Win tickets to the London premiere of Inglourious Basterds

15 July 2009 3:15 AM, PDT | From Boxwish.com | See recent BoxWish news

“Brad Pitt is a Basterd!” Apparently so are Eli Roth and Diane Kruger. No, we’re not getting nasty, just enjoying some of the tag-lines for the much-hyped return of Quentin Tarantino with Inglourious Basterds. The rip-roaring ensemble World War II action adventure sees a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as “the Basterds” hunt down Nazis and led by Pitt’s Lieutenant Aldo Raine, they mean business (“Each and every man under my command owes me one hundred Nazi scalps… and I want my scalps!” he hollers). And while the rest of us will have to wait until the 21st August to catch the latest effort from the Chin, one lucky person and a chum can see it almost a month earlier by winning a pair of tickets to the London premiere. Read on for more info.

'Bruno' Star Sacha Baron Cohen Is Just One Of Hollywood's Top Cinematic Chameleons

14 July 2009 12:30 PM, PDT | From MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news

How weird is it that, out of Sacha Baron Cohen’s three trademark characters, Ali G is now the least famous of them all? With this past weekend’s strong “Brüno” opening, the UK-born and raised funnyman has once again fooled the world into believing that he is someone else. Where he goes from here is anyone’s guess, but as we play Monday-morning quarterback there is an even more pressing question: is Cohen the greatest cinematic "chameleon" of all time?

There are few things I love more in a movie than when an actor fully immerses himself in another persona. Sometimes it’s for comedy, sometimes it’s for drama... but whatever the performance is in the name of, when done right it can make that performer a legend. Below are my favorite "chameleon" actors of all time. Post your thoughts in the comments section and tell us where

New Inglourious Basterds Poster

13 July 2009 6:06 AM, PDT | From Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news

The Weinstein Co. has released yet another poster for Quentin Tarantino's upcoming World War II revenge movie, Inglourious Basterds. This one marks the 14th poster released for the movie, which some might call unnecessary but has, frankly, been a pretty cool campaign. If all your posters are this good, you earn the right to do that — otherwise please refrain (we're looking in your direction, G.I. Joe: Rise of the Cobra).

The image is similar to earlier posters and stills of Brad Pitt as Lt. Aldo Raine, but composed in a manner stolen from reminiscent of works by master fantasy artist Frank Frazetta.

Inglorious Basterds also stars Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, B.J. Novak, Julie Dreyfus, and Eli Roth.

Tarantino Confirms Inglourious Basterds Final Runtime

8 July 2009 6:00 PM, PDT | From ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news

About six weeks ago, Screen Rant reported on the rumors that Quentin Tarantino was going to be re-editing his WWII film Inglourious Basterds, even adding some scenes and thus adding a lot more minutes to the almost two-and-a-half hour Cannes version runtime. The majority of movie goers who weren’t lucky enough to be at Cannes to see the Basterds premiere could cling onto the fact that when we see the film we will get more of those Basterds to enjoy.

Well, today we get word from Tarantino himself that the final runtime of Inglourious Basterds is a full One Minute longer than the Cannes cut. Ah, and there was us fans looking forward to another Gone With The Wind length marathon…

After the news came out that Tarantino would be re-editing Basterds post-Cannes, a rumor surfaced that the Weinsteins (namely Harvey) were pressuring him to cut a shocking 40 minutes from the reported,

‘Inglourious Basterds’ Co-Star Eli Roth Wants To Know: How Does Brad Pitt Go To The Bathroom?

6 July 2009 9:00 AM, PDT | From MTV Movies Blog | See recent MTV Movies Blog news

If you had a few hours alone with the most famous actor in the world, what would you ask him? That was the thought process driving director/actor Eli Roth when he appeared alongside Brad Pitt in the upcoming Quentin Tarantino flick, “Inglourious Basterds.” Naturally, Roth asked something we all might want to know: how does the dude go to the bathroom?

“I was wondering: ‘You’re at a baseball game and you have to take a p-ss,” Roth said with a laugh, remembering his query on the set of “Inglourious Basterds.” “What do you do?”’

Credit Mr. Angelina Jolie with an open-book answer, as Pitt told Roth that it happens to him all the time. “It’s a real problem,” Roth recalled Pitt’s response. “[He told me] ‘you go into a bathroom at Dodger Stadium, and everyone is looking at you. It’s kind of weird… you have to wait until the Dodgers are up,

Inglourious Basterds Primed for Sequel

2 July 2009 7:46 AM, PDT | From Reelzchannel.com | See recent ReelzChannel news

The latest movie from director Quentin Tarantino, Inglourious Basterds, hasn't even hit theaters yet and there's already talk of a sequel – or a prequel – on its way. Harvey Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Co. and longtime producer of Tarantino's films, said that Tarantino has enough Basterds backstory for a whole series of movies:

We could do two movies, three movies. I was begging for the movies, but Quentin wanted to do the TV series, Bob wanted to do the TV series, so it was like two against one, you know?

And then Quentin turns it into one movie. Go figure.

When asked if superstar actor Brad Pitt would be interested in reprising the role of Lt. Aldo Raine, Weinstein said:

Brad wants to do Inglourious II. We all want to do it. And the movie hasn't even come out yet! Inglourious Basterds also stars Mike Myers, Diane Kruger, B.J. Novak,

New Inglourious Basterds International Trailer

1 July 2009 12:10 AM, PDT | From ScreenRant.com | See recent Screen Rant news

Last week, Screen Rant reported on the second full trailer for the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film, Inglourious Basterds, and it was excellent.

That teaser emphasized the style of the film and revealed a brief outline of what the film’s plot may lead up to. Today’s international trailer does much more of the same and is just as good.

Inglourious Basterds (intentionally misspelled) is the long-awaited Quentin Tarantino project set during World War II in Nazi-occupied France about a group of Jewish-American soldiers (the “Basterds”) selected to terrorize Nazis throughout the Third Reich. If you’ve not seen any footage from the movie as of yet, this trailer will quickly give you an idea of what the movie’s all about.

Watch and see what you think:

New Domestic and International Inglourious Basterds Trailers

30 June 2009 8:14 PM, PDT | From TheHDRoom | See recent TheHDRoom news

A pair of Quentin Tarantino's Inglourious Basterds made the rounds today, one designed for North America and the other Europe. Guess which one is better? That's a silly question; international trailers are 99 times out of 100 superior to what we get stateside. In the case of Inglourious Basterds, the international version gives a broader scope of the film and plot while the Us version is less effective with a concentration on select scenes. Both trailers are ready for you to check out below with the international flavored one on top. Inglourious Basterds stars Brad Pitt, Eli Roth, Mike Myers, Michael Fassbenderr, Diane Kruger, Daniel Bruhl, Til Schweiger, Melanie Laurent, B.J. Novak and Samm Levine and will be released on August 21.
