Rachelle Lefevre, become victims to the menacing Cusack, but will stop at nothing to get their recently adopted daughter back. It looks like a decent bit of action fluff, but surely Cusack must be running on empty by now. »

John Cusack Is A Very Bad Man In Trailer For Reclaim

5 August 2014 4:40 PM, PDT | We Got This Covered | See recent We Got This Covered news »

The only thing more depressing that a bad movie trailer is seeing a good cast in a bad movie trailer. That’s what seems to be happening with the upcoming thriller Reclaim, which features two actors who have seen better days: John Cusack and Ryan Phillippe.

Cusack is the bad guy in this scenario, and he certainly looks the part, wearing a windbreaker and a baseball cap and being a generally not-very-nice person. He’s a scammer coming after Ryan Phillippe and his beautiful wife Rachelle Lefevre (Twilight), who are down in Puerto Rico finalizing an adoption. As the trailer informs us, it turns out that Cusack and his cronies are part of a ring who scam people into paying for an adoption and then turn around and make off with the kid – hence the “reclaim” of the title. Things are going to go from bad to worse, though, what »

Another Forgettable John Cusack Role in the 'Reclaim' Thriller Trailer

5 August 2014 2:45 PM, PDT | | See recent news »

It seems like every John Cusack movie lately comes and goes just as quickly as we briefly hear about it online. From The Prince to The Numbers Station and even Grand Piano (though it's pretty entertaining), they all offer nothing in the vein of memorable performances from the actor who once shined on the big screen. And it looks like another one is on the way in this trailer for Reclaim. This one is supposedly inspired by real events and follows an American couple who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize an adoption and pick up their seven year-old adoptee, but as you might expect, things aren't at all what they seem to be. Ugh. Here's the first trailer for Alan White's Reclaim from USA Today: Reclaim is directed by Alan White (Broken) and written by Luke Davies and Carmine Gaeta. The film follows Steven (Ryan Phillippe) and Shannon (Rachelle LeFevre), an American couple, »

New Trailers: "Left Behind," "Reclaim"

5 August 2014 10:29 AM, PDT | Dark Horizons | See recent Dark Horizons news »

Nicolas Cage and John Cusack have been less than discerning with their film gigs in recent years, picking a lot of modestly budgeted thrillers that get poor reviews and barely go theatrical. How many remember the likes of "The Bag Man," "Drive Hard," "The Frozen Ground," "The Factory," "Seeking Justice," "Stolen," "Trespass," "Rage," or "The Numbers Station"?

Today comes trailers for two more. First up is "Left Behind," the film version of the popular book series by Tim Lahaye and Jerry B. Jenkins which deals with what would happen if the Christian Rapture and Apocalypse took place today. The focus here though isn't on wider society, but rather a family lead by Cage's pilot character.

The second is for Cusack's "Reclaim" which co-stars Ryan PhillippeRachelle LefevreJacki Weaver and Luis Guzman. That follows an American couple who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize an adoption, only to learn it was a scam. »

Watch: John Cusack Scams Ryan Phillippe In Trailer For Thriller 'Reclaim'

5 August 2014 10:27 AM, PDT | The Playlist | See recent The Playlist news »

While Nicolas Cage tends to get the brunt of criticism/derision for jobs likely accepted based on how many zeros appear on his paycheck, let's pour one out for John Cusack. He has been sliding into a comfortable groove of forgettable movies ("Drive Hard," "The Prince"), and so it goes with "Reclaim," which you probably didn't know existed. Well, it does. Co-starring Ryan PhillippeRachelle LefevreJacki Weaver and Luis Guzman, the story follows an American couple who travel to Puerto Rico to finalize an adoption and pick up their seven year-old adoptee, only to they realize that (all together now, class!) things aren't what they seem. There's some sort of scam, Phillippe looks desperate, Guzman glowers, and websites can't be found on iPads. Oh no! And oh yeah, Cusack hangs around, wearing a windbreaker and ballcap and looks sleazy. As for the Playlist? We wonder how the cast was »
